01 / Same-day & dedicated courier
Peterborough courier.
A direct delivery.
A missing machine part, maintenance tool or urgent stock transfer needs a vehicle that suits the packed goods and a recipient who can accept them. We arrange dedicated collection and direct delivery between the agreed points, without a parcel-network sorting hub.
Components, tooling and protected parts
Peterborough engine and machinery businesses can generate enquiries for small replacement parts, test equipment and protected assemblies. Supply the exact packed sizes, individual weights and release reference. A small heavy component and a bulky light casing may need different vehicles.
Describe fragile surfaces, projecting packaging and any upright-only or no-stacking requirements. Declare batteries, fluids, chemicals or controlled contents before acceptance. The manufacturer name does not establish suitability.
Business stock and suitable palletised goods
Dedicated enquiries can include print, IT equipment, commercial stock and suitable pallets. Confirm quantity, loaded footprint, height and weight, together with loading staff and equipment at both ends.
For a large assembly, several pallets or a location without a forklift, see the haulage guidance. We can assess the goods, vehicle aperture and handling without you choosing a lorry first.
Collection readiness and the receiving deadline
An engine-factory release, industrial goods-in slot or restricted city-centre loading window can control the handover. Confirm the releasing contact, packing completion and latest receiving time. A general business opening time is not a warehouse appointment.
Call with both addresses and the actual deadline. We confirm a suitable available vehicle and a realistic collection estimate for your job. Specialist bodies and heavier vehicles need their own availability check.
Local collection and onward UK delivery
Collections may be from Eastfield, Fengate, Boongate, Orton, Hampton or other Peterborough business addresses. For Manor Drive or a larger works, give the current unit, business and goods gate. We assess local supplier transfers and onward UK journeys from both exact addresses.
Give the exact unit, goods entrance, release contact and recipient. A public reception or visitor entrance may not be the freight handover point.
Updates, delivery evidence and regular routes
Our team remains your contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the named recipient, signature, photograph or reference requirements when booking.
Scheduled supplier collections, branch transfers, multiple stops and repeat courier routes can be assessed. Phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing and loading at every stop are confirmed for the booking.
02 / General & dedicated haulage
Peterborough haulage.
Planned around the load.
For dedicated pallet transport, machinery components, warehouse stock or regular supplier freight, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.
Dedicated pallet transport
Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.
We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.
Full loads, part loads and repeat work
A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.
Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.
Choose the body as well as the lorry size
Box and curtainsider
A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.
Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift
Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.
Temperature-controlled loads
Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.
Articulated and specialist trailers
Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.
Getting it off matters just as much
Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.
When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.
Timed deliveries and urgent haulage
A booked warehouse slot at Gateway Peterborough, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.
Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.
Local work. Different requirements.
Transport shaped
by Peterborough.
Engine manufacture, food-processing machinery and established warehouse locations give Peterborough a varied transport setting. Match the packing and handling to the actual goods, then confirm the factory, tenant or goods-in department that will release and receive them.
Perkins, Eastfield
Engine manufacture and supplier parts
Perkins identifies its Peterborough facility as an engine manufacturing and research location. Supplier enquiries can involve tooling, boxed parts, test equipment or protected assemblies, rather than a standard parcel size.
Give the releasing department and reference, packed weight and footprint, fork access or lifting information where relevant. An engine containing fluids or other regulated contents needs those details declared before assessment.
Baker Perkins / Coperion
Food-processing equipment and maintenance
Baker Perkins describes food-processing machinery and lists its current Peterborough address at Manor Drive, Paston Parkway. Parts, fabricated pieces and machine assemblies need an appropriate body and loading method.
Send the packed dimensions, individual weights, protection and handling instructions. Stainless surfaces, awkward projections and high centres of gravity matter. Confirm the actual goods entrance rather than using a historical works address.
Gateway Peterborough
Warehouse stock and scheduled distribution
Current Gateway Peterborough property information identifies established logistics space beside A1(M) junction 17. A warehouse transfer can involve a timed dock, trailer or rigid access and multiple loaded pallets.
Confirm the current tenant, unit, goods-in reference and booked slot. Agree body type, side or rear loading, individual weights and unloading equipment. A property brochure is not a receiving manual or Synergix storage location.
