01 / Same-day & dedicated courier
Truro courier.
A direct delivery.
If a missing component is holding up production, an event is waiting for its equipment or a customer needs stock today, call with the actual deadline. We arrange dedicated collection and delivery between the agreed points, without a parcel-network sorting hub.
Urgent business consignments
Documents, engineering parts, samples, tools, print, boxed stock and IT equipment can all need a dedicated courier. The smallest suitable vehicle depends on the packaged goods, not the label “parcel”. Send the quantity, dimensions and weights.
A server, delicate prototype or finished component needs packaging that protects it during loading and travel. Tell us if it must stay upright, cannot be stacked or needs a named recipient.
Pallets and bulky items
Courier work can include a suitable pallet or bulky consignment. We check the vehicle aperture, usable space, payload and unloading method. A pallet does not automatically fit a van just because it fits on the floor.
For heavier loads, several pallets or specialised unloading, see the haulage guidance. You can enquire without choosing the lorry first.
How quickly can we collect?
A Truro van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call for an estimate for your actual job. A rigid, artic, refrigerated body or specialist handling arrangement needs its own availability check.
Collection speed is only part of the plan. Tell us when the goods will be released, how long loading will take and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. A fabrication collection needs its release contact and handling method confirmed, while a central shop or venue needs the current loading point and receiving window agreed.
Truro collections and onward UK delivery
A Truro collection may involve a Newham unit, a central shop, a western business park or a Chacewater engineering site. Give the company, unit or building, goods entrance, release contact and ready time. A broad postcode or business-district name is not a complete receiving instruction.
For packaged components, tooling, IT equipment, documents or replenishment stock, send dimensions, individual weights, protective packaging and the receiving deadline. Explain value, fragility and any security or handling conditions before acceptance. We assess local transfers and onward UK journeys around the load and authorised handover.
Updates, proof of delivery and repeat work
Our team remains your contact for the movement. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree any named-recipient, signature, photograph or reference requirements when booking.
We also assess scheduled supplier collections, branch transfers, multi-stop work and repeat courier routes. Phones are answered 24/7/365. The vehicle, crew and access at each end are confirmed for the booking.
02 / General & dedicated haulage
Truro haulage.
Planned around the load.
For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.
Dedicated pallet transport
Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.
We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.
Full loads, part loads and repeat work
A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.
Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.
Choose the body as well as the lorry size
Box and curtainsider
A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.
Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift
Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.
Temperature-controlled loads
Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.
Articulated and specialist trailers
Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.
Getting it off matters just as much
Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.
When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.
Timed deliveries and urgent haulage
For fabricated equipment, palletised stock or regular distribution loads in the Truro area, confirm the body type, loaded dimensions, individual weights and loading equipment at both ends. A Newham yard, a Chacewater workshop and a central receiving point need different approaches, unloading arrangements and appointments.
Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.
Local work. Different requirements.
Transport shaped
by Truro.
Truro combines the Newham business district and port, marine craft work, central retail and performance venues. Surrounding engineering sites also have their own goods entrances and loading requirements.
Fabrication and defence supply enquiries
Chacewater engineering and fabricated loads
Metal Surgery is based at Mount Wellington Mine in Chacewater, in the surrounding Truro area. Its current information describes steel fabrication for industrial, marine and defence-related projects. A fabricated part, frame or workshop load needs its actual size, support and handling points specified.
Send loaded dimensions, individual weights, lifting or support points and protective packaging. Explain stacking limits and any security or controlled-goods conditions before acceptance. Confirm the current goods gate, release reference, authorised receiver and loading equipment at both ends. Select the vehicle around the load and operating area.
Marine craft work and commercial port activity
Newham parts and equipment handovers
Working Sail builds, restores and maintains traditional wooden boats at its Newham Road yard. Cornwall Harbours separately describes commercial and project-cargo activity at the Port of Truro. A yard parts delivery and a booked port cargo collection need different contacts, release details and receiving points.
For components, fittings or workshop equipment, give the actual business, landside goods entrance, packaging, dimensions and weights. For port cargo, confirm the operator or agent, goods reference, release status and appointment. Explain loading equipment and carrying distance. Whole-vessel or abnormal-load transport needs its own assessment.
Industrial, trade and regular distribution work
Units across the Newham business district
Newham's business directory identifies trade suppliers, workshops, storage, logistics and other businesses across Newham Road, Lighterage Hill, Heron Way and neighbouring sites. Give the particular company and unit. A district name or visitor entrance does not establish the warehouse receiving point.
Send individual pallet or crate weights, loaded dimensions, overhang and stacking limits. Confirm forklift, dock or other unloading equipment. For regular work, explain quantities, frequency, receiving slots and returns. We can discuss general haulage, retail distribution, warehousing and cross-docking around the actual requirement.
