Larne collections • UK delivery

Larne
courier & haulage.

An urgent production part, a booked pallet collection or stock moving across the Irish Sea. Synergix arranges same-day courier and general haulage for Larne and the surrounding County Antrim area. Send the goods, ready time, receiving deadline and loading arrangements so we can assess the vehicle and complete journey.

Your load.
The right vehicle.

Browse the van, rigid, articulated and specialist options, then open a vehicle guide for dimensions, body types and loading advice. You can ask for a particular vehicle or let us work from your load details.

Vehicle illustrations show example bodies. We confirm the actual vehicle, usable space, payload and equipment for your booking. Specialist configurations are subject to suitability and availability.

01 / Same-day & dedicated courier

Larne courier.
A direct delivery.

If a missing component is holding up production, an event is waiting for its equipment or a customer needs stock today, call with the actual deadline. We arrange dedicated collection and delivery between the agreed points, without a parcel-network sorting hub.

Urgent business consignments

Documents, engineering parts, samples, tools, print, boxed stock and IT equipment can all need a dedicated courier. The smallest suitable vehicle depends on the packaged goods, not the label “parcel”. Send the quantity, dimensions and weights.

A server, delicate prototype or finished component needs packaging that protects it during loading and travel. Tell us if it must stay upright, cannot be stacked or needs a named recipient.

Pallets and bulky items

Courier work can include a suitable pallet or bulky consignment. We check the vehicle aperture, usable space, payload and unloading method. A pallet does not automatically fit a van just because it fits on the floor.

For heavier loads, several pallets or specialised unloading, see the haulage guidance. You can enquire without choosing the lorry first.

How quickly can we collect?

Call with the exact collection address, ready time and delivery deadline. We check local vehicle availability and the complete journey before agreeing a collection estimate. Lorries, refrigerated bodies and specialist equipment need their own positioning check. A Great Britain movement also depends on the booked crossing and goods requirements.

Collection speed is only part of the plan. Tell us when the goods will be released, how long loading will take and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. A part needed before an Old Glenarm Road production shift ends has a different deadline from a consignment that must catch a booked freight sailing. Give the receiver's actual acceptance time, rather than only a preferred collection time.

Larne collections and onward UK delivery

Larne's manufacturing premises, Willowbank business units and town-centre businesses have different handover needs. A boxed electrical component can need a dedicated van, while a large assembly or several loaded pallets may need haulage and separate handling equipment.

For Larne, Millbrook, Glynn, Magheramorne or the surrounding villages, provide the business or unit name, goods entrance and a person who can release or receive the goods. If the journey crosses to Great Britain, give the complete destination and goods details before timing is agreed. A local collection estimate is not a promise of arrival across the Irish Sea.

Updates, proof of delivery and repeat work

Our team remains your contact for the movement. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree any named-recipient, signature, photograph or reference requirements when booking.

We also assess scheduled supplier collections, branch transfers, multi-stop work and repeat courier routes. Phones are answered 24/7/365. The vehicle, crew and access at each end are confirmed for the booking.

02 / General & dedicated haulage

Larne haulage.
Planned around the load.

For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.

Dedicated pallet transport

Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.

We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.

Full loads, part loads and repeat work

A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.

Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.

Choose the body as well as the lorry size

Box and curtainsider

A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.

Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift

Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.

Temperature-controlled loads

Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.

Articulated and specialist trailers

Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.

Getting it off matters just as much

Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.

When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.

Read our tail-lift and pallet-truck guidance.

Timed deliveries and urgent haulage

A generator-related assembly, a booked factory collection at Millbrook or stock arriving through Larne requires a clear release and receiving plan. Send the individual weights, loading method, unit or gate, booking reference and a contact who can authorise the handover. A harbour address alone is not permission to collect from a terminal.

Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.

Local work. Different requirements.

Transport shaped
by Larne.

Larne combines power-generation manufacturing, medical production, photonics businesses and a working freight port. These examples explain the details needed to plan a movement. They are not accounts of Synergix contracts with the organisations named.

