Your load.
The right vehicle.

Browse the van, rigid, articulated and specialist options, then open a vehicle guide for dimensions, body types and loading advice. You can ask for a particular vehicle or let us work from your load details.

Vehicle illustrations show example bodies. We confirm the actual vehicle, usable space, payload and equipment for your booking. Specialist configurations are subject to suitability and availability.

01 / Same-day & dedicated courier

Peterlee courier.
A direct delivery.

Peterlee’s heavy manufacturing, automotive electronics and specialist component businesses have different packing and handover needs. We arrange dedicated courier movements around the actual goods and receiver’s deadline, without a parcel-network sorting hub.

Factory parts, tools and production supplies

Caterpillar identifies articulated-truck manufacturing in Peterlee, while ZF identifies automotive-electronics production. An ordinary replacement part, tool case or production supply can need a direct handover with a named department.

Send the exact unit, goods gate, reference, packed dimensions and individual weights. Protect finished surfaces and delicate assemblies; identify batteries, liquids, controlled goods or unusual handling before acceptance.

Electronic components and suitable pallets

Protected components, boxed stock and suitable pallets may need an urgent movement from Bracken Hill or a Peterlee industrial estate. Include packaging, projections, quantity and the heaviest individual item.

Follow the supplier’s packing and protection instructions, with any environmental, traceability or security requirements supplied. A small component may still need careful handling, while heavier equipment or several pallets can need a haulage arrangement.

Ready time, vehicle and receiving deadline

A van collection in Peterlee may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the actual location, goods and suitable vehicle availability. Call for an estimate for your job. Rigids, artics and specialist equipment need a separate availability check.

Confirm release, packing and loading staff before requesting collection. Factory shifts, security reception and goods-in appointments can differ. An urgent job needs the recipient’s latest acceptance time and any fixed production deadline.

Local collection and onward UK delivery

North West, South West and North Road industrial areas, Bracken Hill, town-centre premises and nearby Shotton handovers need precise unit and goods-gate details. A Peterlee postcode alone does not identify the loading bay or receiving department.

The ready time, route and latest receiving time determine whether a same-day movement is achievable. European work also needs goods documents and customs responsibilities agreed. A collection estimate is not a delivery guarantee.

Updates and repeat collections

Our team remains your point of contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the recipient, updates and any signature, photograph or reference requirement when booking.

Scheduled supplier runs, stock transfers and out-of-hours enquiries can also be discussed. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing, vehicle allocation and site access are confirmed for the booking.

02 / General & dedicated haulage

Peterlee haulage.
Planned around the load.

For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.

Dedicated pallet transport

Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.

We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.

Full loads, part loads and repeat work

A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.

Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.

Choose the body as well as the lorry size

Box and curtainsider

A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.

Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift

Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.

Temperature-controlled loads

Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.

Articulated and specialist trailers

Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.

Getting it off matters just as much

Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.

When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.

Read our tail-lift and pallet-truck guidance.

Timed deliveries and urgent haulage

A booked Peterlee manufacturing-site receiving slot, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.

Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.

Local work. Different requirements.

Peterlee.
Manufacturing, electronics & supply chains.

Current Caterpillar and ZF sources identify Peterlee manufacturing. ISOCOM’s own facilities page identifies its Peterlee component production, and the regional space-sector directory explicitly describes defence, space and aerospace applications. The named organisations establish local context, not Synergix customer relationships. The transport examples help identify the goods, handling and receiving details needed for an enquiry.

North West industrial area

Heavy manufacturing and production parts

Caterpillar’s official facilities page identifies Peterlee as an articulated-truck manufacturing site. Tools, production components and packaged supplies are different enquiries from moving a complete machine.

Give the precise consignment, packed dimensions, individual weights, fork access or lifting points. A full machine or awkward assembly needs a separately assessed body, handling and route plan. No Synergix relationship with the manufacturer is implied.

Automotive electronics

Protected components and equipment

ZF’s official UK information identifies automotive-electronics activity at Peterlee. Component stock, tools and boxed production equipment can need protection and a specific receiving reference.

Supply the manufacturer’s packaging and handling instructions, including orientation, environmental or traceability requirements. Agree release and goods-in contact; a dedicated van does not automatically establish a validated specialist service.

Bracken Hill

Space and defence-related components

ISOCOM identifies its manufacturing and testing facilities in Peterlee. Space North East England describes its components’ defence, space and aerospace applications. Protected components and ordinary equipment illustrate possible transport enquiries.

Send the exact goods, packaging, weights and supplier instructions. Declare controlled items, security conditions and permissions before acceptance. The local sector evidence does not imply Synergix clean-room capability, defence clearance or a customer relationship.

South West industrial area

Workshops and regular commercial freight

Business Durham identifies Endeavour Village’s office/workshop units on Peterlee’s South West Industrial Estate. Small workshop supplies, stock transfers and larger commercial loads can need different handovers within the same district.

