Your load.
The right vehicle.

Browse the van, rigid, articulated and specialist options, then open a vehicle guide for dimensions, body types and loading advice. You can ask for a particular vehicle or let us work from your load details.

Vehicle illustrations show example bodies. We confirm the actual vehicle, usable space, payload and equipment for your booking. Specialist configurations are subject to suitability and availability.

01 / Same-day & dedicated courier

St Austell courier.
A direct delivery.

If a missing component is holding up production, an event is waiting for its equipment or a customer needs stock today, call with the actual deadline. We arrange dedicated collection and delivery between the agreed points, without a parcel-network sorting hub.

Urgent business consignments

Documents, engineering parts, samples, tools, print, boxed stock and IT equipment can all need a dedicated courier. The smallest suitable vehicle depends on the packaged goods, not the label “parcel”. Send the quantity, dimensions and weights.

A server, delicate prototype or finished component needs packaging that protects it during loading and travel. Tell us if it must stay upright, cannot be stacked or needs a named recipient.

Pallets and bulky items

Courier work can include a suitable pallet or bulky consignment. We check the vehicle aperture, usable space, payload and unloading method. A pallet does not automatically fit a van just because it fits on the floor.

For heavier loads, several pallets or specialised unloading, see the haulage guidance. You can enquire without choosing the lorry first.

How quickly can we collect?

A St Austell van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call for an estimate for your actual job. A rigid, artic, refrigerated body or specialist handling arrangement needs its own availability check.

Collection speed is only part of the plan. Tell us when the goods will be released, how long loading will take and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. A clay-country plant spare needs its site and release contact confirmed, while brewery stock or venue equipment needs the receiving gate, unloading method and slot agreed.

St Austell collections and onward UK delivery

A St Austell collection may involve a Holmbush unit, a brewery department, a clay-country site or a nearby visitor venue. Give the business, unit or facility, actual goods entrance, release contact and ready time. A village, attraction or broad industrial address does not identify the final handover.

For packaged plant spares, tooling, equipment, documents or replenishment stock, send dimensions, individual weights, protective packaging and the receiving deadline. Explain fragility, value and any security, temperature or handling conditions before acceptance. We assess local transfers and onward UK journeys around the load and authorised receiver.

Updates, proof of delivery and repeat work

Our team remains your contact for the movement. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree any named-recipient, signature, photograph or reference requirements when booking.

We also assess scheduled supplier collections, branch transfers, multi-stop work and repeat courier routes. Phones are answered 24/7/365. The vehicle, crew and access at each end are confirmed for the booking.

02 / General & dedicated haulage

St Austell haulage.
Planned around the load.

For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.

Dedicated pallet transport

Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.

We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.

Full loads, part loads and repeat work

A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.

Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.

Choose the body as well as the lorry size

Box and curtainsider

A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.

Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift

Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.

Temperature-controlled loads

Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.

Articulated and specialist trailers

Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.

Getting it off matters just as much

Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.

When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.

Read our tail-lift and pallet-truck guidance.

Timed deliveries and urgent haulage

For machinery components, palletised stock or regular distribution around St Austell, confirm body type, loaded dimensions, individual weights and loading equipment at both ends. A clay-country yard, a brewery site and central retail receiving need different approaches and appointments. Describe the actual packaged load and handling requirement.

Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.

Local work. Different requirements.

Transport shaped
by St Austell.

St Austell combines brewing, trade and commercial units with the mineral-working area to its north. Nearby visitor attractions, retail premises and coastal venues bring further equipment, stock and receiving requirements.

Clay-country operations and industrial equipment

Parts for surrounding working sites

Cornwall Council identifies the china-clay area north of St Austell as important for mineral working, with guidance covering continued working and restoration. A plant spare, pump, packaged component or workshop load needs a particular operator and receiving site, rather than a general clay-country destination.

Give the company, facility, goods gate, release reference and authorised contact. Send loaded dimensions, individual weights, handling points and protective packaging. Confirm the appointment and loading equipment. Explain restricted-site or special-goods conditions before acceptance. Packaged equipment and bulk mineral movements need different transport arrangements.

Brewing, equipment and distribution

St Austell production and stock handovers

St Austell Brewery's current information confirms brewing at its St Austell site and a Small Batch Brewery, separately from Hare Brewery near Bristol. Production parts, packaged stock and hospitality supplies need the correct department and goods receiving point. A visitor-tour booking is not a commercial delivery slot.

Send the load list, dimensions, individual weights, packaging and any stacking or temperature requirements. Confirm the actual site, release reference, receiving appointment and equipment at both ends. For regular movements, explain quantities, frequency, returns and stock handling. Agree any additional handling separately.

Trade, workshop and commercial units

Holmbush and surrounding business receiving

Holmbush-area units and other commercial addresses around St Austell serve different companies, trade counters and workshop receiving points. Give the actual business and unit, current goods entrance and release contact. An estate name or office postcode alone does not establish the unload point.

