01 / Same-day & dedicated courier
Hexham courier.
A direct delivery.
Hexham combines wood-panel manufacturing, industrial workshops, commercial premises and event venues. A small replacement part and a long bundle of boards need different vehicles and loading plans. We arrange dedicated courier movements around the actual consignment and receiving deadline.
Workshop parts, samples and commercial stock
Urgent tooling, protected product samples, boxed stock and suitable pallets can need a direct delivery from a Hexham business. Give the packed dimensions, individual weights, readiness and precise receiving point.
Board samples and short components may fit a van, while full-length bundles, heavy packs or machinery can need a haulage arrangement. Confirm handling equipment, packaging, projections and any requirement to keep the goods dry.
Event equipment and timed handovers
Print, boxed supplies, display equipment and replacement items can be required before a Hexham venue’s setup deadline. State the equipment, receiving contact and latest useful arrival, including any return collection.
Identify the goods entrance and the final handover point. Give steps, lift or carry requirements and agree any two-person work. Food, liquids, batteries and temperature-sensitive goods need their actual requirements declared before acceptance.
Ready time, vehicle and receiving deadline
A van collection in Hexham may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the actual location, goods and suitable vehicle availability. Call for an estimate for your job. Rigids, artics and specialist equipment need a separate availability check.
For an industrial collection, confirm the load is released, packed and accessible to loading staff. For a venue or rural receiver, agree the handover appointment and latest useful arrival. An opening time or map estimate is not a confirmed transport slot.
Local collection and onward UK delivery
For Bridge End, Tyne Mills, Haugh Lane, Burn Lane, town-centre or nearby village collections, send the actual business and entrance. Tynedale rural addresses need their own gate, approach and unloading details, rather than a postcode alone.
The ready time, route and latest receiving time determine whether a same-day movement is achievable. European work also needs goods documents and customs responsibilities agreed. A collection estimate is not a delivery guarantee.
Updates and repeat collections
Our team remains your point of contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the recipient, updates and any signature, photograph or reference requirement when booking.
Scheduled supplier runs, stock transfers and out-of-hours enquiries can also be discussed. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing, vehicle allocation and site access are confirmed for the booking.
02 / General & dedicated haulage
Hexham haulage.
Planned around the load.
For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.
Dedicated pallet transport
Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.
We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.
Full loads, part loads and repeat work
A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.
Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.
Choose the body as well as the lorry size
Box and curtainsider
A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.
Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift
Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.
Temperature-controlled loads
Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.
Articulated and specialist trailers
Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.
Getting it off matters just as much
Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.
When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.
Timed deliveries and urgent haulage
A booked Hexham industrial-site receiving slot, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.
Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.
Local work. Different requirements.
Hexham.
Boards, workshops & events.
EGGER identifies its Hexham wood-panel production site on Anick Grange Road. Official sources also identify the Bridge End and Tyne Mills commercial areas, while Hexham Racecourse offers venue hire for corporate and private events. The named organisations establish local context, not Synergix customer relationships. The transport examples help identify the goods, handling and receiving details needed for an enquiry.
Wood-panel manufacture
Boards, production supplies and packaged components
EGGER identifies Hexham as one of its UK chipboard production locations, serving interior, building and flooring markets. That gives useful context for enquiries about board packs, protected samples, production supplies and parts.
State the full bundle length, width, height, total and individual weights, packaging and stacking limits. Agree fork access, weather protection, edge protection and restraint. Do not infer a payload or loading method from the product name.
Industrial premises
Workshops, trade stock and machinery
Bridge End and Tyne Mills are established commercial areas on opposite sides of the Tyne. Haugh Lane and Burn Lane also provide local industrial context. Individual businesses have different goods entrances, equipment and release procedures.
Give the actual unit, gate, reference and contact. Finished components need suitable protection; machines and heavier assemblies need confirmed lifting points, fork access or lifting equipment. An estate address does not prove a dock or forklift is available.
Town and surrounding trade
Retail, project materials and repeat deliveries
Hexham shops, trade premises and surrounding project sites can need commercial stock, fittings or ordinary materials delivered to an agreed receiving point. Regular movements require clear quantities, frequency and handover arrangements.
Explain lawful loading, door access, steps, walking distance and the working surface. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered alongside the transport, with the scope confirmed.
High Yarridge and other venues
Events, displays and refrigeration enquiries
Hexham Racecourse’s current venue page identifies corporate and private events at High Yarridge. Display equipment, print and suitable supplies illustrate possible enquiries before setup or after an event.
