01 / Same-day & dedicated courier
Frome courier.
A direct delivery.
If a missing component is holding up production, an event is waiting for its equipment or a customer needs stock today, call with the actual deadline. We arrange dedicated collection and delivery between the agreed points, without a parcel-network sorting hub.
Urgent business consignments
Documents, engineering parts, samples, tools, print, boxed stock and IT equipment can all need a dedicated courier. The smallest suitable vehicle depends on the packaged goods, not the label “parcel”. Send the quantity, dimensions and weights.
A server, delicate prototype or finished component needs packaging that protects it during loading and travel. Tell us if it must stay upright, cannot be stacked or needs a named recipient.
Pallets and bulky items
Courier work can include a suitable pallet or bulky consignment. We check the vehicle aperture, usable space, payload and unloading method. A pallet does not automatically fit a van just because it fits on the floor.
For heavier loads, several pallets or specialised unloading, see the haulage guidance. You can enquire without choosing the lorry first.
How quickly can we collect?
A Frome van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call for an estimate for your actual job. A rigid, artic, refrigerated body or specialist handling arrangement needs its own availability check.
Collection speed is only part of the plan. Tell us when the goods will be released, how long loading will take and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. An urgent prototype component or print order may be waiting for final checks, packing or release paperwork. Confirm when it can actually leave and when the receiver can accept it. Market setup arrangements, a timed street restriction and loading time can affect the last part of the movement, so readiness and the final handover matter as much as urgency.
Frome collections and onward UK delivery
A component for a Commerce Park engineering team, a collection from Handlemaker Road or urgent print from Grove Lane needs the actual business and goods entrance. Give the item or order reference, packaged dimensions, weight and protection, with a named person who can release or receive it.
For a town-centre trader, event or residential street, explain the lawful unloading point and carrying route. Market vehicle arrangements and timed School Streets restrictions need checking for the delivery date. A Beckington enquiry also needs its own full address and receiving point; the village is separate from Frome town.
Updates, proof of delivery and repeat work
Our team remains your contact for the movement. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree any named-recipient, signature, photograph or reference requirements when booking.
We also assess scheduled supplier collections, branch transfers, multi-stop work and repeat courier routes. Phones are answered 24/7/365. The vehicle, crew and access at each end are confirmed for the booking.
02 / General & dedicated haulage
Frome haulage.
Planned around the load.
For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.
Dedicated pallet transport
Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.
We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.
Full loads, part loads and repeat work
A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.
Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.
Choose the body as well as the lorry size
Box and curtainsider
A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.
Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift
Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.
Temperature-controlled loads
Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.
Articulated and specialist trailers
Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.
Getting it off matters just as much
Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.
When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.
Timed deliveries and urgent haulage
Palletised print, protected engineering assemblies, packaging and regular supplier loads need their actual loaded footprints, individual weights and handling requirements checked. Give the specific Marston or Commerce Park premises, yard approach and rear or side loading arrangement. Confirm a forklift, dock or suitable agreed tail lift and pallet truck at both ends. Explain delicate finishes, lifting points, stackability and final placement before the vehicle body and equipment are agreed.
Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.
Local work. Different requirements.
Transport shaped
by Frome.
Frome has current aerospace development, engineering premises and specialist map printing, alongside independent retail and markets. Defence systems engineering in nearby Beckington adds a separate receiving context. These activities need different goods descriptions, protection and handover arrangements, and named organisations are not claims of Synergix customers.
Aerospace development and engineering
Protected parts for the correct team
Certo Aerospace identifies UAV development for defence and civil roles with a current Commerce Park address in Frome. SA Manufacturing identifies a separate Frome site on Handlemaker Road and lists machining, sheet-metal and assembly capabilities across its business. An illustrative supplier movement might involve a protected component, tooling or a packaged assembly with its exact reference supplied.