Central retail, hospitality and performances
Stock and equipment for city receiving
Truro's central shops, hospitality premises and venues such as Hall for Cornwall can need stock, display materials or performance equipment. A Boscawen Street address, a Lemon Quay handover and a venue supplier entrance need their own lawful loading and receiving arrangements.
Give the tenant, department or organiser, goods entrance, receiving or setup slot and removal plan. Describe doors, steps, lifts, carrying distance and final positioning. Extra crew and two-person delivery must be agreed separately. Stationary event refrigeration needs its own placement, power, operating and collection agreement.
Local sector context: Metal Surgery's fabrication sectors and Working Sail's Newham yard and Port of Truro operator information and Newham business-district information and Hall for Cornwall venue information. Named organisations provide local context, not claims of Synergix customers.
↑ Back to guide menuThe last mile matters
Routes, loading
& site access.
Confirm the specific goods gate or lawful loading point, suitable vehicle approach and receiving slot. Newham industrial yards, central streets and surrounding fabrication sites need different access and unloading plans.
Newham units and goods entrances
Give the business, unit, road and current goods gate. Newham Road, Lighterage Hill, Heron Way and neighbouring premises contain different receiving points. Confirm entrance height and width, turning room, appointment and the suitable approach for the vehicle.
Office reception, trade counters and storage receiving can be separate. Send individual item or pallet dimensions and weights, and confirm forklift, dock or other equipment at both ends. Describe any restricted yard, slope or final movement that affects unloading. A district directory does not supply site permission.
Port operators and cargo release
Identify the operator or agent, particular facility, goods reference, release status and appointment. Give both road addresses and the authorised contact. Confirm the current landside entrance, vehicle requirements and loading method with the actual operator.
Explain customs, controlled-goods or special handling conditions before acceptance. The port's waterway jurisdiction and harbour-office address do not identify every commercial collection point. Separate a cargo movement from a marine-business parts delivery, and send packaged dimensions and individual weights.
Boscawen Street, Lemon Quay and central loading
For central shops or venues, confirm the current lawful loading point, service entrance and receiving window. Public pedestrian access, car parks and passenger entrances do not automatically suit a delivery van or truck. Give the tenant or organiser and final handling details.
Check Cornwall's current traffic-order resources, signs and temporary arrangements. Older experimental schemes and consultation proposals need their present status confirmed. Check the actual street length and date rather than applying a historical loading window across the city.
Chacewater fabrication and surrounding workshops
Give the actual site and goods gate for a Chacewater or other surrounding engineering collection. Confirm the full postcode, permitted vehicle approach, entrance width and height, turning space and slot. A Truro postal address does not mean the site is in the city centre.
For fabricated frames, machinery or components, send dimensions, individual weights, lifting points and support requirements. Confirm equipment at both ends and any protective packaging or securing conditions. Explain security or controlled-goods requirements before acceptance and name the authorised receiver.
Western businesses and venue handovers
For Threemilestone, Treliske-area businesses or a central venue, name the company, unit, building or department and actual goods entrance. Send the receiving or setup window, release contact and load list. Visitor directions may differ from a supplier route.
Describe doors, steps, lifts, carrying distance and final position. Agree unloading equipment, extra crew and any return collection separately. Check current road and event conditions with the receiver. A larger vehicle does not automatically provide a crew, safe access or an installation service.
Loaded pallets and powered handling
Send each loaded pallet's footprint, overhang and weight. Confirm forklift or dock availability, or request the tail lift and pallet-truck arrangement needed. Describe surface, slope and the final movement from the vehicle to the receiver.
If pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck under Synergix's booking rule. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. This does not replace platform-capacity, footprint, load-centre, ground and access checks.
Confirm the last few metres
Describe the ground, slope, kerb, steps, loading bay and final placement. Photos help with a narrow yard or awkward entrance. A tail lift lowers goods; it does not move a pallet over gravel, up steps or through a doorway.
Truro and surrounding areas
Where is your
collection?
We assess collections and deliveries across Truro and the surrounding area, with onward UK transport. These groups help describe the job. They are coverage areas, not Synergix branch locations or fixed service boundaries.

What affects the price?
Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.
For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Truro mileage price that fits every load.
What happens if something changes?
Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.
An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Truro and the surrounding area
The geographic map shows Truro and the surrounding Cornwall area. Newham's business district and port differ from central retail streets, western business sites and Chacewater-area fabrication enquiries. Give the actual company, unit, operator or venue and current goods instructions. Send both full addresses and the correct goods entrances when enquiring.

Before you book
Truro transport
questions answered.
Courier, timing and delivery
How quickly can you collect in Truro?
