Your load.
The right vehicle.

Browse the van, rigid, articulated and specialist options, then open a vehicle guide for dimensions, body types and loading advice. You can ask for a particular vehicle or let us work from your load details.

Vehicle illustrations show example bodies. We confirm the actual vehicle, usable space, payload and equipment for your booking. Specialist configurations are subject to suitability and availability.

01 / Same-day & dedicated courier

Grays courier.
A direct delivery.

Grays combines town-centre commerce with industrial receiving and nearby West Thurrock manufacturing and distribution. Port-related goods may be released at a separate warehouse or terminal. Dedicated courier movements need the exact handover and travel between agreed points without parcel-network sorting.

Urgent parts and business equipment

Tools, protected instruments, IT cases, print and commercial stock can require a dedicated vehicle. At a Globe Industrial Estate unit or a nearby West Thurrock supplier, give the current business, release reference and actual goods entrance. Include packed sizes, individual weights and protection.

Give the exact business, unit, release reference and named recipient. Include complete packed dimensions, individual weights and protection, orientation or no-stacking instructions. Declare batteries, chemicals, fluids and controlled contents before acceptance.

Commercial stock and suitable pallets

Dedicated enquiries can include boxed stock, print, IT equipment and suitable pallets. Include the loaded footprint, overhang, height, quantity and individual weights. A floor-space fit does not establish door clearance, payload or safe loading.

For a heavy assembly, several pallets or a location without a forklift, describe handling at both ends. Our haulage guidance explains larger bodies and equipment. You can ask us to assess the goods without choosing a lorry first.

Collection readiness and the receiving deadline

Confirm when the goods are packed, cleared for release and ready for loading, then identify the recipient's latest acceptance time and any slot. A factory, campus or venue opening time is not automatically freight receiving permission. Tell us about any change before dispatch.

Call with both addresses and the actual deadline. We confirm a suitable available vehicle and a realistic collection estimate for your job. Specialist bodies and heavier vehicles need their own availability check.

Local collection and onward UK delivery

Collections can be assessed across Grays, Little Thurrock, Chafford Hundred and surrounding commercial addresses, with West Thurrock, Tilbury and Purfleet receiving identified precisely. London Gateway is a separate Stanford-le-Hope-area destination. A broad Thurrock description does not identify a single goods gate.

Give the exact unit, goods entrance, release contact and recipient. A public reception or visitor entrance may not be the freight handover point.

Updates, delivery evidence and regular routes

Our team remains your contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the named recipient, signature, photograph or reference requirements when booking.

Scheduled supplier collections, branch transfers, multiple stops and repeat courier routes can be assessed. Phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing and loading at every stop are confirmed for the booking.

02 / General & dedicated haulage

Grays haulage.
Planned around the load.

For dedicated pallet transport, released commercial stock, protected equipment or regular warehouse loads, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.

Dedicated pallet transport

Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.

We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.

Full loads, part loads and repeat work

A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.

Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.

Choose the body as well as the lorry size

Box and curtainsider

A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.

Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift

Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.

Temperature-controlled loads

Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.

Articulated and specialist trailers

Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.

Getting it off matters just as much

Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.

When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.

Read our tail-lift and pallet-truck guidance.

Timed deliveries and urgent haulage

A booked goods-in slot at a Grays commercial unit, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.

Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.

Local work. Different requirements.

Transport shaped
by Grays.

Grays combines town-centre commerce with industrial receiving and nearby West Thurrock manufacturing and distribution. Port-related goods may be released at a separate warehouse or terminal. Dedicated courier movements need the exact handover and travel between agreed points without parcel-network sorting. The following local examples help identify the goods, packing and receiving information needed for an enquiry.

Current operating units

Industrial and warehouse receiving

Current local warehousing evidence identifies Globe Industrial Estate in Grays as a commercial receiving area. Individual units may release boxed stock, crated equipment or suitable pallets for onward transport.

Confirm the actual business, unit, release status, piece count and loading facilities. Goods taken out of a container need their packed dimensions and weights assessed separately. Storage, unloading and onward road transport are different requirements to agree.

Location and contents matter

Nearby West Thurrock manufacture

P&G identifies its London Plant on Hedley Avenue in West Thurrock, with current manufacturing activity. This is a precise nearby industrial location, rather than a factory assumed to be in central Grays.

Suitable ordinary supplier parts, tools and packed equipment can be assessed. Declare chemicals, fluids, batteries and any controlled contents before acceptance. Give the current goods entrance, reference and protection. Manufacturer activity is not a Synergix customer or site-approval claim.

Town and nearby retail

Retail and commercial stock

Grays businesses and nearby Lakeside retail premises can need stock, fixtures, print or IT equipment at an agreed time. A customer entrance and a retail service yard have different access arrangements.

Give the store or business, service entrance, recipient and slot. Describe stairs, lifts, door widths and final placement. Extra crew, installation and packaging returns need agreement. Public shopping hours are not necessarily goods-in hours.