Old Glenarm Road

Power-generation manufacturing

Caterpillar identifies its Larne facility as a design and manufacturing location for electric-power solutions. Components, protective enclosures and finished assemblies can differ greatly in weight and loading needs.

For an urgent part, give its packaged size and release time. For a complete assembly, send the total and individual weights, centre-of-gravity information where relevant, lifting points or fork access, and the loading arrangement. A machine's external dimensions do not establish safe lifting or vehicle suitability.

Millbrook

Medical manufacturing and supplier goods

Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies publishes contract manufacturing of IV-bag solutions from Larne, with its local location listed at Old Belfast Road, Millbrook. Supplier equipment, packaging and finished products need their own goods description and handover instructions.

State whether the consignment is ordinary equipment or a regulated product. Provide packaging, temperature, release and receiving requirements before acceptance. A local manufacturer's standards or licences do not establish a Synergix certification or automatic acceptance of medicines, biological material or controlled goods.

Willowbank Business Park

Photonics and precision equipment

Raptor Photonics lists its Larne address at Willowbank Business Park and describes camera technology used in scientific, industrial, surveillance and space applications. Precision instruments and optical equipment can need protective cases and careful restraint.

Send the exact goods description, packaged dimensions, individual weights and orientation limits. Identify batteries, lasers or controlled equipment before booking, and agree the authorised recipient. Relevant local technology activity does not imply a customer relationship, security clearance or specialist approval for Synergix.

Town, business parks and harbour

Stock, events and onward distribution

LEDCOM provides business premises and conference facilities at Willowbank. Together with Larne's trading businesses and freight-port activity, this creates different needs for packaged stock, display equipment, supplier collections and repeat deliveries.

Give the unit, shop or venue, service entrance and delivery window. For event equipment, agree unloading, final placement and any return collection. Refrigerated transport and leaving a refrigeration trailer at an event are different arrangements to discuss. A ferry terminal collection needs an operator release and the correct reference.

Local sector context: Caterpillar's Larne facility and Terumo's manufacturing information and Raptor Photonics. Named organisations provide local context, not claims of Synergix customers.

The last mile matters

Routes, loading
& site access.

Plan the final goods entrance as well as the main road or ferry. A town-centre delivery, a manufacturing site and a freight terminal have different access, release and receiving requirements.

A8 approaches and the actual gate

The A8 is the main Belfast-facing approach to Larne and Willowbank's operator identifies access to it. The correct onward approach still depends on the booked vehicle, site entrance and current restrictions.

Provide a suitable goods entrance and confirm height, width, weight and turning limits. Check current TrafficWatchNI updates before travel. A car route, clear main road or nearby dual carriageway does not confirm HGV access to a particular yard.

Factory, shop and rural receiving

For Old Glenarm Road, Millbrook or Willowbank premises, send the business, unit and receiving team. In central Larne, agree where unloading can legally take place and how the goods reach the final handover point.

For surrounding villages or rural premises, send entrance photographs, a contact and any vehicle-size limit. Confirm hard standing, unloading equipment and a safe turning or exit arrangement. Do not assume a large vehicle can follow a van's usual approach.

Larne to Cairnryan freight movements

P&O Freight operates the Larne to Cairnryan route. Its freight information distinguishes accompanied, unaccompanied and special-unit cut-offs. Book the suitable crossing and verify the operator's current check-in requirements for the movement.

Allow for positioning, loading, check-in, sailing, discharge and onward driving. Identify dangerous goods, abnormal dimensions or temperature requirements before acceptance. Terminal access and freight release must be agreed with the operator; a passenger terminal address is not a goods collection instruction.

GB to Northern Ireland goods requirements

For a Great Britain to Northern Ireland movement, identify the goods, sender, receiver, intended destination and who is responsible for the required information and declarations. Eligible internal-market processes depend on authorisation and the goods meeting the conditions; they are not a blanket exemption.

