From boxed parts to an agreed finished build
Flat-pack
builds
Boxes delivered is not always the job finished. Synergix can coordinate flat-pack delivery, assembly, positioning and an agreed handover across mainland UK. We prepare teams around your product and its instructions, from furniture to customer-specific outdoor builds. Send the model, quantities and site details so we can confirm the people, skills and working time required.

What we provide
Flat-pack builds
This service focuses on products supplied as components that need building to the manufacturer's method. Delivery, carrying, assembly, any required securing and packaging collection are separate parts of the brief. We join the accepted parts into one plan, with the final location and completion requirements agreed in advance.
Product information
Quote the exact build
A product name alone can hide different sizes, options and accessories. Send links or instructions, model references, box counts and quantities so the quotation reflects the actual work.
Connected service
Deliver and build together
Arrange transport and assembly as one coordinated job where suitable. Specify where the boxes must be carried and assembled. Standard two-person delivery alone remains kerbside; on-site assembly needs its own agreed scope.
Retail preparation
Prepare around your range
For repeat work, share approved methods and common product variations. We train or appoint suitably skilled drivers and mates around the work accepted, allowing a delivery programme to include the right finishing tasks.
Completion
Position, check and hand over
Agree the finished position and checks, including any outstanding parts or securing requirements. Packaging can be collected when pre-arranged, with materials, quantity and onward destination confirmed.

These are typical standard-body planning figures. Actual load space, doors, loading equipment and usable payload must be checked for the assigned vehicle.
| Vehicle | Load space | Payload | Checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small van | 1.2 × 1 × 1 m | Up to 400 kg | Compact loads. Check item size and handling at each end. |
| SWB van | 2.4 × 1.2 × 1.2 m | Up to 800 kg | Smaller goods. Check door openings and wheel arches. |
| LWB van | 3.6 × 1.2 × 1.8 m | Up to 1,250 kg | Longer enclosed loads. Check openings and restraint. |
| XLWB van | 4.2 × 1.2 × 1.8 m | Up to 1,100 kg | Extra length for bulky goods. Length does not increase lifting capacity. |
| Luton van | 4 × 2 × 2 m | Up to 1,100 kg | Bulky items. Up to 900 kg with a tail lift; confirm platform capacity. |
| 7.5 tonne lorry | 6 × 2.2–2.4 × 2–2.445 m | Up to 2,400 kg | Body-dependent dimensions. Confirm unloading equipment and access. |
| 18 tonne lorry | 7.5 × 2.4 × 2.5 m | Up to 9,000 kg | Larger loads. Confirm turning space and unloading. |
| 26 tonne lorry | 8 × 2.5 × 2.6 m | Up to 15,000 kg | Larger rigid capacity. Equipment reduces usable payload. |
| 13.6m artic | 13.6 × 2.5 × 2.6 m | Up to 26,000 kg | Bulk loads and projects. Confirm trailer, loading and access. |
The handling plan still matters.
Vehicle capacity does not establish what a person or team can lift. Tail-lift capacity, the whole platform load, ground conditions and the carrying route need checking. Body conversions and equipment can reduce useful space and payload.
Practical product and project detail
Flat-pack products and projects
The build method matters as much as the product category. These examples show the information that helps us plan a useful service. Send other ready-to-assemble products for individual review.

Beds and bedroom furniture
Provide the bed type, dimensions, storage mechanisms, headboard and any additional drawers or fittings. Tall furniture can need more working space and a securing arrangement. The room must allow the instructions to be followed, not simply accommodate the finished footprint.
Wardrobes, cabinets and shelving
Send the configuration, door type, internal fittings and assembly instructions. Check ceiling clearance as well as floor space. Any manufacturer-required restraint or wall attachment must be identified and agreed, with permissions and a suitable fixing method.
Tables, chairs and household furniture
Counts and variations help plan time for a full room rather than one example item. Identify glass, delicate finishes or heavy tops, plus any components needing more than one person to position. Confirm where each piece should finish.
