Your load.
The right vehicle.

Browse the van, rigid, articulated and specialist options, then open a vehicle guide for dimensions, body types and loading advice. You can ask for a particular vehicle or let us work from your load details.

Vehicle illustrations show example bodies. We confirm the actual vehicle, usable space, payload and equipment for your booking. Specialist configurations are subject to suitability and availability.

01 / Same-day & dedicated courier

Richmond upon Thames courier.
A direct delivery.

An urgent commercial handover needs the right vehicle and a named recipient. We arrange dedicated transport around the actual goods, release time and receiving arrangements.

Protected equipment, components, print and commercial stock

Give the precise collecting business, unit, release contact and reference. Send the complete packed dimensions and individual weights, with protection, upright-only or fragile-goods instructions.

Disclose batteries, chemicals or controlled goods before acceptance. A business address or industry description does not establish suitable loading equipment or permission for every consignment.

Stock, project supplies and suitable pallets

Commercial stock, print, equipment cases and suitable pallets can need a dedicated collection or delivery. Include packaging and projections, quantity and individual weights.

Confirm loading staff, forklift or other equipment and receiving arrangements at both ends. Bulky pieces can need more usable room than compact heavy parts. Discuss crew, placement and heavier freight through the haulage guidance.

Ready time, vehicle and receiving deadline

A van collection in Richmond upon Thames may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the actual location, goods and suitable vehicle availability. Call for an estimate for your job. Rigids, artics and specialist equipment need a separate availability check.

Confirm when the goods are packed and released, loading staff are ready and the recipient can actually accept them. A visitor opening time or general reception address is not a goods-in appointment.

Local collection and onward UK delivery

Richmond shops need release authority, the actual receiving entrance and lawful loading. Twickenham and Mortlake production jobs need a named production contact and slot. Teddington equipment needs protection and handling details. For Barnes, plan a lawful river crossing around the current Hammersmith Bridge motor-traffic closure.

The ready time, route and latest receiving time determine whether a same-day movement is achievable. European work also needs goods documents and customs responsibilities agreed. A collection estimate is not a delivery guarantee.

Updates and repeat collections

Our team remains your point of contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the recipient, updates and any signature, photograph or reference requirement when booking.

Scheduled supplier runs, stock transfers and out-of-hours enquiries can also be discussed. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing, vehicle allocation and site access are confirmed for the booking.

02 / General & dedicated haulage

Richmond upon Thames haulage.
Planned around the load.

For dedicated pallet transport, heavier commercial freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.

Dedicated pallet transport

Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.

We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.

Full loads, part loads and repeat work

A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.

Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.

Choose the body as well as the lorry size

Box and curtainsider

A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.

Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift

Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.

Temperature-controlled loads

Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.

Articulated and specialist trailers

Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.

Getting it off matters just as much

Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.

When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.

Read our tail-lift and pallet-truck guidance.

Timed deliveries and urgent haulage

A booked commercial receiving slot in Twickenham, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.

Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.

Local work. Different requirements.

Transport shaped
by Richmond upon Thames.

Richmond upon Thames brings together the local activities below. Named organisations establish sector context, not Synergix customers or approvals. The examples explain the goods, handling and handover details needed for a transport enquiry.

Twickenham and Mortlake

Film and creative production

Richmond’s Growth Plan identifies screen-industry activity including Twickenham Film Studios and Story Works in Mortlake. Equipment, props, print and supplier goods can need a precise production handover.

Send packaged dimensions, individual weights, protection, release reference and the named receiving team. Confirm the current service gate, slot and any return collection. A studio’s public address does not establish courier clearance or vehicle access.

Teddington measurement science

Instruments and technical supplies

NPL’s current Teddington material describes measurement applications across sectors including defence, medical and nuclear work. This establishes scientific activity rather than a local defence-factory claim.

For an instrument or supplier-equipment enquiry, declare the actual contents, protective packing, orientation and handling. Specialised, radioactive, hazardous or otherwise regulated goods need separate assessment. No Synergix clinical, nuclear or defence approval is implied.

Dispersed business premises

A practical plan for smaller sites

The council’s employment study describes a dispersed pattern of smaller business sites. Its 2017 evidence is geographic context, rather than a current tenancy list or proof of a particular loading yard.

Give the current business, unit and receiving point, with gate width, handling distance and loading help. A smaller consignment can still need substantial usable space. Confirm safe ground and agreed equipment before relying on a tail lift or pallet truck.

Richmond, Kew and borough centres

Retail replenishment and repeat work

A shop collection, office delivery or supplier run needs ready goods, release authority and a named recipient. Repeat routes across the borough must work with each business’s goods-in hours.

Send normal and peak volumes, frequency, return packaging and any agreed internal placement. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and two-person delivery can be considered with the transport. Event refrigerated-trailer hire is discussed separately from chilled freight.

