01 / Same-day & dedicated courier
Greenwich courier.
A direct delivery.
A Greenwich production, unit or venue handover needs a released consignment and the right recipient. We arrange dedicated courier work around packed goods, current site access and fixed receiving times, with onward UK movements assessed for the job.
Production parts, protected equipment, event cases and palletised supplies
Give the precise collecting business, unit, release contact and reference. Send the complete packed dimensions and individual weights, with protection, upright-only or fragile-goods instructions.
Disclose batteries, chemicals or controlled goods before acceptance. A business address or industry description does not establish suitable loading equipment or permission for every consignment.
Stock, project supplies and suitable pallets
Commercial stock, print, equipment cases and suitable pallets can need a dedicated collection or delivery. Include packaging and projections, quantity and individual weights.
Confirm loading staff, forklift or other equipment and receiving arrangements at both ends. Bulky pieces can need more usable room than compact heavy parts. Discuss crew, placement and heavier freight through the haulage guidance.
Ready time, vehicle and receiving deadline
A van collection in Greenwich may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the actual location, goods and suitable vehicle availability. Call for an estimate for your job. Rigids, artics and specialist equipment need a separate availability check.
Confirm when the goods are packed and released, loading staff are ready and the recipient can actually accept them. A visitor opening time or general reception address is not a goods-in appointment.
Local collection and onward UK delivery
For Greenwich, North Greenwich, Charlton, Woolwich and Eltham, send both full addresses, the actual unit and goods entrance. Local transfers and onward UK delivery are assessed against ready time and the recipient's deadline.
The ready time, route and latest receiving time determine whether a same-day movement is achievable. European work also needs goods documents and customs responsibilities agreed. A collection estimate is not a delivery guarantee.
Updates and repeat collections
Our team remains your point of contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the recipient, updates and any signature, photograph or reference requirement when booking.
Scheduled supplier runs, stock transfers and out-of-hours enquiries can also be discussed. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing, vehicle allocation and site access are confirmed for the booking.
02 / General & dedicated haulage
Greenwich haulage.
Planned around the load.
For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.
Dedicated pallet transport
Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.
We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.
Full loads, part loads and repeat work
A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.
Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.
Choose the body as well as the lorry size
Box and curtainsider
A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.
Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift
Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.
Temperature-controlled loads
Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.
Articulated and specialist trailers
Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.
Getting it off matters just as much
Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.
When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.
Timed deliveries and urgent haulage
A booked industrial-unit or venue slot in Charlton or Greenwich, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.
Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.
Local work. Different requirements.
Transport shaped
by Greenwich.
Greenwich combines current communications-equipment production, industrial units and major event and cultural venues. A supplier part, larger assembly and event case can require different loading and receiving arrangements. The named organisations establish local context, not Synergix customer relationships. The transport examples help identify the goods, handling and receiving details needed for an enquiry.
Greenwich production
Subsea communications equipment and supplier freight
Alcatel Submarine Networks identifies Greenwich as one of its existing industrial production facilities. Its recent investment announcement concerns modernisation and expansion, rather than proof that every proposed building is complete.
For ordinary supplier parts or equipment, give packed dimensions, weights, release time and site handover instructions. A larger assembly needs fork access or lifting points and an agreed loading plan, separately from the lorry’s size.
Charlton and borough industrial units
Commercial loads and workshop supplies
The council’s current industrial-unit information identifies yards and estates around Charlton, Greenwich and the eastern borough. A listed property establishes geography, not a particular tenant or loading capability.
Give the collecting business, unit, gate and ready contact. Palletised stock, tools or awkward equipment need individual weights and loading at both ends. Confirm turning space and any forklift or dock arrangement.
North Greenwich peninsula
Arena and event equipment
The O2’s current venue information establishes an active event setting. Technical cases, print and event supplies can require booked load-in, unloading staff and later collection.
Obtain the current organiser instructions, event reference, goods entrance and receiving slot. A visitor car park or show start time is not freight-entry permission. Agree who unloads and keeps empty cases.
Maritime Greenwich venues
Cultural-event and commercial supplies
Royal Museums Greenwich offers commercial venue hire. Suitable display material, protected equipment and event supplies can need a particular building and organiser handover.
Give the actual venue, loading point, packed goods and protection required. Valuable or specialist items need acceptance discussed first. Crew, final placement and any installation are separate arrangements to agree.
Local context: ASN production investment, Greenwich industrial units, Royal Museums Greenwich venues.
↑ Back to guide menuThe last mile matters
Routes, loading
& site access.
Give the lawful unloading point and full approach, not just the postcode. Public road controls, private-site instructions and the physical loading arrangement need separate checks.
Blackwall and Silvertown approaches
The peninsula and cross-river journeys can involve crossings with different vehicle restrictions and charging arrangements. Check current TfL guidance for the actual vehicle and complete load.
Do not select a tunnel from a car map or postcode alone. Height, lawful approach, load characteristics and current traffic can change the route and receiving plan.
Industrial gates and unloading space
A Charlton or Greenwich unit needs its actual goods gate, business name and admission contact confirmed. A property listing does not establish available loading staff or permission to enter.
Supply height, width and turning limits and any dock or forklift details. Check the ground beyond a tail lift and the final movement of a pallet or awkward item. Photos help with a narrow yard.
Venue and cultural-building handovers
Event and cultural venues can have controlled goods access and specific receiving appointments. Obtain current instructions from the organiser or authorised site team.
Give the event or building, reference, goods entrance and load-in/collection times. Public visitor directions and opening hours are not a freight booking. Agree handling and any empty-case return.
Signed loading and London requirements
Check the current signs and legal unloading place on the actual street. London charging, HGV requirements and an individual site’s access procedure are separate checks.
Have the goods and recipient ready and include loading time in the deadline. Tell us about changed gates, closures or delayed release before an unsuitable vehicle or missed slot causes a problem.
Check TfL road charging and the receiving site’s current instructions for the job. A delivery appointment does not remove public road restrictions.

What affects the price?
Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.
For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Greenwich mileage price that fits every load.
What happens if something changes?
Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.
An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book
Greenwich transport
questions answered.
Courier, timing and delivery
How quickly can you collect in Greenwich?
A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.
Can you deliver from Greenwich elsewhere in the UK today?
It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.
Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?
A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.
Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?
Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.
How will I know the goods have been delivered?
Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.
What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?
Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.
Haulage, vehicles and handling
Do I need a courier or a haulage service?
Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.
Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Greenwich?
Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.
Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?
We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.
How do I choose the right van or lorry?
Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.
Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?
Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.
What if the receiving site has no forklift?
Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.
When must I request an electric pump truck?
Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.
Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?
Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.
Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?
We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.
Greenwich access and local handovers
Can you arrange transport for a Greenwich supplier part or assembly?
We can assess ordinary parts and equipment when you provide packed dimensions, individual weights, release time, site instructions and loading at both ends. A bulky assembly may need a larger aperture, fork access or agreed lifting equipment.
Can a venue delivery use the public entrance at The O2?
Do not assume so. Obtain the event’s current goods-entry instructions, receiving contact and booked slot. Send the packed cases and unloading plan; visitor parking or a show start time does not establish freight access.
Can you collect from Charlton industrial units?
We can assess the actual business and consignment. Give the unit, goods gate, ready contact, packed load and loading equipment. A property or estate name does not prove current occupancy, admission or forklift availability.
Price, booking and ongoing work
What affects the price of a Greenwich courier or haulage job?
Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.
What information do you need to book?
Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.
Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?
Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.
Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?
No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
