Your load.
The right vehicle.

Browse the van, rigid, articulated and specialist options, then open a vehicle guide for dimensions, body types and loading advice. You can ask for a particular vehicle or let us work from your load details.

Vehicle illustrations show example bodies. We confirm the actual vehicle, usable space, payload and equipment for your booking. Specialist configurations are subject to suitability and availability.

01 / Same-day & dedicated courier

Luton courier.
A direct delivery.

Luton combines airport-related businesses, advanced electronics, commercial estates and town-centre services. Each enquiry needs the actual goods, packing and releasing contact, rather than a broad industry label. Dedicated courier movements travel between agreed points without a parcel-network sorting hub.

Urgent parts and business equipment

Protected instruments, tools, print, IT equipment and suitable supplier parts can require a dedicated vehicle. At Capability Green, Butterfield or an airport-area unit, specify the current business, exact building and goods entrance. Fragile finishes and electronics need packaging, orientation and handling agreed.

Give the exact business, unit, release reference and named recipient. Include complete packed dimensions, individual weights and protection, orientation or no-stacking instructions. Declare batteries, chemicals, fluids and controlled contents before acceptance.

Commercial stock and suitable pallets

Dedicated enquiries can include boxed stock, print, IT equipment and suitable pallets. Include the loaded footprint, overhang, height, quantity and individual weights. A floor-space fit does not establish door clearance, payload or safe loading.

For a heavy assembly, several pallets or a location without a forklift, describe handling at both ends. Our haulage guidance explains larger bodies and equipment. You can ask us to assess the goods without choosing a lorry first.

Collection readiness and the receiving deadline

Confirm when the goods are packed, cleared for release and ready for loading, then identify the recipient's latest acceptance time and any slot. A factory, campus or venue opening time is not automatically freight receiving permission. Tell us about any change before dispatch.

Call with both addresses and the actual deadline. We confirm a suitable available vehicle and a realistic collection estimate for your job. Specialist bodies and heavier vehicles need their own availability check.

Local collection and onward UK delivery

Collections can be assessed across central Luton, Leagrave, Sundon Park, Capability Green and airport-area premises. Dunstable and neighbouring Bedfordshire addresses should be identified separately. A passenger terminal, cargo agent and commercial office have different receiving arrangements.

Give the exact unit, goods entrance, release contact and recipient. A public reception or visitor entrance may not be the freight handover point.

Updates, delivery evidence and regular routes

Our team remains your contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the named recipient, signature, photograph or reference requirements when booking.

Scheduled supplier collections, branch transfers, multiple stops and repeat courier routes can be assessed. Phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing and loading at every stop are confirmed for the booking.

02 / General & dedicated haulage

Luton haulage.
Planned around the load.

For dedicated pallet transport, protected equipment, commercial stock or regular supplier loads, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.

Dedicated pallet transport

Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.

We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.

Full loads, part loads and repeat work

A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.

Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.

Choose the body as well as the lorry size

Box and curtainsider

A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.

Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift

Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.

Temperature-controlled loads

Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.

Articulated and specialist trailers

Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.

Getting it off matters just as much

Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.

When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.

Read our tail-lift and pallet-truck guidance.

Timed deliveries and urgent haulage

A booked goods-in slot at a Luton commercial unit, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.

Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.

Local work. Different requirements.

Transport shaped
by Luton.

Luton combines airport-related businesses, advanced electronics, commercial estates and town-centre services. Each enquiry needs the actual goods, packing and releasing contact, rather than a broad industry label. Dedicated courier movements travel between agreed points without a parcel-network sorting hub. The following local examples help identify the goods, packing and receiving information needed for an enquiry.

Capability Green context

Electronics and engineering suppliers

Current government evidence identifies Leonardo activity in Luton supporting advanced radar programmes. This supports a local engineering and electronics context, without implying that every consignment is a defence shipment.

For suitable supplier equipment, tools or protected instruments, give packed sizes, individual weights, handling and receiving references. Declare controlled contents and security requirements. A manufacturer location does not establish Synergix clearance or a customer relationship.

Distinct airport handovers

Airport cargo and landside businesses

London Luton Airport identifies a Cargo Centre on President Way and separate freight-forwarding businesses around the airport. A consignment may have a specific releasing agent, reference and landside handover.

Obtain current agent instructions, release status and latest receiving time. State batteries, chemicals, temperature needs or controlled goods before acceptance. Airside access, screening, customs work and airport permissions are not automatic.

Commercial receiving points

Commercial units and business equipment

Butterfield and established Luton business areas can involve office supplies, boxed stock, workshop tools or suitable pallets. Provide the exact operating business and unit, since a park address alone does not identify goods-in.

Confirm rear or side loading, forklifts or other unloading equipment, safe standing space and the recipient. For bulky equipment, give its complete packed footprint, height and individual weight. Installation and final placement require agreement.