Describe orientation, delicate surfaces, protrusions, individual weights and lifting points before dispatch. Confirm crates or supports where needed, and identify batteries, hazardous materials or regulated contents explicitly for assessment. The recipient's aerospace or defence activity does not establish Synergix clearance, product acceptance or unrestricted entry.
Map printing and finishing
Keep print protected and orders identifiable
Dennis Maps' current information identifies map printing and finishing at Grove Lane, Frome, including large-format and folded products. An illustrative collection might be finished cartons, palletised print or a time-critical order for a distributor or event. Give the exact order, release time and receiving contact.
State whether the print is boxed, wrapped on a pallet or packed as larger sheets, with dimensions and individual weights. Keep moisture protection, stackability and edge damage in the handling plan. A flat sheet or poster order needs the packaged shape assessed rather than being treated as an ordinary loose parcel.
Defence engineering beyond Frome town
Beckington office and supplier handovers
SEA's current site information identifies its Beckington office as a base for complex-systems teams working on maritime defence and land and littoral commitments. Beckington is a nearby village, separate from Frome town. SEA identifies its production facility in Barnstaple, so a Beckington contact must not be treated as evidence of manufacturing at the same address.
For an ordinary office or supplier-equipment delivery, send the exact premises, goods description, reference, appointment and named receiver. Confirm the actual handover and approach with the recipient. A headquarters address or visitor access description does not identify a goods door or authorise transport of a particular regulated item.
Independent retail and markets
Stock around the correct market arrangement
The Frome Independent brings designers, makers, food producers and vintage traders into the town centre. The weekly Wednesday and Saturday markets are a separate arrangement in Market Yard and the town centre. A stock or equipment delivery needs the particular trader, market date, receiving position and agreed setup or replenishment time.
The Independent's trader vehicle rules require a market-specific pass and express consent for access at stated times, with loading and unloading rather than waiting on site. Agree a courier handover with the organiser before dispatch. For food or drinks, specify required carriage conditions and distinguish transport from stationary event refrigeration.
Local sector context: Certo Aerospace's current Frome development and Dennis Maps' current Frome printing facility and SEA's Beckington and production-site information and The Frome Independent's vehicle and trader conditions. Named organisations provide local context, not claims of Synergix customers.

Routes, loading
& site access.
The A361 provides wider connections around Frome, but Marston premises, Commerce Park, the town centre and nearby villages need their own final approach checked. Market access and timed School Streets restrictions are specific arrangements. A general delivery address does not establish permission to enter a restricted street or a private receiving area.
Marston premises and Commerce Park
For Grove Lane, Handlemaker Road, Manor Furlong or a Commerce Park collection, give the business, unit and exact goods entrance. Ask the recipient for current approach and yard instructions. A postcode does not show where the selected vehicle can turn, wait or open its rear doors.
Confirm loading space and equipment at both ends, with loaded footprints, weights and protection supplied. Explain whether the goods are collected from production, a warehouse or an office reception. A curtainsider's side-loading space, a tail lift's operating area and a small van handover require different arrangements.
Town-centre markets and shop receiving
For The Frome Independent, use the named trader and the organiser's current market-day vehicle arrangement. A trader pass is specific to that market, and access at stated times needs the event team's consent. It does not automatically authorise a separately booked courier to enter or remain at the stall.
For Market Yard, Catherine Hill, Stony Street or another shop address, agree a lawful unloading position and the route to the door. Describe gradients, steps, narrow entrances and any carrying or two-person handling. Check current signs, event notices and loading restrictions rather than relying on historic town-centre access exemptions.
Permanent School Streets and timed approaches
At the 14 October 2026 check, the Town Council's current page states that the Safer School Streets scheme has been made permanent. It retains timed closures and traffic-calming arrangements around Oakfield, Trinity and Critchill schools and on Park Road near Avanti Park School. Check the current signs and proposed approach for a nearby delivery.
Choose a receiving time and lawful route that work for the particular address and vehicle. Do not assume an ordinary courier qualifies for an exemption, or use an older trial description as the current full access rules. Tell us about bollards, planters, narrow turns and any alternative goods entrance before booking.