Desks and commercial furniture
Supply product schedules, room plans and quantities by area. Agree desk combinations, screens, accessories and sequencing around an occupied workplace. Cable connections or electrical work are not implied by assembling the furniture.
Garden furniture and pergola builds
Synergix has undertaken garden pergola work. Send the exact kit, instructions, dimensions and proposed location. Base readiness, anchoring, access, weather exposure and any site permissions need assessment before the build is accepted.
Retail product programmes
A programme can involve the same product across many customer addresses. Use consistent model references and approved methods, but still gather each site's access and readiness information. Similar boxes do not mean identical delivery conditions.
Avoid a half-finished appointment
Ready parts. Ready space. Clear instructions.
Good preparation keeps the team building rather than searching for boxes or trying to work around unfinished rooms. Agree who is responsible for each prerequisite.
Parts
Match the boxes to the product
Check the delivery has all expected cartons and accessories. Keep labels readable and sets together. Tell us about damaged packaging, missing fittings or a build someone has already started.
Instructions
Use the right version
Supply the manufacturer's guide for the actual model and options. Instructions help identify tools, people, working space and securing requirements. A photograph of a completed item is useful context but does not replace the build method.
Space
Allow room to assemble
Prepare a clear working area around the final position and disclose vulnerable flooring. Large panels may need to be laid down, turned or raised during assembly. Check ceiling height and movement space, not just the finished dimensions.
Fixings
Identify securing needs early
Some furniture must be secured as part of its intended safe use. Tell us what the instructions require and who authorises fixing to the property. We must confirm the method and competent people, rather than leave essential securing as an afterthought.
Missing or damaged parts need a decision
Agree who can authorise stopping, completing unaffected items or arranging a revisit. The team should not substitute unsuitable fittings or modify a product simply to make an incomplete kit appear finished.
One build or a planned programme
Make delivery and assembly work together
Retailers need a realistic service promise; site managers need a workable sequence. Build time, carrying and recipient availability all belong in the same schedule.
Customer visits
Set the right expectation
Explain what is being assembled, where, and what the recipient must prepare. We can coordinate the visit with the end user or follow your arrangements, with timing and contact ownership agreed.
Commercial sites
Build in the right order
Provide a room-by-room schedule, site contact and access window. Where rooms are handed over in stages, agree the sequence so unopened stock and assembled furniture do not block the work.
Repeat runs
Plan productive attendance
Day-rate runs and recurring programmes can be discussed around volumes, travel, product complexity and likely time on site. Do not assume a standard number of assemblies fits every day.
Scope
Keep extra tasks visible
Moving existing furniture, dismantling, modifying products, technical connections and taking packaging away all need a place in the quotation. Small additions can change tools, team size or working time.
Why choose Synergix?
The people and capability behind the work.
A practical plan, suitably prepared people and an accountable team to follow the work through.
Prepared people
Training around the product
Synergix can train or appoint skilled people for the work agreed. Product-specific preparation helps retailers offer more than transport without expecting every driver to be an expert in every range.
Retail experience
Used to customer-facing furniture work
We support some of the largest furniture retailers. Clear instructions, recipient care and a useful handover are part of planning the service, with customer identities kept private.
Joined-up planning
Transport and build coordinated
Collection, load space, carrying and assembly can be planned through the same team. That makes it easier to align the delivery appointment with the people needed to finish the accepted work.
Visibility
Tracking and proof of delivery
Follow the transport and receive delivery confirmation. Assembly checklists, photographs and any outstanding-parts report can be agreed separately, so delivery status is not mistaken for a completed build.
Reassurance
Cover checked for the whole brief
Transport is fully insured with applicable goods and value checks. Assembly, fixing and other on-site activities require their own scope and cover confirmation before work is accepted.
National support
Mainland reach and practical experience
Three generations of family transport experience underpin mainland UK operations with 24/7/365 operations support. Build attendance, out-of-hours work and island enquiries depend on the skills and arrangements required.
