The right goods. The right project stage.
Store openings. Refits that keep moving.
Get stock, fixtures and display materials to the store when the project can receive them. Synergix coordinates collections, optional Northampton holding and phased delivery around opening dates, access windows and the people on site. Agree the receiving location, placement and any additional handling or installation support before the vehicle arrives.

Retail project logistics
Keep the delivery plan aligned with the opening plan.
Opening stock, fittings and contractor materials may come from different suppliers and need different receiving arrangements.
New store openings
Get the store supplied in the right order
Plan stock, fixtures and display deliveries against the launch programme. Identify which goods need to arrive first, who receives them and when the stockroom becomes available. The opening date is the final deadline, not the only delivery instruction.
Live-store refits
Work around trading and contractor access
A store that remains open may need phased deliveries and restricted unloading times. Tell us which areas are available, where customers and staff will be working and who controls the receiving point. The delivery plan should fit the space that is actually ready.
Consolidated arrivals
Join supplier collections before site delivery
Suitable goods can be brought into Northampton and held or grouped for agreed release. This can reduce separate supplier arrivals at a tight site. Provide the stock references and project phase, with storage period and handling agreed separately.
Returns and changeovers
Plan what leaves as well as what arrives
Old displays, reusable fixtures, excess stock and packaging need identified destinations. Include the return load in the project brief so collection timing, packing and vehicle space are allowed for.
Goods and practical requirements
Goods and project stages we support.
Packed dimensions and site readiness determine the movement. A component list helps keep each phase complete.
- Opening merchandise
- Counters, fixtures and furniture
- Display and point-of-sale materials
- Shopfitting components
- Phased replacement stock
- Returned fixtures and excess goods
Opening merchandise
Allocate cartons by store or department and distinguish launch stock from reserve replenishment. Give packed sizes, weights and receiving instructions. Stock delivery and putting merchandise on display are separate tasks unless agreed.
Counters, fixtures and furniture
Provide dimensions, individual weights, finish protection and the carrying route. Long counters or heavy units may need a handling team or mechanical equipment. Team size alone does not establish a suitable lift.
Display and point-of-sale materials
Identify complete sets, fragile panels, printed finishes and the store or phase each belongs to. Transport can be coordinated with the team building the display. Assembly, fixing and installation need a defined scope.
Shopfitting components
Keep components grouped and labelled against the supplier list. Identify long, sharp, fragile or non-stackable pieces and any orientation requirements. Tell us whether the receiving contractor has unloading equipment.
Phased replacement stock
Separate what is needed now from what can wait for the next phase. Record which instruction controls the release so a delayed site stage does not result in stock arriving before there is room for it.
Returned fixtures and excess goods
Identify reuse, return-to-supplier and waste streams separately. Confirm condition and packing before collection. Product testing, disposal and making items safe for removal are separate responsibilities to agree.

Plan the load and the unloading together
These are body-specific planning guides. Door openings, wheel arches, curtainsider bodies and carried equipment change usable space and payload. For a MOFFETT delivery, confirm load weight and centre of gravity, fork access, suitable ground and the placement area. A carried forklift is different from a HIAB crane or a tail lift.
Use LoadCheck for an initial space estimate, or send the packed dimensions, weights and store access details to our team. Where pallet-truck handling is needed for a loaded pallet of 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. Lighter pallets can also need powered handling where the surface, gradient or carrying distance makes manual movement unsuitable. Actual platform capacity, ground and the unloading route still need checking.
How the service works
Make each delivery fit the project programme.
From supplier to site stage
A clear brief for every phase.
Use the project programme to agree who releases, receives and accepts each movement.
- List the goods
Supplier, reference, packed quantity, dimensions and weight for each phase.
- Confirm readiness
Check collection availability, store access and the site receiving team.
- Release to plan
Dispatch the agreed allocation in the sequence the project needs.
- Confirm and collect
Record delivery, identify exceptions and collect the declared return goods.
Define the work on site
Transport, placement and installation need a clear finish point.
Tell us what a completed job means for your store project.
Delivery and placement
Agree where the goods need to go
State whether the job finishes at the loading bay, stockroom or a particular position in store. Include doors, lifts, stairs, surfaces and carrying distances, with photographs where helpful. We confirm the handling method and people required.
Additional project support
Book the actual build or installation task
Two-person handling, assembly or product installation can be discussed where relevant. Provide the product instructions, components, tools or fixings required and the on-site responsibilities. A transport booking does not automatically include building work, electrical connection or technical commissioning.