Beckington and rural receiving points
A Beckington, Standerwick, Nunney, Rode or other outlying collection needs the full property name, postcode, gate and receiving contact. Keep the village or rural approach distinct from a Frome town collection when estimating the complete movement. A Beckington defence-office address does not identify a production yard or general delivery facility.
Describe narrow lanes, bends, overhead obstructions, turning space and the unloading surface. Confirm where the goods will go after unloading. A tail lift needs suitable operating space and firm ground, and does not solve steps, loose gravel or a long carrying route. Photos can help explain an awkward gate or final position.
Confirm the last few metres
Describe the ground, slope, kerb, steps, loading bay and final placement. Photos help with a narrow yard or awkward entrance. A tail lift lowers goods; it does not move a pallet over gravel, up steps or through a doorway.
Frome and surrounding areas
Where is your
collection?
We assess collections and deliveries across Frome and the surrounding area, with onward UK transport. These groups help describe the job. They are coverage areas, not Synergix branch locations or fixed service boundaries.
Frome town and retail districts
Frome centre, Market Yard, Market Place, Catherine Hill, Stony Street, Keyford, Fromefield, Stonebridge, Welshmill and surrounding town addresses.
Give the particular business or trader, goods entrance and lawful unloading point, with current event and timed-street arrangements checked. These are coverage examples, not Synergix premises.
Production and business premises
Marston Trading Estate, Grove Lane, Handlemaker Road, Manor Furlong, Frome Business Park and Commerce Park.
Use the actual company, unit and goods door. Loading method, yard approach, appointment and final placement determine the arrangement.
Nearby Somerset and onward connections
Beckington, Standerwick, Rode, Nunney, Mells, Buckland Dinham and surrounding communities, with onward UK transport assessed.
Beckington and other villages are separate from Frome town. Westbury, Warminster and Bath destinations need their own exact receiving details and route checks.

What affects the price?
Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.
For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Frome mileage price that fits every load.
What happens if something changes?
Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.
An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

coverage in Frome.
Frome and the surrounding area
This geographic map shows Frome in Somerset, the town and surrounding approaches. Marston and Commerce Park premises need their own exact receiving addresses, and Beckington and other villages are separate destinations. The map gives area orientation and does not identify a Synergix branch, approved HGV route or permission to enter a restricted street or private site. Send both full addresses and the correct goods entrances when enquiring.
This is an area map. It does not mark a Synergix office, establish a fixed service boundary or provide HGV routing. Our team confirms collection, delivery and access for the job.

Before you book
Frome transport
questions answered.
Courier, timing and delivery
How quickly can you collect in Frome?
A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the exact address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and delivery deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated bodies and specialist equipment need their own positioning and availability check.
Can you deliver from Frome to another part of the UK on the same day?
It may be possible, depending on when the goods are released, loading time, vehicle position, distance, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete job before agreeing the delivery plan.
What can a dedicated courier carry?
Courier work can include documents, parts, samples, print, IT equipment, technical cases, boxed stock and suitable bulky or palletised goods. Give the packaged dimensions, quantities and individual weights so we can assess the vehicle, loading and receiving arrangements.
Will a dedicated courier load stay on the same vehicle?
It normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about extra stops, returns or unusual route requirements so the arrangement is clear before booking.
Can I call at night or at the weekend?
Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the load and confirm a suitable vehicle and plan. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the agreed times.
How will I receive delivery updates and proof of delivery?
Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and evidence you need when booking, including a named recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference.
Haulage, vehicles and unloading
Do I need a courier or a haulage arrangement?
Start with the goods and deadline. An urgent part, technical case or suitable pallet may need a courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat loads may need haulage. Send the load and site details and we will help you choose.
Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Frome?
Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with collection, delivery and a suitable vehicle agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and loading at both ends. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.