Separate release and movement

Released freight and port-area suppliers

Nearby Tilbury and the wider Thurrock logistics corridor create distinct warehouse and terminal handovers. Suitable packed goods may be ready for onward road delivery after the responsible operator has released them.

Supply the releasing business, exact gate or warehouse, reference and actual ready time. Declare contents, dimensions and weights. Port entry, customs release, container transport and unloading are not inferred from a courier enquiry.

Named organisations describe the local economy. They are not claims of Synergix customers, clearances or site approval.

The last mile matters

Routes, loading
& site access.

Grays connects through the A13 and M25, with current Dartford conditions relevant to some onward journeys. Confirm the complete approach, actual goods gate and unloading point for the assigned vehicle. A geographic map does not establish HGV access or permission to enter a controlled site.

A13, M25 and Dartford approaches

Grays-area jobs connect through the A13 and M25, with the Dartford approaches relevant for some Kent journeys. Traffic conditions and the recipient's final approach affect the agreed plan.

Obtain current goods directions, bridge/vehicle limits and turning space. Check major-road conditions for the booking date. Do not infer a fixed journey time or an HGV route from a car map.

Town-centre and retail loading

Thurrock Council enforces waiting, parking and loading restrictions. For Grays shops, offices or a nearby retail unit, confirm the lawful service entrance and current receiving slot.

Use current council guidance, signs and recipient instructions. Visitor parking payment does not override a loading ban or grant access to a service yard.

Globe and West Thurrock goods gates

For a Globe Industrial Estate, London Road or West Thurrock unit, identify the current tenant, unit and receiving reference. A main estate entrance or corporate reception may not be goods-in.

Confirm gate width, bay height, safe surface, side or rear loading and equipment at both ends. A tail lift still needs a suitable position and a plan to move the goods horizontally.

Port and warehouse handovers kept separate

For freight associated with Tilbury or London Gateway, establish where the actual goods will be handed over. A Grays warehouse pickup, port terminal visit and whole-container movement have different requirements.

Confirm release status, current operator instructions, authorised access and reference before booking. Describe ground, apertures and final placement. Declare security, hazardous or controlled contents, with additional handling agreed.

A useful enquiry. A clearer quote.

Tell us the job.
We will help plan it.

  1. The two addressesCollection and delivery postcodes, company/unit names, goods entrances and a contact at each end.
  2. What needs movingGoods description, item or pallet count, packaged dimensions, total and individual weights, stackability and photographs where useful.
  3. When it is readyDate, ready time, latest arrival, goods-in closing time and any booked slot or reference. Identify fixed deadlines.
  4. How it will be handledForklift, dock, tail lift, pallet truck, crane or crew at both ends. Include surface, aperture and vehicle-access limits.
  5. Any special requirementFragile finish, temperature, regulated goods, multiple stops, returnable packaging, returns or agreed final placement.
  6. Updates and repeat workYour preferred contact, delivery evidence and, for regular transport, frequency, expected volumes and seasonal peaks.

What affects the price?

Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.

For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Grays mileage price that fits every load.

What happens if something changes?

Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.

An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book

Grays transport
questions answered.

Courier, timing and delivery

How quickly can you collect in Grays?

A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.

Can you deliver from Grays to London on the same day?

It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.

Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?

A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.

Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?

Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.

How will I know the goods have been delivered?

Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.

What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?

Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.

Haulage, vehicles and handling

Do I need a courier or a haulage service?

Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.

Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Grays?

Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.

Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?

We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.

How do I choose the right van or lorry?

Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.

Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?

Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.

Open LoadCheck

What if the receiving site has no forklift?

Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.

When must I request an electric pump truck?

Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.

Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?

Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.

Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?

We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.

Grays access and local handovers

Can you collect goods released at a Grays warehouse?

Suitable packed goods can be assessed once the releasing business confirms readiness. Give the warehouse, unit, reference, piece count, full packed sizes and weights. Agree loading equipment and the destination slot. A container's description does not identify the unpacked road load.

Can you deliver stock to a Lakeside retail unit?

We assess the load, deadline and receiving arrangements. Give the actual retailer, current service-yard entrance, slot and contact. Describe building access and final placement, with extra crew or handling agreed. Visitor opening hours and parking are separate from goods-in.

Can you collect ordinary parts from West Thurrock manufacturing sites?

Suitable packed parts, tools and equipment can be assessed. Supply the exact site, authorised goods entrance and reference, full dimensions and weights. Declare chemicals, batteries, controlled contents and security requirements before acceptance. A nearby manufacturer does not establish Synergix approval.

How does Dartford congestion affect a Grays enquiry?

Give the exact ready time and latest acceptance time. We assess the current journey and confirm realistic timing and vehicle availability for the job. Share changed slots before dispatch; no map or nearby motorway guarantees a same-day finish regardless of the deadline.

Price, booking and ongoing work

What affects the price of a Grays courier or haulage job?

Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.

What information do you need to book?

Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.

Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?

Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.

Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?

No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
