01 / Same-day & dedicated courier

Birmingham Airport courier.
A direct delivery.

An airport road collection starts with the correct facility and confirmed goods release. Send the handler or business, freight reference, packaged load, ready time and final delivery deadline so we can assess a direct road movement.

Time-critical business consignments

Send the packaged dimensions, quantity, individual weights and exact ready time for parts, tools, samples, printed material or boxed stock. We select the smallest suitable vehicle around the goods and deadline.

Fragile finishes, upright-only goods and non-stackable cases need suitable packaging and restraint. Give the named receiver and any reference needed for handover.

Suitable pallets and bulky consignments

A dedicated courier can carry a suitable pallet or bulky item once actual fit, aperture, payload and handling have been checked. Include packaging overhang and the loaded pallet height.

For heavier freight, several pallets or specialist unloading, use the haulage guidance below. You can ask us to assess the job before choosing a van or lorry.

Ready time, vehicle and receiving deadline

A van collection in Birmingham Airport may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the actual location, goods and suitable vehicle availability. Call for an estimate for your job. Rigids, artics and specialist equipment need a separate availability check.

Goods release and handler acceptance determine the workable airport schedule. Confirm both, including any clearance, security or loading arrangements, before relying on a flight time or road ETA.

Local collection and onward UK delivery

A passenger-terminal postcode is not a freight instruction. Identify the cargo building, landside goods entrance and release contact, and agree any security, customs or specialist handling requirements expressly.

The ready time, route and latest receiving time determine whether a same-day movement is achievable. European work also needs goods documents and customs responsibilities agreed. A collection estimate is not a delivery guarantee.

Updates and repeat collections

Our team remains your point of contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the recipient, updates and any signature, photograph or reference requirement when booking.

Scheduled supplier runs, stock transfers and out-of-hours enquiries can also be discussed. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing, vehicle allocation and site access are confirmed for the booking.

02 / General & dedicated haulage

Birmingham Airport haulage.
Planned around the load.

For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.

Dedicated pallet transport

Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.

We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.

Full loads, part loads and repeat work

A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.

Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.

Choose the body as well as the lorry size

Box and curtainsider

A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.

Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift

Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.

Temperature-controlled loads

Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.

Articulated and specialist trailers

Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.

Getting it off matters just as much

Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.

When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.

Read our tail-lift and pallet-truck guidance.

Timed deliveries and urgent haulage

A dedicated cargo load needs confirmed handler release, freight reference, package weights/dimensions and the destination's unloading appointment before the vehicle is dispatched.

Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.

Local work. Different requirements.

Transport shaped
by Birmingham Airport.

Different loads need different plans. These verified local industries and commercial areas help explain the booking details that matter. Named businesses provide local context, not claims of Synergix customers.

Local transport planning

Released air cargo and road freight

IAG Cargo identifies Birmingham's Swissport World Cargo Centre as its station handling point. Released consignments may need onward road transport to the final consignee.

Provide the air waybill or applicable release reference, handler confirmation and package details. Freight arrival does not automatically mean the goods are available to collect.

Local transport planning

Aircraft parts and urgent engineering

Aircraft maintenance and support can need parts, tools or equipment moved urgently. The collection release and exact receiving point are essential to assessing the road leg.

State any aircraft-on-ground urgency alongside the actual deadline. Confirm packaging, paperwork and acceptance rather than assuming a passenger-terminal handover.

Local transport planning

Defence aviation supply chains

A February 2026 Ministry of Defence answer confirms STS Aviation conversion work at Birmingham Airport for the USAF E-7 programme. This supports local defence aviation context.

Any component movement needs its own site instructions and agreed handling scope. Security, controlled-goods or access permissions cannot be assumed from ordinary transport coverage.

Local transport planning

Nearby events and business supplies

The NEC and nearby businesses create separate event and commercial delivery requirements around the airport area. These are different receiving points from the cargo facilities.

For an exhibition, send the event, hall, stand, build or breakdown phase and current vehicle booking. Discuss two-person delivery or event refrigeration if the job needs it.

The last mile matters

Routes, loading
& site access.

The last part of the journey needs the same attention as the main road. Give the precise goods entrance, receiving instructions and vehicle restrictions before dispatch, so we can assess the complete approach and unloading area.

