01 / Same-day & dedicated courier
City of London courier.
A direct delivery.
A City handover needs the right recipient as well as the right vehicle. We arrange dedicated collections and delivery around release times, building access and the goods, with a direct route between the agreed points.
Documents, protected IT equipment and business-critical supplies
Give the precise collecting business, unit, release contact and reference. Send the complete packed dimensions and individual weights, with protection, upright-only or fragile-goods instructions.
Disclose batteries, chemicals or controlled goods before acceptance. A business address or industry description does not establish suitable loading equipment or permission for every consignment.
Stock, project supplies and suitable pallets
Commercial stock, print, equipment cases and suitable pallets can need a dedicated collection or delivery. Include packaging and projections, quantity and individual weights.
Confirm loading staff, forklift or other equipment and receiving arrangements at both ends. Bulky pieces can need more usable room than compact heavy parts. Discuss crew, placement and heavier freight through the haulage guidance.
Ready time, vehicle and receiving deadline
A van collection in City of London may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the actual location, goods and suitable vehicle availability. Call for an estimate for your job. Rigids, artics and specialist equipment need a separate availability check.
For a multi-occupier building, confirm whose reception or loading team accepts the goods and when. Include security references and goods-lift access. A short local distance is not a guaranteed arrival time.
Local collection and onward UK delivery
For Bank, Moorgate, Bishopsgate, Blackfriars and the Barbican, send both full addresses, the actual unit and goods entrance. Local transfers and onward UK delivery are assessed against ready time and the recipient's deadline.
The ready time, route and latest receiving time determine whether a same-day movement is achievable. European work also needs goods documents and customs responsibilities agreed. A collection estimate is not a delivery guarantee.
Updates and repeat collections
Our team remains your point of contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the recipient, updates and any signature, photograph or reference requirement when booking.
Scheduled supplier runs, stock transfers and out-of-hours enquiries can also be discussed. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing, vehicle allocation and site access are confirmed for the booking.
02 / General & dedicated haulage
City of London haulage.
Planned around the load.
For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.
Dedicated pallet transport
Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.
We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.
Full loads, part loads and repeat work
A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.
Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.
Choose the body as well as the lorry size
Box and curtainsider
A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.
Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift
Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.
Temperature-controlled loads
Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.
Articulated and specialist trailers
Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.
Getting it off matters just as much
Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.
When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.
Timed deliveries and urgent haulage
A booked goods-in slot at a Square Mile commercial building, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.
Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.
Local work. Different requirements.
Transport shaped
by City of London.
The Square Mile is a distinct part of London with concentrated office activity and a compact street network. Receiving arrangements inside commercial buildings can matter as much as the distance travelled. The named organisations establish local context, not Synergix customer relationships. The transport examples help identify the goods, handling and receiving details needed for an enquiry.
Bank and the financial district
Documents and office handovers
The City Corporation supports financial and professional services. Time-sensitive paperwork, meeting supplies and equipment can need a direct transfer to a named recipient.
Confirm the collecting occupier, release contact and receiving floor. Describe any confidentiality, packaging or delivery-evidence requirement before the movement is accepted.
Moorgate and Bishopsgate
IT hardware and protected equipment
Office equipment transfers may involve monitors, servers, peripherals and technical cases. Fragile or valuable goods need their packed dimensions and protection described.
Give individual weights, upright-only requirements and the loading-bay-to-floor route. Agree who handles equipment through security and lifts; a vehicle size alone does not establish suitable crew or placement.
Barbican and City venues
Conference, cultural and event freight
The Barbican offers commercial venue hire alongside its cultural programme. Technical cases, printed material and event supplies can require a specific venue handover.
Obtain the current organiser instructions, goods entrance and slot. Visitor directions and a historic event manual do not establish receiving permission for a new event.
Building services and commercial fit-out
Parts, tools and bulky supplies
A City building’s supplier movement can involve replacement equipment, tools or fit-out material as well as boxed office stock. Vehicle access and loading can differ between nearby buildings.
Provide the site booking reference, packed load, loading plant and goods-lift limits. Identify waste or regulated goods separately; routine transport does not establish acceptance of every material.
Local context: City financial/professional services, City driving guidance, City Bank project.

Routes, loading
& site access.
Give the lawful unloading point and full approach, not just the postcode. Public road controls, private-site instructions and the physical loading arrangement need separate checks.
Bank: timed and permanent restrictions
Current City guidance distinguishes the licensed-taxi trial from rules for general traffic. Delivery vehicles do not gain a general exemption by carrying goods. Permanent closures also affect the approach.
Use the recipient’s lawful goods-entry route and current signs. Do not plan a Bank crossing merely because the destination is on an adjoining street.
Loading location and bay controls
The City’s parking controls and any signed loading restriction need checking at the actual unloading point. A nearby parking place is not automatically a goods bay.
Send the legal unloading location, maximum stay, receiving window and distance to the door. If a bay is suspended or access changes, tell us before dispatch so the plan can be reassessed.
Busy streets and the actual HGV
City guidance highlights dense pedestrian and cycle activity, charging zones and HGV safety requirements. The assigned vehicle and lawful route need their own assessment.
Check the approach, gate, height, turning space and loading position. A booked delivery slot or an emissions-compliant vehicle does not establish every permit or site requirement.
Security, basements and goods lifts
Multi-occupier buildings can have separate security admission and basement receiving. The public front door may be unsuitable for a pallet or bulky technical case.
Give the receiving team, lift aperture and weight limits, thresholds and final point of delivery. Agree handling and crew; a tail lift does not solve steps or an unsuitable lift.
Check TfL road charging and the receiving site’s current instructions for the job. A delivery appointment does not remove public road restrictions.

What affects the price?
Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.
For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single City of London mileage price that fits every load.
What happens if something changes?
Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.
An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book
City of London transport
questions answered.
Courier, timing and delivery
How quickly can you collect in City of London?
A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.
Can you deliver from City of London elsewhere in the UK today?
It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.
Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?
A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.
Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?
Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.
How will I know the goods have been delivered?
Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.
What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?
Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.
Haulage, vehicles and handling
Do I need a courier or a haulage service?
Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.
Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in City of London?
Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.
Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?
We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.
How do I choose the right van or lorry?
Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.
Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?
Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.
What if the receiving site has no forklift?
Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.
When must I request an electric pump truck?
Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.
Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?
Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.
Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?
We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.
City of London access and local handovers
Is the City of London the same as all London?
No. This page concerns the Square Mile and its nearby handovers. For another borough, send the actual postcode or use the London coverage page. We can assess onward UK transport from a City collection.
Can my delivery vehicle use Bank’s taxi route?
The licensed-taxi trial does not create a general delivery-vehicle exemption. Follow the current street restrictions and obtain the lawful approach to the actual goods entrance.
Can you deliver IT equipment to an office floor?
We can assess the movement when you supply the packed equipment, individual weights, security procedure, lift dimensions and final handover point. Extra crew, placement or installation must be agreed rather than assumed.
Price, booking and ongoing work
What affects the price of a City of London courier or haulage job?
Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.
What information do you need to book?
Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.
Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?
Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.
Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?
No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