Can you discuss full loads, part loads and regular deliveries?
Yes. Full loads, regular haulage and supported part-load arrangements can be discussed. Agree the body, loading, collection window and delivery plan. Part-load availability is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.
How do I choose a van or lorry, and can LoadCheck help?
Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and overhang. Enter packaged dimensions, weights and quantities into LoadCheck for an initial size estimate. Our team confirms actual fit, usable payload, apertures, restraint, equipment, access and availability.
What if the delivery site has no forklift?
Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed crew may be an option, depending on the goods and site. Send item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, ground conditions and final placement. These handling methods solve different problems and must be agreed.
When must I request an electric pump truck?
Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets may also need powered handling. Platform load, footprint, ground and the actual equipment still need checking.
Can you assess a crane or mounted-forklift delivery?
Yes. Send the precise goods, individual weights, dimensions, lifting points or fork access, required placement and photographs of the unloading area. Crane reach and support conditions differ from forklift access. Suitability, equipment and availability are confirmed for the job.
Can you arrange refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?
We can assess both, with the product, required temperature and handover agreed. Refrigerated transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Tell us which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.
Frome access and local handovers
How quickly can you arrange a courier collection in Frome?
Send the full collection and delivery addresses, packaged goods, actual ready time and required deadline. We assess vehicle availability, positioning, loading and the receiving arrangement before agreeing timings. A prototype awaiting release or a print order still being packed can change the plan. Call for an urgent requirement so the complete movement can be checked.
What do you need for an engineering collection from Commerce Park or Marston?
Give the company, unit and goods entrance, item reference, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights and ready time. Describe delicate faces, protrusions, orientation and any lifting points. Confirm suitable handling at both ends and the yard approach. State batteries, hazardous materials or regulated contents explicitly so the actual consignment can be assessed.
How should I prepare a print or map order for collection?
Tell us whether it is packed in cartons, wrapped on pallets or protected as larger sheets, with dimensions, weights, stackability and moisture protection. Confirm when the order can actually be released and the receiver's latest acceptance time. A larger flat print package needs its shape and handling checked, with a suitable loading and unloading arrangement.
Can you deliver stock to The Frome Independent?
We can assess a handover agreed with the trader and market organiser. Give the date, receiving point, setup or delivery time and lawful unloading arrangement. The organiser's vehicle rules require market-specific passes and consent for access at stated times. A trader's permission does not automatically cover a separately booked courier, so confirm that arrangement before dispatch and explain any carrying needed.
Can a courier use a road affected by Frome's School Streets scheme?
Plan the specific address, receiving time and lawful approach before booking. The current council page identifies permanent timed closures around the participating schools and Park Road. Check current signs and rules for the intended journey. An ordinary goods delivery is not automatically an exempt journey, and older trial material should not be treated as the current complete access rules.
Can you assess a delivery to a Beckington engineering office?
Yes, send the exact business and receiving address, goods description, reference, appointment and named contact. Confirm the handover point and current approach with the recipient. Beckington is a separate village and an office address does not establish a manufacturing yard, suitable unloading equipment or acceptance of a particular regulated consignment.
Price, booking and changes
What affects the price of a Frome courier or haulage job?
Vehicle positioning, route distance, body type, deadline, waiting, loading, extra stops, handling equipment and additional labour affect the quote. Send accurate goods and site details. We price the actual arrangement rather than applying one mileage rate to every load.
How do I book, and what happens if the job changes?
Request a quote or call with both addresses, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, quantities, ready time, deadline, contacts and handling at both ends. We confirm the vehicle, plan and price for the booking. Tell us promptly about added goods, delayed release or a changed slot so we can reassess.
Can you discuss warehousing, retail distribution or two-person delivery?
Yes. Send the usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person handling can be considered within a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.

What needs moving
in Frome?
Send the two postcodes, load details and deadline. Our team will help you choose the service, vehicle and loading arrangements.
