Your load.
The right vehicle.

Browse the van, rigid, articulated and specialist options, then open a vehicle guide for dimensions, body types and loading advice. You can ask for a particular vehicle or let us work from your load details.

Vehicle illustrations show example bodies. We confirm the actual vehicle, usable space, payload and equipment for your booking. Specialist configurations are subject to suitability and availability.

01 / Same-day & dedicated courier

Blyth courier.
A direct delivery.

Blyth’s port and renewable-energy testing activity can create urgent handovers where the exact goods, release contact and receiving slot matter. We arrange dedicated courier movements around that information, without a parcel-network sorting hub.

Offshore parts, tools and test equipment

A packaged component, tool case or sample for a Blyth engineering or testing site can need a direct movement. Identify the project, collecting unit, release contact and receiver rather than simply giving the port address.

Protect sensitive surfaces and assemblies. Send complete packaged dimensions, weights and orientation limits, and tell us about batteries, liquids, regulated goods or unusual restraint requirements before acceptance.

Commercial stock and suitable pallets

Boxed supplies, print, replacement equipment and suitable palletised goods can travel by dedicated courier. Measure the actual loaded footprint and height, including packaging or projections.

Confirm staff and loading equipment at both ends. A heavy compact item and bulky light equipment can need different vehicle bodies. Larger volumes, awkward loads or specialist unloading can be assessed through the haulage options below.

Ready time, vehicle and receiving deadline

A van collection in Blyth may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the actual location, goods and suitable vehicle availability. Call for an estimate for your job. Rigids, artics and specialist equipment need a separate availability check.

A vessel timetable or testing appointment does not prove the cargo is ready for road collection. Confirm release, packing, loading staff and the recipient’s latest acceptance time before requesting an urgent movement.

Local collection and onward UK delivery

For South Harbour, Bates, the town centre and nearby Cowpen or Newsham premises, give the actual unit and goods entrance. Enquiries around Cambois and the opposite side of the estuary need their own road approach and receiving details.

The ready time, route and latest receiving time determine whether a same-day movement is achievable. European work also needs goods documents and customs responsibilities agreed. A collection estimate is not a delivery guarantee.

Updates and repeat collections

Our team remains your point of contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the recipient, updates and any signature, photograph or reference requirement when booking.

Scheduled supplier runs, stock transfers and out-of-hours enquiries can also be discussed. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing, vehicle allocation and site access are confirmed for the booking.

02 / General & dedicated haulage

Blyth haulage.
Planned around the load.

For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.

Dedicated pallet transport

Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.

We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.

Full loads, part loads and repeat work

A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.

Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.

Choose the body as well as the lorry size

Box and curtainsider

A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.

Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift

Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.

Temperature-controlled loads

Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.

Articulated and specialist trailers

Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.

Getting it off matters just as much

Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.

When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.

Read our tail-lift and pallet-truck guidance.

Timed deliveries and urgent haulage

A booked South Harbour cargo handover, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.

Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.

Local work. Different requirements.

Blyth.
Energy, testing & port freight.

Port of Blyth publicly identifies offshore-energy, unitised and bulk activity. ORE Catapult’s Blyth Technology Development Centre provides renewable-energy testing support. These sources explain different load and handling needs. The named organisations establish local context, not Synergix customer relationships. The transport examples help identify the goods, handling and receiving details needed for an enquiry.

Offshore energy

Project parts and packaged equipment

Port of Blyth identifies offshore-energy and renewables support among its activities and describes supply-chain businesses on site. Urgent spares, tools and protected equipment are plausible courier enquiries; larger assemblies need a fuller haulage assessment.

Send weight, packed dimensions, lifting points or fork access and the collecting project contact. A port’s heavy-lift capability does not mean the chosen road vehicle or every recipient has suitable equipment.

ORE Catapult

Renewable-energy development and testing

ORE Catapult identifies its Technology Development Centre at the National Renewable Energy Centre in Blyth, supporting testing of renewable-energy technology. Test articles, equipment cases and engineering samples can have strict packaging or orientation requirements.

Agree the recipient, test or project reference, handling instructions and return collection. A trial appointment is not a delivery slot, and a fragile prototype may need a protective case and restraint plan beyond a simple floor-space check.

South Harbour

Unitised cargo and distribution handovers

The port identifies South Harbour container handling and warehouse processing, with Transped providing logistics services. A road movement may collect unpacked palletised goods or involve a container, and those are different jobs.

Confirm whether the consignment is loose freight, pallets or a container. Give release status, dimensions, weights, container specification where relevant and loading arrangements. Customs and terminal responsibilities must be agreed separately.

Town and nearby trade

Stock, materials and commercial supplies

Blyth shops, trade businesses and project receivers can need stock, print or packaged materials delivered to a particular receiving point. The actual door, loading place and staff availability determine the handover.

Include steps, narrow entrances, surface and any final-placement requirement. Regular haulage, retail distribution and agreed two-person work can be discussed, with frequency, usual volume and seasonal peaks supplied.

The last mile matters

Routes, loading
& site access.

Port sites sit around the Blyth estuary rather than at a single interchangeable gate. Choose the actual terminal, unit and bank first, then check vehicle access, release instructions and unloading. Longer or heavy project freight needs its own loading and route assessment.

South Harbour, Bates and other port sites

The Port of Blyth identifies multiple terminals and secure operations. Send the exact terminal and tenant, collecting or receiving reference, release status and current gate instructions.