A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the exact address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and delivery deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated bodies and specialist equipment need their own positioning and availability check.
Can you deliver from Truro to another part of the UK on the same day?
It may be possible, depending on when the goods are released, loading time, vehicle position, distance, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete job before agreeing the delivery plan.
What can a dedicated courier carry?
Courier work can include documents, parts, samples, print, IT equipment, technical cases, boxed stock and suitable bulky or palletised goods. Give the packaged dimensions, quantities and individual weights so we can assess the vehicle, loading and receiving arrangements.
Will a dedicated courier load stay on the same vehicle?
It normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about extra stops, returns or unusual route requirements so the arrangement is clear before booking.
Can I call at night or at the weekend?
Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the load and confirm a suitable vehicle and plan. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the agreed times.
How will I receive delivery updates and proof of delivery?
Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and evidence you need when booking, including a named recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference.
Haulage, vehicles and unloading
Do I need a courier or a haulage arrangement?
Start with the goods and deadline. An urgent part, technical case or suitable pallet may need a courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat loads may need haulage. Send the load and site details and we will help you choose.
Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Truro?
Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with collection, delivery and a suitable vehicle agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and loading at both ends. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.
Can you discuss full loads, part loads and regular deliveries?
Yes. Full loads, regular haulage and supported part-load arrangements can be discussed. Agree the body, loading, collection window and delivery plan. Part-load availability is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.
How do I choose a van or lorry, and can LoadCheck help?
Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and overhang. Enter packaged dimensions, weights and quantities into LoadCheck for an initial size estimate. Our team confirms actual fit, usable payload, apertures, restraint, equipment, access and availability.
What if the delivery site has no forklift?
Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed crew may be an option, depending on the goods and site. Send item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, ground conditions and final placement. These handling methods solve different problems and must be agreed.
When must I request an electric pump truck?
Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets may also need powered handling. Platform load, footprint, ground and the actual equipment still need checking.
Can you assess a crane or mounted-forklift delivery?
Yes. Send the precise goods, individual weights, dimensions, lifting points or fork access, required placement and photographs of the unloading area. Crane reach and support conditions differ from forklift access. Suitability, equipment and availability are confirmed for the job.
Can you arrange refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?
We can assess both, with the product, required temperature and handover agreed. Refrigerated transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Tell us which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.
Truro access and local handovers
Can you assess fabricated equipment from a Truro-area engineering site?
Yes. Send loaded dimensions, individual weights, lifting or support points, protective packaging and securing needs. Confirm the full site address, goods gate, release reference, authorised receiver and slot. Explain security or controlled-goods conditions before acceptance. The vehicle and loading equipment must suit the actual load and operating area at both ends.
Does a wooden boatyard enquiry mean transporting a whole vessel?
Describe exactly what needs moving. Packaged components, fittings, tooling and equipment have different requirements from a whole boat. Send dimensions, weights, handling points, protective packaging and loading equipment. A whole vessel or abnormal load needs its own transport and route assessment. Name the actual yard and authorised receiver.
What do you need for a Port of Truro cargo collection?
Give the operator or agent, particular facility, goods reference, release status, appointment and authorised contact. Confirm the actual landside goods entrance and loading method. Send onward addresses, dimensions and weights, and explain customs, controlled-goods or special handling conditions before acceptance. A harbour-office address does not identify every cargo handover.
Can you use an older Healthy Streets loading notice to plan today's delivery?
Check the current restriction, signs and receiver's instructions for the street and date. An experimental scheme, archived FAQ or consultation proposal does not establish present access by itself. Confirm a lawful loading point, service entrance, receiving window and suitable vehicle approach. Describe final handling from the vehicle to the premises.
What information helps with equipment for a central Truro performance venue?
Give the venue, event or department, organiser, actual goods entrance, setup and removal slots and complete load list. Confirm unloading equipment, crew, doors, lifts, carrying distance and final positioning. Agree any additional handling or return collection separately. A visitor entrance or ticketing address is not a supplier receiving instruction.
Price, booking and changes
What affects the price of a Truro courier or haulage job?
Vehicle positioning, route distance, body type, deadline, waiting, loading, extra stops, handling equipment and additional labour affect the quote. Send accurate goods and site details. We price the actual arrangement rather than applying one mileage rate to every load.
How do I book, and what happens if the job changes?
Request a quote or call with both addresses, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, quantities, ready time, deadline, contacts and handling at both ends. We confirm the vehicle, plan and price for the booking. Tell us promptly about added goods, delayed release or a changed slot so we can reassess.
Can you discuss warehousing, retail distribution or two-person delivery?
Yes. Send the usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person handling can be considered within a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.