Send each pallet or crate's footprint, height, overhang and weight. Confirm forklift, dock or other unloading equipment and yard access. For regular loads, explain frequency, receiving slots and returns. We can discuss general haulage, retail distribution, warehousing and cross-docking around the actual requirement.

Retail, attractions and coastal venues

Stock and equipment for organised receiving

White River Place is a central shopping destination, while the Eden Project is at Bodelva outside the town. Coastal businesses around Charlestown and Carlyon Bay have their own receiving arrangements. A public entrance, car park or visitor postcode needs a precise supplier handover instruction.

Give the tenant, venue or department, organiser, goods gate and receiving or setup slot. Describe doors, steps, lifts, carrying distance and final positioning. Agree extra crew, two-person delivery and removals separately. Stationary event refrigeration needs its own placement, power, operating and collection arrangements.

Local sector context: Council clay-country industrial context and Current St Austell Brewery sites and White River Place information and Eden Project location and approach. Named organisations provide local context, not claims of Synergix customers.

The last mile matters

Routes, loading
& site access.

Confirm the specific goods gate, lawful loading point and receiving window. The opened A30 link, clay-country facilities, brewery departments, town-centre receiving and coastal venues each need the appropriate current approach.

A30 link and actual site approach

Cornwall Council confirms the St Austell to A30 link road opened to traffic in May 2025, connecting the A391 at Stenalees with the Victoria side of the A30. Use its official route information when describing a northern approach.

Confirm the appropriate final route, full postcode and goods gate with the receiver. Older construction forecasts or temporary arrangements do not establish today's restrictions. Check current signs, roadworks and the vehicle's suitability. A major-road connection does not guarantee access to every village lane or industrial yard.

Clay-country gates and equipment

For Bugle, Roche, Stenalees, Nanpean or another surrounding site, give the actual operator, facility and receiving department. Confirm the goods gate, vehicle approach, appointment and release reference. A mineral-working area is not one shared warehouse address.

Send dimensions, weights, support or lifting points and securing requirements. Confirm the loading equipment at both ends and explain any restricted-site or controlled-goods conditions. Quarry, processing, storage and restoration sites can have different procedures. Agree the actual load and handover before dispatch.

Brewery production and visitor receiving

Confirm the actual brewery, warehouse or department and goods entrance for production parts or stock. St Austell and Hare Brewery are separate sites. Give the release contact, order reference, receiving slot and load details rather than relying on a group company name.

Tour directions and visitor opening times are not supplier instructions. Confirm loading equipment, packaged dimensions, weights and any stacking or temperature requirements. Explain frequency and returns for regular distribution. A production-site handover and a hospitality-premises delivery require different access and final handling.

White River Place and central streets

For Fore Street, Trinity Street, Aylmer Square or a White River Place tenant, confirm the lawful loading point, current service entrance and receiving window. The centre's public car-park directions do not establish suitability for a van or truck goods delivery.

Give the tenant, authorised receiver, load list and final handling requirements. Check Cornwall's current traffic-order resources, signs and temporary arrangements for the particular street and date. Describe lifts, doors, carrying distance, steps and any extra crew requested.

Bodelva and coastal venue handovers

Eden's current directions warn that some navigation systems choose narrow roads, including the approach from St Blazey via Cornhill Road. Confirm the current supplier route and goods gate with the actual department or organiser. Visitor parking and tickets serve different purposes.

For Charlestown, Carlyon Bay, Pentewan or surrounding venues, give the full goods address, lawful loading point and suitable approach. Confirm setup and removal slots, unloading equipment and carrying distance. Agree additional crew and final positioning separately. Coastal or attraction names do not identify one common receiving gate.

Loaded pallets and powered handling

Send each loaded pallet's footprint, overhang and weight. Confirm forklift or dock availability, or request the tail lift and pallet-truck arrangement needed. Describe the surface, slope and final movement from the vehicle to the receiver.

If pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck under Synergix's booking rule. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. This does not replace platform-capacity, footprint, load-centre, ground and access checks.

Confirm the last few metres

Describe the ground, slope, kerb, steps, loading bay and final placement. Photos help with a narrow yard or awkward entrance. A tail lift lowers goods; it does not move a pallet over gravel, up steps or through a doorway.

Tell us the job.
We will help plan it.

  1. The two addressesCollection and delivery postcodes, company/unit names, goods entrances and a contact at each end.
  2. What needs movingGoods description, item or pallet count, packaged dimensions, total and individual weights, stackability and photographs where useful.
  3. When it is readyDate, ready time, latest arrival, goods-in closing time and any booked slot or reference. Identify fixed deadlines.
  4. How it will be handledForklift, dock, tail lift, pallet truck, crane or crew at both ends. Include surface, aperture and vehicle-access limits.
  5. Any special requirementFragile finish, temperature, regulated goods, multiple stops, returnable packaging, returns or agreed final placement.
  6. Updates and repeat workYour preferred contact, delivery evidence and, for regular transport, frequency, expected volumes and seasonal peaks.