Do not send a vehicle to the general port office when the freight is elsewhere. A road booking does not automatically include terminal permission, customs clearance, port handling or a vessel appointment.

Estuary approaches and onward road movement

Cambois-side and Blyth-side locations need their precise addresses and approaches. A straight-line map distance across the estuary is not a road journey plan.

Check current road conditions and any approach restrictions against the assigned vehicle. Include positioning, unloading and return or onward movement in the schedule; do not assume a standard time for every port transfer.

Project loads and operating space

Give the complete transported dimensions, including supports, packaging and projections, plus individual weights and loading method. Long assemblies or machinery can require specialist body or equipment choices.

Check turning and working space, firm ground, overhead obstructions and fork access or lifting points. The team assesses suitability before booking; the illustrated trailer range is not approval for every project load.

Town-centre and trade receiving

Identify the lawful loading location, receiver and time window. Opening hours do not establish permission to stop outside a shop or leave freight unattended.

Tell us about walking distance, steps, kerbs and unsuitable surfaces. Confirm a tail lift, pallet truck, forklift or agreed crew where required. A tail lift alone does not solve horizontal movement or final placement.

Check official road conditions and obtain the terminal or tenant’s current instructions before dispatch.

Blyth and surrounding collection areas

Where is your
collection?

We assess collections and deliveries across Blyth and nearby places, with onward UK transport. These are coverage areas, not Synergix offices. Supply the full address, postcode, unit and goods entrance.

Blyth town and commercial areas

Town centre, South Harbour, Cowpen, Newsham and surrounding Blyth premises.

Give the exact unit and goods entrance; a port or estate name alone may cover several handovers.

Estuary and nearby Northumberland

Cambois, East Sleekburn, Bedlington, Seaton Delaval and Cramlington.

Collections and deliveries are assessed individually. These are coverage areas, not Synergix offices, and opposite-bank sites need the correct road approach.

Onward UK movements

Newcastle, North Tyneside, wider Northumberland and national destinations.

Send ready time, the recipient’s deadline and unloading details. For European work agree ferry, terminal and goods-document responsibilities separately.

A useful enquiry. A clearer quote.

Tell us the job.
We will help plan it.

  1. The two addressesCollection and delivery postcodes, company/unit names, goods entrances and a contact at each end.
  2. What needs movingGoods description, item or pallet count, packaged dimensions, total and individual weights, stackability and photographs where useful.
  3. When it is readyDate, ready time, latest arrival, goods-in closing time and any booked slot or reference. Identify fixed deadlines.
  4. How it will be handledForklift, dock, tail lift, pallet truck, crane or crew at both ends. Include surface, aperture and vehicle-access limits.
  5. Any special requirementFragile finish, temperature, regulated goods, multiple stops, returnable packaging, returns or agreed final placement.
  6. Updates and repeat workYour preferred contact, delivery evidence and, for regular transport, frequency, expected volumes and seasonal peaks.

What affects the price?

Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.

For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Blyth mileage price that fits every load.

What happens if something changes?

Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.

An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Blyth and the surrounding area

The map shows Blyth in Northumberland and the estuary surroundings. Port premises may be on different parts of the river, so provide the exact terminal, unit and goods entrance rather than relying on a town-centre map point.

This is an area map, not a Synergix office pin or a fixed service boundary. Confirm the actual goods entrance, vehicle access and receiving arrangements for the job.

Before you book

Blyth transport
questions answered.

Courier, timing and delivery

How quickly can you collect in Blyth?

A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.

Can you deliver from Blyth elsewhere in the UK today?

It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.

Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?

A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.

Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?

Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.

How will I know the goods have been delivered?

Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.

What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?

Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.

Haulage, vehicles and handling

Do I need a courier or a haulage service?

Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.

Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Blyth?

Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.

Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?

We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.

How do I choose the right van or lorry?

Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.

Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?

Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.

Open LoadCheck

What if the receiving site has no forklift?

Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.

When must I request an electric pump truck?

Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.

Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?

Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.

Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?

We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.

Blyth access and local handovers

Which Port of Blyth entrance should I give?

Give the actual terminal, tenant or handler and the goods gate supplied by the collecting or receiving team. Include release status, reference, time window, load details and equipment. South Harbour, Bates and other sites are not interchangeable handovers; the general office address is not automatic permission to reach cargo.

Can you collect test equipment for an ORE Catapult project?

We can assess packaged equipment and components against the precise load, handling and deadline. Give the project reference, named receiver, protective packaging, orientation, dimensions and weight. Agree unloading and any return movement. The example does not imply a Synergix customer relationship or approval to enter the site.

Is collecting unpacked freight the same as collecting a container?

No. Tell us whether the goods are already palletised or loose, or whether an actual container is to be moved. A container needs its specification, weight, collection/release and receiving arrangements assessed. Pallet freight needs its loaded footprint, height, individual weights and handling. Terminal handling and customs responsibilities are agreed separately.

Can you arrange an urgent offshore component movement?

Call with the goods description, packaged dimensions and weights, ready time and latest acceptance. We assess ordinary components and equipment against vehicle, loading, site access and availability. Identify regulated goods and unusual lifting or security conditions before acceptance. Urgency does not remove route, handling or legal limits.

Price, booking and ongoing work

What affects the price of a Blyth courier or haulage job?

Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.

What information do you need to book?

Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.

Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?

Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.

Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?

No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