Agree delivery and recovery windows, the goods entrance, carry distance and responsibility for setup. Event refrigeration needs the actual equipment, duration, placement and power requirements agreed. Venue activity is local context, not a Synergix contract.
Local context: EGGER current UK production locations, Environment Agency completed Hexham scheme, Hexham Racecourse current event venue.

Routes, loading
& site access.
A north-bank industrial gate, a town-centre shop and a venue or rural receiver need different approaches. Use the complete addresses and current site instructions to assess the route, working space and unloading plan for the selected vehicle.
Industrial gates on both sides of the Tyne
Send the exact business, unit and goods gate. Bridge End, Tyne Mills and other industrial areas are not interchangeable delivery points; identify which entrance and receiving team are expecting the load.
Confirm the booking reference, slot, staff and equipment. Check height, width, turning and working room against the actual body and load. A map pin does not establish a suitable dock, forklift or goods aperture.
Board packs and heavier goods
Measure the whole protected pack, including bearers, wrapping and projections. Explain whether goods can be stacked, forked or tilted, and provide the individual and combined weights.
Confirm forklift capability and working space at both ends, or agree suitable lifting equipment. Weather and edge protection, load restraint and safe unloading need to be planned together. Specialist vehicle equipment requires a separate availability check.
Town-centre and event handovers
Confirm lawful loading and the actual receiving door. For an event, give the setup deadline, goods entrance, steward or organiser and any recovery window. A visitor car park is not a confirmed goods bay.
Tell us about steps, lifts, carry distance and ground conditions. Two-person delivery and event refrigeration need their scope and equipment agreed. Include waiting or multiple stops when describing the job.
Tynedale rural approaches and current conditions
For surrounding villages, workshops and project sites, give the full approach, gate, turning room and unloading surface. Photographs help explain narrow or awkward access before a vehicle is allocated.
The Environment Agency records completion of the Bridge End and Tyne Mills flood scheme in September 2023. That is historical context, not a current all-clear. Check current road, weather and site conditions before dispatch, particularly for riverside or rural addresses.
Check official road conditions, current site instructions and official flood information where relevant to the journey.

What affects the price?
Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.
For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Hexham mileage price that fits every load.
What happens if something changes?
Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.
An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book
Hexham transport
questions answered.
Courier, timing and delivery
How quickly can you collect in Hexham?
A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.
Can you deliver from Hexham elsewhere in the UK today?
It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.
Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?
A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.
Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?
Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.
How will I know the goods have been delivered?
Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.
What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?
Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.
Haulage, vehicles and handling
Do I need a courier or a haulage service?
Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.
Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Hexham?
Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.
Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?
We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.
How do I choose the right van or lorry?
Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.
Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?
Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.
What if the receiving site has no forklift?
Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.
When must I request an electric pump truck?
Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.
Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?
Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.
Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?
We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.
Hexham access and local handovers
Can you arrange transport for a pack of boards?
Send the complete packaged length, width and height, the total weight and heaviest individual pack. Explain stacking limits, fork access, protection and unloading equipment at both ends. Short samples may suit a van; longer or heavier packs may need a rigid, articulated or specialist arrangement. We confirm suitability for the actual goods.
Is an industrial-estate name enough to book a collection?
We need the actual business, unit, goods entrance, reference and release contact. Confirm the receiving slot and equipment at the destination as well. Bridge End, Tyne Mills, Haugh Lane and Burn Lane contain individual premises with their own gates and procedures.
Can you collect from a rural address near Hexham?
Supply the full address, gate, approach and unloading point. Tell us about narrow access, height, turning, ground and loading equipment, using photographs where helpful. We assess the selected vehicle and whole load; a coverage area does not guarantee every lorry can reach every gate.
Can you deliver event equipment and collect it afterwards?
Give the complete load, setup deadline, goods entrance, organiser and return window. Explain carry distance, steps and any two-person requirement. Delivery, waiting, recovery and setup responsibilities need to be agreed as part of the booking.
How quickly can a courier collect in the surrounding area?
Call with both addresses, the packed goods and confirmed readiness. A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to location, goods and suitable availability. Rural access and release procedures affect the estimate. Rigids, artics and specialist equipment need a separate check, and the receiving deadline must also be assessed.
Price, booking and ongoing work
What affects the price of a Hexham courier or haulage job?
Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.
What information do you need to book?
Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.
Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?
Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.
Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?
No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