How the job works
From the brief to the handover.
Agree the work before the appointment so the goods, people, time and site arrangements fit together.
- Share the product schedule
Send guides, model references, quantities and delivery or site information, including anything incomplete or already partly built.
- Confirm scope and readiness
We review the method, skills, people, tools, carrying and securing requirements, then agree the appointment and preparation responsibilities.
- Build to the agreed method
The team checks the supplied parts and follows the accepted product instructions. Missing or damaged items are referred to the named contact.
- Check and hand over
Confirm the agreed position and completion checks. Record outstanding items clearly and collect packaging only where included in the plan.
Price and preparation
What we need to quote.
Price depends on the actual product, number of units, complexity, carrying, travel, working time, team and any securing or extras accepted. The product guide and site information help us quote a realistic job. Repeat product programmes and day-rate arrangements can be discussed, but there is no universal assembly time or fixed price per box.
- Exact productsModel references, product links, instructions, options, quantities and carton counts.
- Delivery positionWhere goods are coming from, whether already on site, and any carrying from kerbside or a goods-in area.
- Site and spacePostcode, floors, stairs, lifts, parking, room dimensions, ceiling clearance and available working area.
- Build requirementsAssembly method, tools or product-specific fittings, securing requirements and any separately proposed modifications.
- Readiness and finishExpected stock arrival, all-parts readiness, final positions, sign-off contact and checks required.
- Programme and materialsPreferred dates, repeat volumes, room sequence, packaging to remove or retain and agreed receiving destination for collected material.
Answers before you book
Flat-pack builds questions.
Service scope, preparation and the details that affect the booking.
Can you deliver flat-pack furniture and assemble it?
Yes, where transport and assembly are agreed together. Tell us where the boxes must go and supply the product instructions. A standard two-person kerbside delivery does not automatically include building the contents.
Are you limited to one furniture brand?
No. Send the actual product details and assembly method for review. We prepare around the work accepted rather than claim a manufacturer partnership or blanket competence in every product.
Do I need to provide tools?
Send the instructions and any special tool or supplied fitting requirements before booking. We agree what the team brings and what must be provided with the product or on site.
Can you build garden pergolas?
Yes, we have carried out pergola builds. Each enquiry needs the kit, instructions, site and base information. Anchoring, permissions, weather conditions and any additional skills or equipment are confirmed for the particular project.
What if parts are missing or damaged?
The team should report the issue to the agreed contact and confirm the next step. Work may need to stop or a revisit may be required. Suitable replacement components and any additional attendance need to be arranged rather than improvised.
Can you fix furniture to the wall?
Tell us any securing requirement in the manufacturer's instructions. We must agree the property permission, wall or substrate information, method and suitably skilled people. Essential securing cannot simply be skipped to mark the item complete.
How much working space do you need?
It depends on how the product is built. Some furniture needs room to assemble flat and then stand upright. Send the instructions and room dimensions, clear the area and tell us about ceiling or doorway restrictions.
Will you remove the empty boxes?
We can collect packaging by prior arrangement. Specify the materials and quantity, whether warranty or return packaging must be retained, and the agreed onward destination. Do not assume disposal or recycling is part of assembly.
Do all flat-pack builds need two people?
No. Staffing follows the product method, load, working area and handling requirements. Some work needs more people or equipment. We confirm the appropriate arrangement rather than make two people a universal rule.
How long does assembly take?
We estimate attendance from the product, quantities, access and accepted tasks. A small table and a configured wardrobe are different jobs. Missing parts or site changes can affect the plan, so tell us about them early.
Can you handle regular retailer assembly visits?
Yes. We can discuss product training, delivery runs and recurring assembly work. Share the range, volumes, service area, required finish and recipient arrangements so a workable programme can be agreed.
How quickly can a build team attend?
We confirm attendance against the product, location, skills and availability. Conditional 60-minute UK courier collection can help with suitable urgent parts movements, but it is not an assembly-team arrival guarantee.