Use the current GOV.UK movement guidance and agree responsibilities with the relevant trader or appointed agent. Tell us about onward travel to the Republic of Ireland. Transport coverage does not itself include customs clearance or approval for regulated goods.

Confirm the last few metres

Describe the ground, slope, kerb, steps, loading bay and final placement. Photos help with a narrow yard or awkward entrance. A tail lift lowers goods; it does not move a pallet over gravel, up steps or through a doorway.

Larne and surrounding areas

Where is your
collection?

We assess collections and deliveries across Larne and the surrounding area, with onward UK transport. These groups help describe the job. They are coverage areas, not Synergix branch locations or fixed service boundaries.

Larne town and commercial premises

Central Larne, Old Glenarm Road, harbour-side businesses and Willowbank Business Park.

Provide the business or unit, correct goods gate, ready time and receiving contact. A named area is not a Synergix depot or terminal-access permission.

Millbrook and the surrounding area

Millbrook, Glynn, Magheramorne, Kilwaughter and nearby County Antrim premises.

Give both full addresses and describe the approach, ground and unloading facilities. Availability and actual vehicle access are assessed for each movement.

Wider Northern Ireland and GB connections

Onward deliveries elsewhere in Northern Ireland, with Great Britain and other destinations assessed against the complete route.

For an Irish Sea movement, send goods details early and agree the crossing, receiving slot and documentation responsibilities. No fixed arrival time follows from a local collection.

A useful enquiry. A clearer quote.

Tell us the job.
We will help plan it.

  1. The two addressesCollection and delivery postcodes, company/unit names, goods entrances and a contact at each end.
  2. What needs movingGoods description, item or pallet count, packaged dimensions, total and individual weights, stackability and photographs where useful.
  3. When it is readyDate, ready time, latest arrival, goods-in closing time and any booked slot or reference. Identify fixed deadlines.
  4. How it will be handledForklift, dock, tail lift, pallet truck, crane or crew at both ends. Include surface, aperture and vehicle-access limits.
  5. Any special requirementFragile finish, temperature, regulated goods, multiple stops, returnable packaging, returns or agreed final placement.
  6. Updates and repeat workYour preferred contact, delivery evidence and, for regular transport, frequency, expected volumes and seasonal peaks.

What affects the price?

Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.

For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Larne mileage price that fits every load.

What happens if something changes?

Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.

An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Larne and the surrounding area

The map shows Larne in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, with the town and harbour geography. Millbrook and surrounding rural premises need their own exact addresses and goods entrances. Send both full addresses and the correct goods entrances when enquiring.

This is an area map. It does not mark a Synergix office, establish a fixed service boundary or provide HGV routing. Our team confirms collection, delivery and access for the job.

Before you book

Larne transport
questions answered.

Courier, timing and delivery

How quickly can you collect in Larne?

Call with the exact collection address, goods, ready time and deadline. We check local vehicle availability and the full movement before agreeing a collection estimate. Great Britain journeys also depend on the booked crossing, check-in and goods requirements. Lorries and specialist equipment need their own positioning assessment.

Can you deliver from Larne to another part of the UK on the same day?

We assess this for the complete journey. Local Northern Ireland work differs from Great Britain delivery, which also needs a suitable booked crossing, check-in time, goods information and onward driving. Give both addresses, release time and the receiver’s latest acceptance time before a delivery plan is agreed.

What can a dedicated courier carry?

Courier work can include documents, parts, samples, print, IT equipment, technical cases, boxed stock and suitable bulky or palletised goods. Give the packaged dimensions, quantities and individual weights so we can assess the vehicle, loading and receiving arrangements.

Will a dedicated courier load stay on the same vehicle?

It normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about extra stops, returns or unusual route requirements so the arrangement is clear before booking.

Can I call at night or at the weekend?

Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the load and confirm a suitable vehicle and plan. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the agreed times.

How will I receive delivery updates and proof of delivery?

Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and evidence you need when booking, including a named recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference.

