Static fridges and partner cold storage.

Temperature-controlled storage

Temperature-controlled storage through static refrigerated units and cold-storage partners. We provide refrigerated trailers for suitable on-site holding and arrange cold storage with our partners. Share your stock, required conditions, quantity and duration so the actual equipment or facility and responsibilities can be agreed.

What Synergix provides

Cold holding at your site or with a storage partner.

Synergix offers static refrigerated storage and arranges outsourced cold storage through our partners. The right arrangement depends on where the stock needs to be, how it is accessed and the conditions it requires. Our general Northampton warehouse is separate from this offer: ordinary warehouse holding is not represented as a chilled or frozen facility.

The details which change the job

Types of stock and storage needs.

The practical guide below explains the details for each requirement.

  • Event and catering stock
  • Business stock needing a cold facility
  • Sensitive packaged products
  • Regulated and specialist goods

Static refrigerated holding

For festivals, bars, catering and other suitable temporary requirements, we deliver and position a refrigerated trailer, leave it for the agreed hire period and collect it afterwards. This keeps suitable stock at the site where it is needed. Confirm goods, required conditions, unit capacity, stock access, power or fuel and operating duties before hire.

Cold storage through our partners

Where stock needs a cold-storage facility rather than a trailer at your site, we arrange storage through our partners. This can support suitable business stock held before an agreed release. We confirm the proposed facility, accepted goods, conditions, duration, receipt/release process and any transport required. Partner storage is not described as a Synergix-owned cold-store estate.

The wider Synergix fleet

All vehicles. The right equipment for your job.

Our wider fleet supports different transport and unloading requirements. This overview is not a promise that every configuration performs this service. We match the actual vehicle, body, usable capacity and equipment to the load and receiving site.

Match the handling to the job

A HIAB is a loader crane for an assessed lift or placement. A MOFFETT carries an unloading forklift for suitable loads at sites without receiving equipment. Standard-body dimensions and payload do not apply automatically to fitted equipment or refrigerated configurations. Confirm the actual load, ground, access and handling arrangements.

Our booking rule: when pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. Check the actual equipment and lift/platform capacity, surface, gradient, distance and access. Lower weights can also need powered handling.

How the work happens

From the product brief to the final handover.

The agreed booking identifies the actual unit or partner facility and who is responsible at each stage.

  1. Send the requirement

Provide products, instructions, quantities, packed sizes/weights, required conditions, dates, location and stock-access or release pattern. Declare special approval and record requirements.

  2. Confirm the arrangement

Agree static unit or partner facility, suitability, capacity, conditions, access, price and terms. Confirm checking, monitoring and operating responsibilities before sending stock.

  3. Prepare and hand over

For static hire, plan delivery, positioning and the agreed operating handover. For partner holding, book receipt, product condition and identification checks. Refer discrepancies to the named decision-maker.

  4. Hold under the agreed plan

Follow the accepted operating and stock-control arrangement. Use the agreed contact and response procedure for condition concerns, supply problems, changed duration or release requirements. Do not assume automatic alerts or continuous staffed support.

  5. Release or collect

Authorise the correct stock, maintain the agreed conditions through handover and confirm any required records. Static hire also needs a planned stock-clearance and collection arrangement. Suitable refrigerated transport can be booked separately.

Stock and condition records

Agree what is recorded, where the goods are held.

Cold storage needs a clear stock handover as well as suitable conditions. Identification, counts and authorised release must be agreed for the chosen arrangement. Product-condition evidence is a separate requirement.

At a partner facility

Confirm the partner's receipt and identification method, checking unit, location/release information and any updates or reports required. Agree the contact for discrepancies and who can authorise goods leaving. Do not assume the partner uses our own warehouse system or provides a customer portal.

In a static refrigerated unit

Agree who receives and loads stock, controls access, records quantities and checks conditions during the hire. Equipment hire does not automatically include staffed stock management or routine picking. Make any additional service and handover record explicit.

Our Northampton warehouse records

Where goods are received into our Northampton warehouse, incoming stock units receive individual labels or barcodes and assigned locations in our warehouse management system (WMS). That confirmed identity process is not evidence of chilled conditions, temperature monitoring or a validated cold chain.

Agree the important details

What changes the arrangement.

