Courier work can include a suitable pallet or bulky consignment. We check the vehicle aperture, usable space, payload and unloading method. A pallet does not automatically fit a van just because it fits on the floor.

For an urgent spare, give its release time and packed size. For stock, send individual pallet weights, footprints and stacking limits. State whether the product needs ambient, chilled or another controlled condition, rather than assuming every food or drink load uses the same body.

A smaller vehicle may suit access, but it still needs enough space and payload for the packaged goods. Agree a safe handover point and who supplies handling equipment. A tail lift does not move pallets over gravel or up steps.

Great Britain and Ireland movements

For a Great Britain destination, allow for a confirmed freight crossing, check-in and onward driving as well as collection. Give the final delivery deadline, load description and receiving hours before booking.

Goods information and responsibilities depend on direction and eligibility. HMRC’s simplified inbound processes are conditional. Ireland destinations or transit require their own assessment. Any customs-clearance provision must be separately confirmed.

A composites supplier, electronics workshop or protected workplace may need an appointment, identification and an authorised goods-in contact. Obtain the current instructions from the receiving organisation before dispatch.