Town businesses and projects
Commercial supplies and fit-out loads
Peterborough business enquiries also include office equipment, retail stock and building supplies. Each consignment needs its actual footprint and unloading plan, especially where a delivery moves beyond the goods-in point.
For furniture or bulky fittings, identify stairs, lifts, apertures and final placement. Two-person handling, extra labour and returns must be agreed. The ordinary road booking does not automatically include installation.
Named organisations describe the local economy. They are not claims of Synergix customers, clearances or site approval.

Routes, loading
& site access.
Peterborough connects with the A1/A1(M), A47, A605 and Parkway roads. The final gate, city-centre controls and loading position still determine whether the assigned vehicle can complete the job.
A1 connections and industrial approaches
Use the exact site and goods gate to plan the approach from the A1/A1(M), A47 or A605. Fengate, Eastfield, Orton and Gateway Peterborough are different receiving locations, with different final streets and yard arrangements.
Share known height or weight restrictions, gate clearance and turning space. A Parkway connection or car route does not establish an HGV-safe final mile. Check current conditions and signs for the complete approach.
City-centre pedestrian zones
The council describes controlled access at Long Causeway and Westgate, with specified loading exemptions and different entry directions. It also identifies no-entry and turning restrictions around Park Road, Fitzwilliam Street and Lincoln Road.
Do not drive through a restricted entrance because the destination is a shop. Confirm the lawful goods-entry route and current permitted loading time with the receiver. Check Peterborough city-centre access guidance before a timed booking.
Factory and warehouse slots
For an Eastfield works, Manor Drive business or Gateway warehouse, provide the operating business, unit, goods gate, reference and current appointment. Public reception and visitor parking may serve a different entrance.
Confirm advance driver details, security, PPE and loading equipment. A delayed release can affect a fixed receiving slot. Send the actual load and loading sequence, particularly for multiple stops or mixed pallet sizes.
Surrounding settlements and final placement
Whittlesey, Yaxley, Eye, Alwalton and surrounding sites need their own full addresses and access checks. Rural yards can have narrow approaches, limited turning and unsuitable surfaces for pallet trucks.
Describe the unloading ground, stairs and doorway clearances. A tail lift alone does not move freight across gravel or into a room. Check official major-road conditions and report changed access instructions before dispatch.

What affects the price?
Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.
For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Peterborough mileage price that fits every load.
What happens if something changes?
Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.
An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Peterborough transport
questions answered.
Courier, timing and delivery
How quickly can you collect in Peterborough?
A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.
Can you deliver from Peterborough to London on the same day?
It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.
Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?
A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.
Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?
Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.
How will I know the goods have been delivered?
Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.
What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?
Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.
Haulage, vehicles and handling
Do I need a courier or a haulage service?
Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.
Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Peterborough?
Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.
Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?
We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.
How do I choose the right van or lorry?
Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.
Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?
Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.
What if the receiving site has no forklift?
Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.
When must I request an electric pump truck?
Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.
Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?
Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.
Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?
We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.
Peterborough access and local handovers
Can you assess an urgent engine or machine component?
Yes. Send its complete packed dimensions, individual weight, release time and deadline, with fluid, battery or other regulated contents declared. Agree protection, restraint and loading at both ends. A manufacturer or part number alone does not establish vehicle suitability.
Can you collect from Gateway Peterborough?
Suitable collections can be assessed. Give the current tenant, unit, goods-in gate, release reference and booked slot. Confirm the body, loading method and receiving deadline. A logistics-park postcode is not a complete warehouse instruction.
Can a courier enter the city-centre pedestrian zone?
Only where the vehicle, purpose, approach and time satisfy the actual rules. Long Causeway and Westgate have specific arrangements, alongside separate turning and no-entry controls. Check current council guidance and the receiver's lawful loading plan before booking.
Can you arrange bulky goods with a two-person crew?
We assess agreed two-person handling. Supply packed dimensions and weights, stairs, lift and doorway details, unloading ground and the requested final position. Additional placement or installation needs specific agreement before booking.
Price, booking and ongoing work
What affects the price of a Peterborough courier or haulage job?
Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.
What information do you need to book?
Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.
Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?
Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.
Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?
No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