Identify the unit, shutter or office entrance and unloading contact. Give recurring volumes, frequency and delivery order for regular work. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered with the wider arrangement specified.

Local context: Caterpillar UK facilities, ZF UK locations, ISOCOM facilities.

The last mile matters

Routes, loading
& site access.

Peterlee has several industrial areas and many individual units. Match the actual goods gate and department to the load first, then assess the vehicle approach, working space and receiving slot. A large manufacturing site does not prove that every consignment needs or can receive an artic.

Industrial estates and unit references

Distinguish North West, South West and North Road premises. Give the full business unit, goods entrance and collecting reference rather than an interchangeable estate name.

Confirm loading staff, equipment, ready time and receiving appointment. A unit’s roller shutter does not by itself establish forklift availability, sufficient aperture or trailer turning space.

Factory and specialist-component handovers

For production or electronic-component goods, obtain the named department, release status, delivery reference and supplier handling instructions. Security reception may be separate from the loading bay.

Declare controlled or regulated goods and any environmental or documentation requirement before acceptance. Current recipient instructions determine the handover, not an assumption based on the manufacturer’s sector.

Heavy loads and unloading space

Supply complete transported dimensions, supports, individual weights and weight distribution. For specialist equipment, include lifting points or fork access and the required set-down location.

Check firm ground, overhead clearance, turning space and the working area for equipment. A crane, mounted forklift, tail lift and two-person crew solve different handling problems and must be agreed for the job.

Local receiving and onward routes

Use both precise addresses to choose the actual road journey and check current conditions. Town-centre shops and nearby villages need their own lawful loading, surface and entrance details.

Include waiting, unloading and any additional or return stop in the plan. For regular work, give recurring receiving windows and seasonal peaks; notify changed gates or delayed releases promptly.

Use official road conditions and the current collecting/receiving instructions. Map location, legal access and physical fit are separate checks.

A useful enquiry. A clearer quote.

Tell us the job.
We will help plan it.

  1. The two addressesCollection and delivery postcodes, company/unit names, goods entrances and a contact at each end.
  2. What needs movingGoods description, item or pallet count, packaged dimensions, total and individual weights, stackability and photographs where useful.
  3. When it is readyDate, ready time, latest arrival, goods-in closing time and any booked slot or reference. Identify fixed deadlines.
  4. How it will be handledForklift, dock, tail lift, pallet truck, crane or crew at both ends. Include surface, aperture and vehicle-access limits.
  5. Any special requirementFragile finish, temperature, regulated goods, multiple stops, returnable packaging, returns or agreed final placement.
  6. Updates and repeat workYour preferred contact, delivery evidence and, for regular transport, frequency, expected volumes and seasonal peaks.

What affects the price?

Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.

For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Peterlee mileage price that fits every load.

What happens if something changes?

Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.

An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book

Peterlee transport
questions answered.

Courier, timing and delivery

How quickly can you collect in Peterlee?

A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.

Can you deliver from Peterlee elsewhere in the UK today?

It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.

Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?

A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.

Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?

Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.

How will I know the goods have been delivered?

Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.

What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?

Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.

Haulage, vehicles and handling

Do I need a courier or a haulage service?

Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.

Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Peterlee?

Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.

Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?

We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.

How do I choose the right van or lorry?

Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.

Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?

Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.

Open LoadCheck

What if the receiving site has no forklift?

Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.

When must I request an electric pump truck?

Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.

Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?

Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.

Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?

We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.

Peterlee access and local handovers

What do you need for a Peterlee factory collection?

Give the actual industrial area, business, goods gate, department and collecting reference. Confirm release, staff, loading equipment and the receiving slot. Send the consignment’s packaged dimensions and weights. A factory address does not establish that cargo is ready or that the visitor entrance is the loading point.

Can you assess electronic or space-sector components?

Send exact goods, supplier packing and protection instructions, dimensions, weights, deadline and receiver. Identify environmental, traceability, security and controlled-goods conditions before acceptance. We assess the appropriate transport arrangement. Local component-sector evidence does not imply a Synergix defence clearance or clean-room service.

Is a complete machine the same booking as a replacement part?

No. A packaged part may suit a courier, while a machine or large assembly needs its complete transported dimensions, weights, supports, loading points and site access assessed. Confirm the body, route and unloading equipment. Do not use the manufacturer’s vehicle name or a standard pallet count as proof of suitability.

Can you discuss regular workshop and stock deliveries?

Yes, provide the route, frequency, usual quantities and packed load, receiving windows and unloading details. Include additional stops, delivery order and busy periods. We assess the courier or haulage plan and confirm the body, equipment, timing and price for the work.

Price, booking and ongoing work

What affects the price of a Peterlee courier or haulage job?

Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.

What information do you need to book?

Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.

Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?

Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.

Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?

No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