Local context: Film and creative production.

The last mile matters

Routes, loading
& site access.

River crossings, smaller premises and lawful loading can matter as much as the main road. Confirm the full route and final handover for Richmond, Barnes, Twickenham or Teddington before dispatch.

Hammersmith Bridge and Barnes routes

The council’s current information says Hammersmith Bridge is closed to motor traffic. A vehicle journey for Barnes or neighbouring addresses needs a lawful alternative crossing and a realistic receiving plan.

Check current road conditions for the job date. Do not rely on a familiar passenger route or the shortest line on an area map. Council bridge information.

Eel Pie Island and constrained handovers

For Eel Pie Island, confirm the actual mainland unloading point and any onward carrying or handling. The council has specific advance-dispensation requirements for longer loading operations; do not apply an island-specific arrangement to every borough street.

Agree who arranges any required permission before dispatch. Elsewhere, check the actual bay signs, restrictions, kerbs, surface and receiving entrance. Arrival nearby does not establish that the complete load can reach its final position safely.

Vehicle permits and London lorry controls

The operator must check the allocated lorry against TfL’s HGV safety-permit scheme and London Councils’ lorry-control requirements. Their scope depends on the vehicle and route.

Legal road access, a receiving appointment and space to unload are separate checks. HGV safety permits and London lorry controls.

The complete route and unloading point

London emissions and road-user charges need checking for the actual vehicle, date and journey. A compliant vehicle still needs a lawful approach, suitable turning room and an agreed loading point. TfL emissions guidance.

Describe the ground, slope, kerb, doors and final placement. A tail lift lowers goods; it does not move a pallet over gravel or steps. Send site photographs where useful and identify the person who can accept the goods.

Check official major-road conditions for the job date. Notify us promptly about changed gates, delayed releases or missed appointments so timing, equipment and price can be reassessed.

A useful enquiry. A clearer quote.

Tell us the job.
We will help plan it.

  1. The two addressesCollection and delivery postcodes, company/unit names, goods entrances and a contact at each end.
  2. What needs movingGoods description, item or pallet count, packaged dimensions, total and individual weights, stackability and photographs where useful.
  3. When it is readyDate, ready time, latest arrival, goods-in closing time and any booked slot or reference. Identify fixed deadlines.
  4. How it will be handledForklift, dock, tail lift, pallet truck, crane or crew at both ends. Include surface, aperture and vehicle-access limits.
  5. Any special requirementFragile finish, temperature, regulated goods, multiple stops, returnable packaging, returns or agreed final placement.
  6. Updates and repeat workYour preferred contact, delivery evidence and, for regular transport, frequency, expected volumes and seasonal peaks.

What affects the price?

Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.

For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Richmond upon Thames mileage price that fits every load.

What happens if something changes?

Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.

An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book

Richmond upon Thames transport
questions answered.

Courier, timing and delivery

How quickly can you collect in Richmond upon Thames?

A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.

Can you deliver from Richmond upon Thames elsewhere in the UK today?

It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.

Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?

A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.

Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?

Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.

How will I know the goods have been delivered?

Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.

What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?

Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.

Haulage, vehicles and handling

Do I need a courier or a haulage service?

Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.

Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Richmond upon Thames?

Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.

Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?

We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.

How do I choose the right van or lorry?

Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.

Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?

Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.

Open LoadCheck

What if the receiving site has no forklift?

Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.

When must I request an electric pump truck?

Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.

Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?

Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.

Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?

We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.

Richmond upon Thames access and local handovers

Can you arrange a collection from a Richmond shop or production site?

We assess the load, authorised release, ready time and onward deadline. Give the shop or production contact, order reference, packed dimensions and individual weights, with an agreed lawful loading point. Confirm protection and handling. Suitable vehicle availability and receiving access are agreed for the job.

Can your van use Hammersmith Bridge for a Barnes delivery?

The council currently states that the bridge is closed to motor traffic. A van or lorry needs a lawful alternative crossing while that closure applies. Send both postcodes and receiving times so the complete route and a feasible timetable can be assessed.

What should I tell you about an Eel Pie Island delivery?

Give the precise mainland handover point, onward access, load dimensions and weights, handling crew and final placement. Check the council’s specific loading-dispensation requirements and arrange any necessary permission in advance. A delivery booking does not reserve space or provide onward island handling automatically.

Can you move laboratory or studio equipment from Teddington or Twickenham?

We assess the actual contents, packaging, value, packed dimensions, weights, orientation and handling instructions. Give the named site receiver and goods entrance. Any controlled, dangerous or regulated contents require separate assessment before acceptance; local laboratory or studio activity does not establish unrestricted capability or access.

Price, booking and ongoing work

What affects the price of a Richmond upon Thames courier or haulage job?

Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.

What information do you need to book?

Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.

Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?

Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.

Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?

No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