A useful quote starts with the constraints, not just a product name or vehicle size.

01

Specify the evidence

If you need logs, calibrated readings, alarms, excursion handling or a particular report, state that before booking. These features must be confirmed; they are not implied by the phrase temperature-controlled.

02

Control the handovers

Explain arrival condition, unloading time, who checks acceptance and how release will maintain the required conditions. A storage arrangement must cover the stock handover, not just the time inside a unit.

03

Distinguish stock records from temperature records

Our Northampton warehouse identification uses individual labels or barcodes and assigned locations. Partner-facility records and static-unit stock control are agreed separately. None of these stock records alone establishes temperature monitoring or product quality.

First time arranging cold storage?

Find the product specification

Use the product label, supplier data sheet or manufacturer's storage instructions. Send the required conditions and any permitted time outside them. If these are unknown, ask the supplier and tell us what is missing. An equipment setpoint alone is not a complete product-storage specification.

Describe the stock and access pattern

Give pallet/carton/item counts, packed dimensions and gross weights, initial condition, shelf life and arrival/release dates. Explain whether the load is ready for storage or needs another process. For on-site use, tell us how often doors will open and who will collect stock; for partner storage, describe full-unit releases or smaller picks.

Agree the operating plan

For static units, share the site layout, standing area, access route and available supply information. For partner storage, agree booked receipt/release, authorised contacts and required checks. Identify who operates the equipment, checks conditions and handles any problem. Logs, alarms and emergency cover need a confirmed scope.

A trailer beside the bar or stock held off site?

For example, a bar needing regular access to drinks throughout a festival has a different requirement from a supplier holding packaged stock until a future release date. The first brief includes the trailer position and stock-access routine; the second includes the partner facility, receipt unit and release instructions. Both need the actual product conditions, but neither should be quoted as an unspecified cold space.

Practical detail for each requirement

Event and catering stock

Static refrigerated trailers support suitable on-site stock such as drinks, kegs and other accepted temperature-sensitive supplies. Tell us what arrives, its starting condition and required storage conditions, the busiest stock-access periods and how staff will reach the unit. Suitability is checked for the actual products.

Business stock needing a cold facility

Food and drink businesses, suppliers and other stock owners can discuss partner cold storage when goods need holding away from their premises. Give product and packaging details, quantities, shelf life, required conditions and expected receipt/release pattern. Chilled, frozen and other requirements are not interchangeable.

Sensitive packaged products

Use the manufacturer's storage instructions, including temperature and any separate humidity, light or orientation needs. A refrigerated trailer does not automatically satisfy controlled humidity or specialist conservation requirements. We check whether the proposed unit or partner facility meets the actual brief.

Regulated and specialist goods

State any required approvals, handling procedure, records and release controls at the outset. Medical, pharmaceutical, hazardous or high-value goods need explicit review and acceptance. Refrigerated transport experience alone does not establish a facility's approval for storing those goods.

Why Synergix?

Storage options backed by practical transport experience.

Discuss the stockholding and its next move with a team that understands both event refrigeration and wider logistics.

A choice beyond ordinary holding

Static refrigeration and partner cold storage provide two distinct options. We establish the proposed arrangement before booking rather than treat a general warehouse as suitable for every temperature-sensitive product.

Established event work

We deliver refrigerated trailers to festivals and leave them on site for agreed periods, supporting drinks, kegs and suitable event stock. Access and positioning are part of the planning, not an afterthought once the site is busy.

Support for the connected movement

Suitable refrigerated collection and delivery can connect to the storage arrangement. Confirm vehicle specification, product conditions and the required tracking, delivery evidence and transport cover separately from stockholding and hire.

Experience and personal responsibility

Three generations of family transport experience and work for major event operators support practical conversations about timing, access and handovers. Our team helps you compare static hire with partner storage and agree the required equipment, checks and handovers.

A useful brief for a useful quote

Tell us the stock, conditions and location.

Send the product brief and preferred holding arrangement. We will confirm the proposed equipment or partner facility, suitability, scope, availability and price.

Goods and conditions

Product, packaging, quantity, packed sizes/weights, value, starting condition and supplier storage instructions.

Duration and turnover

Arrival/start date, expected end, peak quantity, access frequency and release or replenishment pattern.