Local transport planning

Correct cargo facility and entrance

Supply the handling agent or receiving business, building and goods entrance. Official airport directions distinguish the Air Cargo Centre approach from the passenger-terminal area.

Confirm the current facility instructions with the release or receiving contact. Do not dispatch against an airport name and flight number alone.

Local transport planning

Release and paperwork before collection

Confirm the goods are released and ready for the agreed road collection. Include the air waybill or other reference and any authorisation the handler requires.

Agree responsibility for clearance, release and cargo handling separately. A flight landing time is not a guaranteed collection-ready time.

Local transport planning

Export receiving and cut-offs

For delivery into a handler, use its current acceptance window and packaging instructions. IAG's station information expressly notes that cut-offs can change.

Send the exact cargo and booking references. Allow time for unloading and acceptance checks, and distinguish arrival at the gate from accepted freight.

Local transport planning

Landside access and the M42/A45

The airport's main road approach uses the M42 and A45, but the final route depends on the freight facility. Current works and traffic can affect the journey.

Airside access, secure-cargo arrangements and specialist handling must be expressly agreed. An ordinary road booking should not imply access to restricted airport areas.

Confirm the last few metres

Describe the gate, turning area, ground, slope, kerb and final placement. Photos help with an awkward entrance. A tail lift lowers freight; it does not move a pallet across gravel or up steps.

A useful enquiry. A clearer quote.

Tell us the job.
We will help plan it.

  1. The two addressesCollection and delivery postcodes, company/unit names, goods entrances and a contact at each end.
  2. What needs movingGoods description, item or pallet count, packaged dimensions, total and individual weights, stackability and photographs where useful.
  3. When it is readyDate, ready time, latest arrival, goods-in closing time and any booked slot or reference. Identify fixed deadlines.
  4. How it will be handledForklift, dock, tail lift, pallet truck, crane or crew at both ends. Include surface, aperture and vehicle-access limits.
  5. Any special requirementFragile finish, temperature, regulated goods, multiple stops, returnable packaging, returns or agreed final placement.
  6. Updates and repeat workYour preferred contact, delivery evidence and, for regular transport, frequency, expected volumes and seasonal peaks.

What affects the price?

Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.

For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Birmingham Airport mileage price that fits every load.

What happens if something changes?

Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.

An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book

Birmingham Airport transport
questions answered.

Courier, timing and delivery

How quickly can you collect in Birmingham Airport?

A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.

Can you deliver from Birmingham Airport elsewhere in the UK today?

It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.

Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?

A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.

Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?

Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.

How will I know the goods have been delivered?

Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.

What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?

Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.

Haulage, vehicles and handling

Do I need a courier or a haulage service?

Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.

Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Birmingham Airport?

Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.

Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?

We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.

How do I choose the right van or lorry?

Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.

Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?

Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.

Open LoadCheck

What if the receiving site has no forklift?

Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.

When must I request an electric pump truck?

Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.

Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?

Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.

Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?

We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.

Birmingham Airport access and local handovers

Can you collect released freight from Birmingham Airport?

We can assess a road collection when the handler, exact facility, release reference and ready time are confirmed. Send packaged dimensions and weights, loading details and the onward receiver's deadline.

Is the passenger-terminal postcode enough for a cargo collection?

No. Provide the handler or business, cargo building, landside goods entrance and release contact. The airport has distinct freight and passenger receiving areas, so the exact collection instructions matter.

Does an airport courier booking include airside access or customs clearance?

Those arrangements must be assessed and expressly agreed. Tell us what is required and who controls the release or receiving process. Do not assume an ordinary road collection includes access to restricted areas or cargo clearance.

Can you deliver export freight to meet a flight cut-off?

We can assess the road movement against the handler's current acceptance deadline. Send the booking and freight references, packaging details and confirmed receiving instructions, allowing time for unloading and acceptance checks.

Can you arrange a delivery to the NEC near Birmingham Airport?

We can assess the separate event movement. Send the event, hall, stand, build or breakdown phase, site contact and current delivery booking. NEC receiving instructions differ from airport cargo instructions.

Price, booking and ongoing work

What affects the price of a Birmingham Airport courier or haulage job?

Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.

What information do you need to book?

Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.

Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?

Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.

Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?

No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