Haulage, vehicles and unloading

Do I need a courier or a haulage arrangement?

Start with the goods and deadline. An urgent part, technical case or suitable pallet may need a courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat loads may need haulage. Send the load and site details and we will help you choose.

Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Larne?

Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with collection, delivery and a suitable vehicle agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and loading at both ends. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.

Can you discuss full loads, part loads and regular deliveries?

Yes. Full loads, regular haulage and supported part-load arrangements can be discussed. Agree the body, loading, collection window and delivery plan. Part-load availability is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.

How do I choose a van or lorry, and can LoadCheck help?

Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and overhang. Enter packaged dimensions, weights and quantities into LoadCheck for an initial size estimate. Our team confirms actual fit, usable payload, apertures, restraint, equipment, access and availability.

What if the delivery site has no forklift?

Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed crew may be an option, depending on the goods and site. Send item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, ground conditions and final placement. These handling methods solve different problems and must be agreed.

When must I request an electric pump truck?

Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets may also need powered handling. Platform load, footprint, ground and the actual equipment still need checking.

Can you assess a crane or mounted-forklift delivery?

Yes. Send the precise goods, individual weights, dimensions, lifting points or fork access, required placement and photographs of the unloading area. Crane reach and support conditions differ from forklift access. Suitability, equipment and availability are confirmed for the job.

Can you arrange refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?

We can assess both, with the product, required temperature and handover agreed. Refrigerated transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Tell us which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.

Larne access and local handovers

Can you collect from a manufacturing site in Larne?

We can assess the movement when you give the business, goods entrance, release time and authorised contact. For a component, send its packaged dimensions and weight. For machinery or assemblies, also provide lifting or fork-access details and the equipment available at both ends. Site permission and a suitable vehicle must be confirmed.

Does a fast Larne collection mean same-day delivery in Great Britain?

No. We must assess the whole journey, including loading, the booked freight crossing and check-in cut-off, discharge, onward driving and the receiver's opening hours. Give both addresses and the actual deadline. A suitable local vehicle does not establish that the required sailing or delivery slot is available.

What is needed for a collection at Larne's freight terminal?

Give the terminal operator, exact collection point, freight or trailer reference, release confirmation and contact. Explain whether the movement is accompanied, unaccompanied or a local goods handover. We agree the access and handling plan before booking; the town postcode or passenger entrance is insufficient.

What should I provide for GB to Northern Ireland freight?

Start with the precise goods description, sender and receiver, intended destination and any special controls. Agree who provides the movement information and handles declarations before collection. Simplified internal-market arrangements have eligibility and authorisation conditions. Use current official guidance and the responsible trader or appointed agent; do not assume customs clearance is included with transport.

Can precision cameras or optical equipment travel by courier?

We can assess suitably packaged equipment. Send the dimensions, weight, protective-case details, orientation limits and named receiver. Declare batteries, lasers, controlled equipment or unusual handling requirements before acceptance. The goods and conditions determine the arrangement, rather than the manufacturer's industry alone.

Can you deliver to a rural address outside Larne?

Send the full address, entrance photographs and contact, plus vehicle-size limits, surface and turning details. We assess the load and approach together. A tail lift needs suitable ground and agreed handling; it cannot make a pallet travel across loose gravel or up steps.

Price, booking and changes

What affects the price of a Larne courier or haulage job?

Vehicle positioning, route distance, body type, deadline, waiting, loading, extra stops, handling equipment and additional labour affect the quote. Send accurate goods and site details. We price the actual arrangement rather than applying one mileage rate to every load.

How do I book, and what happens if the job changes?

Request a quote or call with both addresses, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, quantities, ready time, deadline, contacts and handling at both ends. We confirm the vehicle, plan and price for the booking. Tell us promptly about added goods, delayed release or a changed slot so we can reassess.

Can you discuss warehousing, retail distribution or two-person delivery?

Yes. Send the usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person handling can be considered within a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.