Current site status matters

Retail and changing employment sites

Town-centre shops, hospitality businesses and venues can need timed stock, print or event equipment. The former Vauxhall factory on Kimpton Road is a redevelopment site, rather than a current van-production destination.

The developer reports outline consent and demolition work, with future occupation anticipated later. For any site enquiry, identify the current contractor, permission and gate. Do not rely on an old factory name or future development plan as current receiving instructions.

Named organisations describe the local economy. They are not claims of Synergix customers, clearances or site approval.

The last mile matters

Routes, loading
& site access.

Luton connects to the M1, with distinct town, airport and commercial final approaches. Confirm the complete approach, actual goods gate and unloading point for the assigned vehicle. A geographic map does not establish HGV access or permission to enter a controlled site.

M1 connections and the final approach

The M1 serves the Luton area, with local approaches depending on the destination. Airport-area roads, Capability Green and northern commercial units have different final routes and goods entrances.

Give current recipient directions, height or weight limits and turning space for the assigned vehicle. Check major-road conditions for the job date. A passenger-car route does not establish HGV access.

Airport freight is a separate handover

President Way cargo premises and the passenger terminal are different destinations. Give the operating agent, actual gate, reference, release time and receiving slot for the consignment.

Agree the current landside instructions before dispatch. Visitor parking directions do not grant freight access. Screening, customs release and controlled-area requirements need specific arrangements with the appropriate operator.

Town-centre parking and loading

Luton Council distinguishes waiting restrictions, loading bans, loading bays and bus-lane controls. A parking payment does not override a loading restriction or grant access through a restricted street.

Use current signs and the council's restriction guidance. Confirm a lawful unloading point with the recipient, including any timed access and a safe route to the building.

Commercial yards and redevelopment access

Check gate width, bay height, surface and turning space at the exact unit. At a changing construction or redevelopment site, obtain the current contractor's goods entrance and receiving permission.

Describe slopes, kerbs, steps and the final placement. A tail lift does not move a pallet over unsuitable ground or through a narrow door. Additional crew and unloading equipment must be agreed before booking.

A useful enquiry. A clearer quote.

Tell us the job.
We will help plan it.

  1. The two addressesCollection and delivery postcodes, company/unit names, goods entrances and a contact at each end.
  2. What needs movingGoods description, item or pallet count, packaged dimensions, total and individual weights, stackability and photographs where useful.
  3. When it is readyDate, ready time, latest arrival, goods-in closing time and any booked slot or reference. Identify fixed deadlines.
  4. How it will be handledForklift, dock, tail lift, pallet truck, crane or crew at both ends. Include surface, aperture and vehicle-access limits.
  5. Any special requirementFragile finish, temperature, regulated goods, multiple stops, returnable packaging, returns or agreed final placement.
  6. Updates and repeat workYour preferred contact, delivery evidence and, for regular transport, frequency, expected volumes and seasonal peaks.

What affects the price?

Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.

For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Luton mileage price that fits every load.

What happens if something changes?

Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.

An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book

Luton transport
questions answered.

Courier, timing and delivery

How quickly can you collect in Luton?

A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.

Can you deliver from Luton to London on the same day?

It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.

Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?

A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.

Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?

Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.

How will I know the goods have been delivered?

Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.

What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?

Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.

Haulage, vehicles and handling

Do I need a courier or a haulage service?

Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.

Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Luton?

Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.

Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?

We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.

How do I choose the right van or lorry?

Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.

Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?

Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.

Open LoadCheck

What if the receiving site has no forklift?

Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.

When must I request an electric pump truck?

Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.

Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?

Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.

Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?

We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.

Luton access and local handovers

Can you collect from London Luton Airport cargo premises?

Suitable landside collections can be assessed. Give the cargo agent, exact goods gate, releasing reference and confirmed ready time, with all relevant cargo details. Airside permission, customs release and screening are separate requirements rather than an automatic part of a road booking.

Can you transport protected electronics from Luton?

We assess suitable packed equipment and parts. Provide complete dimensions and individual weights, protection, orientation and receiving instructions. Declare controlled contents or security requirements before acceptance. Local electronics activity does not establish clearance or a manufacturer relationship.

Is the former Vauxhall factory still a production collection point?

The former Kimpton Road factory is being redeveloped. For any collection or delivery there, provide the current operating business or contractor, authorised gate, reference and receiving contact. Old production-site details and future tenant plans are not current goods-in instructions.

Can you deliver to a town-centre shop with a timed slot?

We assess the load, deadline and lawful unloading point. Confirm current loading restrictions, service entrance, stairs or doorway limits and any required placement. Agree additional handling and crew before booking; a nearby parking bay does not establish permission to unload.

Price, booking and ongoing work

What affects the price of a Luton courier or haulage job?

Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.

What information do you need to book?

Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.

Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?

Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.

Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?

No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
