A production part in Harlescott, equipment for an office or stock for a Shrewsbury shop. Synergix arranges same-day courier and road haulage across Shrewsbury and surrounding Shropshire, with onward UK delivery. Send the load, ready time, goods entrance and unloading details. We will help plan the movement.

Your load.
The right vehicle.

Browse the van, rigid, articulated and specialist options, then open a vehicle guide for dimensions, body types and loading advice. You can ask for a particular vehicle or let us work from your load details.

Vehicle illustrations show example bodies. We confirm the actual vehicle, usable space, payload and equipment for your booking. Specialist configurations are subject to suitability and availability.

01 / Same-day & dedicated courier

Shrewsbury courier.
A direct delivery.

A dedicated Shrewsbury courier can connect the agreed collection and delivery points for urgent parts, documents, protected equipment or suitable stock. The town-centre handover and receiving deadline matter as much as the road distance. Give us the full addresses and packed load.

Urgent parts and protected goods

Send the precise goods description, quantity, packaged dimensions and individual and total weights. Protect delicate surfaces, electronics and prototypes; identify upright-only or non-stackable items.

A dedicated movement still requires packaging and restraint suitable for loading and road travel. Agree any named recipient, reference or special handover condition before dispatch.

Stock, print and suitable pallets

Business stock, printing, technical cases and a suitable pallet can all need a courier. The actual aperture, load space, payload and unloading method determine whether the vehicle is suitable.

Heavier freight, larger consignments and specialist unloading may need the haulage arrangement. You can enquire without choosing a lorry size first.

Ready time, vehicle and receiving deadline

A van collection in Shrewsbury may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the actual location, goods and suitable vehicle availability. Call for an estimate for your job. Rigids, artics and specialist equipment need a separate availability check.

Give the actual release time, loading allowance and recipient’s latest acceptance time. A short local journey with difficult receiving can need more planning than a straightforward longer run. We assess the complete movement, including traffic and available working time.

Local collection and onward UK delivery

Town centre, Harlescott, Battlefield, Sundorne, Monkmoor, Abbey Foregate, Belle Vue, Meole Brace and Bicton Heath. Supply the full address, unit and correct goods entrance, with a contact at both ends. The team confirms availability and the collection plan.

The ready time, route and latest receiving time determine whether a same-day movement is achievable. European work also needs goods documents and customs responsibilities agreed. A collection estimate is not a delivery guarantee.

Updates and repeat collections

Our team remains your point of contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the recipient, updates and any signature, photograph or reference requirement when booking.

Scheduled supplier runs, stock transfers and out-of-hours enquiries can also be discussed. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing, vehicle allocation and site access are confirmed for the booking.

02 / General & dedicated haulage

Shrewsbury haulage.
Planned around the load.

For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.

Dedicated pallet transport

Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.

We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.

Full loads, part loads and repeat work

A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.

Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.

Choose the body as well as the lorry size

Box and curtainsider

A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.

Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift

Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.

Temperature-controlled loads

Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.

Articulated and specialist trailers

Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.

Getting it off matters just as much

Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.

When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.

Read our tail-lift and pallet-truck guidance.

Timed deliveries and urgent haulage

A timed industrial collection in Harlescott, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.

Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.

Local work. Different requirements.

Transport shaped
by Shrewsbury.

Shrewsbury combines engine and drivetrain manufacturing, commercial offices and town-centre businesses, with rural and cross-border journeys beyond the town. The named organisations establish local context, not Synergix customer relationships. The transport examples help identify the goods, handling and receiving details needed for an enquiry.

Military and industrial engines

Components, tooling and protected assemblies

Caterpillar’s own Shrewsbury information identifies engine, transmission and drivetrain work for military and other applications. This is verified local activity, not a Synergix contract or clearance.

Supply the actual goods, individual weights, packed dimensions and support or lifting points. Controlled goods, security instructions and special permissions must be declared before acceptance. A complete heavy assembly needs its own handling assessment.

Shrewsbury Business Park

Office equipment and departmental handovers

The official investment body identifies Shrewsbury Business Park as an office location by the town’s wider road connections. Public reception and a usable freight entrance may differ.

For IT equipment, technical cases or print, provide the building, department and authorised recipient. Identify fragile surfaces, orientation and the final handover point, including any lift or handling distance.

Town centre

Retail stock and protected deliveries

An older town-centre address may involve a signed loading point, restricted street or service entrance away from the public shop. Stock and shop fittings can need different vehicles.

Obtain the receiver’s current lawful approach and unloading window. Include thresholds, stairs and final placement. Delivery to an address does not automatically include installation or carrying goods upstairs.

Surrounding Shropshire

Trade, rural and onward Wales enquiries

A collection near Bayston Hill, Bomere Heath or a more rural location needs its own approach and loading details. A Shrewsbury postcode does not prove an unrestricted route.

Send gate widths, turning space, ground conditions and photographs where useful. Agree the unloading method and receiving time for an onward Welsh or UK destination before allocating the vehicle.

Local context: Caterpillar Shrewsbury, Shrewsbury Business Park.

The last mile matters

Routes, loading
& site access.

The A5 and A49 provide wider connections, but the town’s river-loop streets and each rural approach require their own vehicle and loading checks. Obtain current goods-entry instructions from the recipient.

Town-centre loading and restricted streets

Shropshire Council’s current parking advice distinguishes parking restrictions from permitted loading. Loading must be the actual permitted activity, and street signs and time limits still apply.

Do not use the town centre as an assumed through route or rely on historical pedestrian-zone trial hours. Give the lawful loading point, receiving window and required permissions. Check current council parking and loading advice.

Industrial gates and rural approaches

For Harlescott, Battlefield, a business park or surrounding premises, identify the business, unit and goods gate. Confirm forklift/dock provision and the appointment reference.

Check the whole route and operating area for bridges, height, width, weight or turning limits. Use official traffic information and allow for loading, receiving and the driver’s working time.

  6. Updates and repeat workYour preferred contact, delivery evidence and, for regular transport, frequency, expected volumes and seasonal peaks.

What affects the price?

Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.

For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Shrewsbury mileage price that fits every load.

What happens if something changes?

Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.

An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book

Shrewsbury transport
questions answered.

Courier, timing and delivery

How quickly can you collect in Shrewsbury?

A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.

Can you deliver from Shrewsbury elsewhere in the UK today?

It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.

Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?

A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.

Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?

Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.

How will I know the goods have been delivered?

Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.

What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?

Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.

Haulage, vehicles and handling

Do I need a courier or a haulage service?

Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.

Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Shrewsbury?

Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.

Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?

We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.

How do I choose the right van or lorry?

Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.

Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?

Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.

Open LoadCheck

What if the receiving site has no forklift?

Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.

When must I request an electric pump truck?

Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.

Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?

Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.

Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?

We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.

Shrewsbury access and local handovers

Can you unload at a shop inside the river-loop centre?

Only where lawful access and a suitable loading point can be arranged. Give the service entrance, current unloading window and receiving contact. Check the actual signs and permissions. Older traffic trials or visitor parking directions do not establish today’s delivery access.

What details help with a Harlescott engine or component collection?

Send the precise item, supplier, goods gate, release reference, ready time and delivery deadline. Include packed dimensions, individual weights, support points and loading equipment. Identify regulated goods or security conditions before acceptance; manufacturer activity does not imply a Synergix approval.

Price, booking and ongoing work

What affects the price of a Shrewsbury courier or haulage job?

Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.

What information do you need to book?

Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.

Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?

Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.

Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?

No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