What affects the price?

Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.

For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single St Austell mileage price that fits every load.

What happens if something changes?

Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.

An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book

St Austell transport
questions answered.

Courier, timing and delivery

How quickly can you collect in St Austell?

A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the exact address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and delivery deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated bodies and specialist equipment need their own positioning and availability check.

Can you deliver from St Austell to another part of the UK on the same day?

It may be possible, depending on when the goods are released, loading time, vehicle position, distance, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete job before agreeing the delivery plan.

What can a dedicated courier carry?

Courier work can include documents, parts, samples, print, IT equipment, technical cases, boxed stock and suitable bulky or palletised goods. Give the packaged dimensions, quantities and individual weights so we can assess the vehicle, loading and receiving arrangements.

Will a dedicated courier load stay on the same vehicle?

It normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about extra stops, returns or unusual route requirements so the arrangement is clear before booking.

Can I call at night or at the weekend?

Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the load and confirm a suitable vehicle and plan. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the agreed times.

How will I receive delivery updates and proof of delivery?

Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and evidence you need when booking, including a named recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference.

Haulage, vehicles and unloading

Do I need a courier or a haulage arrangement?

Start with the goods and deadline. An urgent part, technical case or suitable pallet may need a courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat loads may need haulage. Send the load and site details and we will help you choose.

Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in St Austell?

Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with collection, delivery and a suitable vehicle agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and loading at both ends. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.

Can you discuss full loads, part loads and regular deliveries?

Yes. Full loads, regular haulage and supported part-load arrangements can be discussed. Agree the body, loading, collection window and delivery plan. Part-load availability is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.

How do I choose a van or lorry, and can LoadCheck help?

Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and overhang. Enter packaged dimensions, weights and quantities into LoadCheck for an initial size estimate. Our team confirms actual fit, usable payload, apertures, restraint, equipment, access and availability.

What if the delivery site has no forklift?

Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed crew may be an option, depending on the goods and site. Send item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, ground conditions and final placement. These handling methods solve different problems and must be agreed.

When must I request an electric pump truck?

Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets may also need powered handling. Platform load, footprint, ground and the actual equipment still need checking.

Can you assess a crane or mounted-forklift delivery?

Yes. Send the precise goods, individual weights, dimensions, lifting points or fork access, required placement and photographs of the unloading area. Crane reach and support conditions differ from forklift access. Suitability, equipment and availability are confirmed for the job.

Can you arrange refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?

We can assess both, with the product, required temperature and handover agreed. Refrigerated transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Tell us which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.

St Austell access and local handovers

What details help with a clay-country plant spare?

Give the operator, particular facility, goods gate, authorised contact, release reference and ready time. Send dimensions, individual weights, protective packaging and handling or support points. Confirm loading equipment and the receiving slot at both ends. Explain restricted-site or special-goods requirements before acceptance.

Does the St Austell to A30 link road remove the need to check village or yard access?

The council confirms the link road is open, but the final approach still needs checking for the chosen vehicle. Give both full addresses and actual goods gates. Confirm current signs, roadworks, entrance clearance and turning room. Older project forecasts or temporary arrangements do not establish present access.

Can brewery-tour directions be used as a stock delivery instruction?

Confirm the actual goods entrance, department and receiving slot with the business. Tour access and visitor hours serve a different purpose. Name the correct brewery or warehouse, give the release reference and send the load list, dimensions, weights and any stacking or temperature requirements. Confirm unloading equipment.

What should an equipment delivery to Eden at Bodelva include?

Give the department or organiser, current supplier route and goods gate, receiving or setup slot and removal plan. Send dimensions, weights and loading equipment. Explain carrying distance, doors, steps and final positioning. Eden warns some navigation routes use narrow roads, so confirm the appropriate approach with the receiver.

Is the White River Place car park the receiving point for shop stock?

Ask the tenant or centre for the current service entrance, lawful loading point and receiving window. Public car-park directions are not goods instructions. Give the load details and explain lifts, doors, carrying distance, unloading equipment and any additional crew. Confirm the authorised receiver before collection.

Price, booking and changes

What affects the price of a St Austell courier or haulage job?

Vehicle positioning, route distance, body type, deadline, waiting, loading, extra stops, handling equipment and additional labour affect the quote. Send accurate goods and site details. We price the actual arrangement rather than applying one mileage rate to every load.

How do I book, and what happens if the job changes?

Request a quote or call with both addresses, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, quantities, ready time, deadline, contacts and handling at both ends. We confirm the vehicle, plan and price for the booking. Tell us promptly about added goods, delayed release or a changed slot so we can reassess.

Can you discuss warehousing, retail distribution or two-person delivery?

Yes. Send the usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person handling can be considered within a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.