Location and access

Static site/standing/access/supply information, or partner-storage receipt/release and transport needs.

Evidence and responsibilities

Counts, records, monitoring, approvals, authorised contacts, operating duties and problem-response requirements.

Email your brief to sales@synergixsameday.com. Confirm acceptance before sending stock.

For buying teams and repeat bookings

Assess the specific offer

Agree the actual unit or partner facility, accepted goods, required conditions and usable capacity. Temperature control and humidity control are different specifications. Confirm any supplier-approval or product-specific evidence before committing stock.

Compare the complete quote

Static hire may involve delivery/positioning/collection, hire duration, supply and operating arrangements. Partner storage may involve space, duration, receipt/release movements, picking and transport. Agree included tasks and how extensions or extra work are charged.

Make records and cover explicit

Declare goods/value and confirm acceptance, terms, security/access and applicable stock cover. Specify counts, condition records and monitoring needs. Insured transport alone does not establish the scope of partner storage or goods left in a hired unit.

Plan regular work

Share forecasts, peaks, product categories, recurring receipt/release dates and a named decision-maker. Discuss purchase-order and supplier-onboarding needs, the records required and review points. Do not assume account terms, accreditation or a fixed service level.

Before you book

Temperature-controlled storage questions.

Practical answers about the service and what to agree.

Do you provide cold storage or only refrigerated transport?

We offer static refrigerated storage and arrange cold storage with our partners. Suitable refrigerated transport is a separate service that can connect to either arrangement. Tell us where the goods need holding, the required conditions and the release or access pattern.

Is the Northampton warehouse itself a cold store?

The general Northampton warehouse is not being presented as a chilled or frozen facility. Cold holding is arranged using suitable static refrigerated units or our cold-storage partners, with the actual equipment or facility confirmed for the booking.

What temperatures can you provide?

Send the product's required conditions. We confirm the range and operating arrangement available for the proposed static unit or partner facility before acceptance. Do not choose a generic chilled or frozen label instead of the product specification, or assume refrigeration also provides humidity control.

Can I load stock that is still warm or needs freezing?

Tell us its actual starting condition and the process required. Do not assume a storage unit will cool, freeze or otherwise process the load to specification. The proposed equipment or partner facility must be expressly suitable for the required task and product before booking.

Can I get temperature logs, alarms or other condition records?

Specify the record, frequency, calibration, alarm or approval requirement at enquiry stage. We confirm what the chosen arrangement provides and who monitors or responds. These features are not implied by a refrigerated unit or a warehouse stock label.

Who looks after stock during static hire?

Agree who receives/loads the goods, controls stock access, operates the unit, checks conditions and handles supply or equipment concerns. Trailer hire does not automatically include a warehouse team, staffed bar-stock service or stock picking. Any added service must be included in the booking.

How will stock held with a partner be identified and released?

Agree the partner receipt/counting method, stock references, required updates and authorised release process. Our own Northampton warehouse uses individual labels or barcodes and assigned locations, but this is not a promise that every partner uses our WMS or provides the same records.

Can evening or weekend access be arranged?

Tell us the times needed. Access to a static unit and release from a partner facility are different arrangements and must be agreed for the booking. Our managed Northampton warehouse access arrangements do not automatically establish a partner's opening hours or unrestricted entry.

Can pharmaceutical, medical or other regulated goods be stored?

The exact goods, required approvals, handling and records must be reviewed and expressly accepted for the proposed arrangement. Neither refrigerated transport experience nor partner storage generally proves a particular pharmaceutical or specialist facility approval.

What affects the price?

The chosen equipment/facility, conditions, stock volume, duration, access, handling and records affect the quote. Static hire also needs delivery/collection and supply responsibilities agreed. Make additional picking, materials, transport and extension requirements clear rather than assume an all-inclusive rate.

How are security and stock cover handled?

Declare the stock, value and risks and agree access, acceptance, terms and applicable cover for the actual static unit or partner facility. Transport insurance does not automatically define warehouse stock or on-site goods cover.

Can you arrange refrigerated transport to or from storage?

Yes, suitable refrigerated movements can be discussed alongside the storage. Provide packed sizes/weights, required product conditions, loading/unloading arrangements, locations and times. Confirm the actual vehicle, handover responsibilities and any records separately.