Out-of-hours access
Use the available project window
Night and early-morning deliveries can be arranged around the store and site permissions. Keyholding arrangements or an attending contractor must be agreed, together with loading restrictions and a contact who can make decisions.
Changes to the project
Keep release instructions current
If a phase slips or a supplier is late, tell the team before dispatch. We can review holding, sequencing and delivery arrangements. Revised storage, waiting or extra movements are included in the agreed commercial scope.
A practical starting point
Booking this service for the first time.
Use the information your warehouse, supplier and receiving team already hold. You can start a discussion before every detail is final, provided estimates and missing information are clear.
Separate the key dates
Opening day and receiving slots are different
Send the opening or reopening date, then list the days each stock or fixture delivery can actually be received. Identify work that must happen first, such as floors, doors or contractor access. This helps avoid goods arriving before the store is ready.
Use supplier packing details
Measure fixtures in their travel condition
Ask suppliers for packed dimensions, weights and handling points. Label the store, room or phase for each delivery. Draw attention to glass, display units, long items, goods that cannot be stacked and any specialist unloading requirement.
Name the site contact
Check the route from vehicle to placement
Get the service entrance, parking or yard booking, floor level, lift limits and carrying route from the site manager. State whether the store is trading. Agree what delivery placement includes and what remains with shopfitters or installation contractors.
Work from the programme
Show what is fixed and what may change
A draft programme and supplier list are useful starting points. Mark provisional dates and incomplete load details. Identify who can authorise changes, extra holding, waiting or a revised delivery, so a late site change can be managed against the whole opening plan.
An accountable retail partner
Keep deliveries aligned with the project.
The opening deadline matters, but each load must also arrive when the site is ready to receive it.
Relevant retail work
A service built around the actual operation
Supplier collections, optional Northampton holding and phased delivery can be connected around the project programme, reducing the need to coordinate unrelated transport bookings.
A practical service plan
Match the work to your requirement
The vehicle, unloading method and route to placement are planned against packed fixture sizes and the actual receiving point. Technical installation remains a separately agreed task.
Clear handovers
Keep quantities and responsibilities visible
Delivery evidence confirms the goods handed over at each phase. A named change owner on the retailer or project side helps the team manage revised dates and release instructions.
Insured and visible
Follow the booked movement
Fully insured transport, live tracking, proof-of-delivery records and our customer portal support the booked movement. Declare goods and value so applicable cover can be confirmed. Portal access does not imply automatic stock alerts, item-level checks or an integration.
People behind the plan
Experience and operational support
Three generations of family transport experience support an owner-led business trusted with demanding retail work. Our operations team is available 24/7, with account management arranged around the contract.
An urgent alternative
Help when stock cannot wait
A separately booked dedicated courier movement can support urgent stock, parts or campaign material. UK-wide courier collections are available within 60 minutes for many bookings, subject to location, vehicle and confirmation. This response does not apply automatically to specialist trucks or port collection.
Make the return journey work
Deliver. Collect. Reuse.
Retail logistics can join the outward delivery and the return requirement in one planned operation.
Productive return legs
Bring something useful back
Plan returns, reusable delivery containers and agreed packaging collections into the returning store route. That uses the journey for more than the outward stock delivery and can reduce separate collection trips, fuel use and associated CO₂ emissions.
Reuse and recycling
Keep materials in the loop
In our established retail operation, collected clear garment plastic and cardboard are recycled through a partner, with records retained. Reusable delivery containers return for the next cycle. Agree materials, separation and collection quantities for your own programme.
Plan the service and price
Tell us how your stores work.
Send the project schedule and goods list, including who receives each phase and what must happen on site.
- Dates and phasesOpening or reopening date, delivery windows and the sequence of work.
- Goods scheduleSupplier references, quantities, dimensions, weights and declared value.
- Collection readinessLocations, available dates, loading contacts and equipment.
- Site receivingStore entrance, contractor or store contact, booking and unloading space.
- Placement and handlingFinal location, carrying route, stairs, lifts and protection requirements.
- Additional tasksAny assembly, installation or two-person requirement, with instructions and responsibilities.
- Holding and returnsStock to hold, duration, return goods, condition and destination.
- Control and completionWho approves releases and changes, and what the delivery or task report must show.
A tariff that fits the operation
The project quote reflects collection points, phases, vehicles, delivery windows, holding, handling and return movements. Placement, assembly and installation are identified separately so the service matches the finish point you need. Changes to site readiness, waiting or extra visits can affect the agreed price.
For retail transport and purchasing teams
Assess the service behind the rate.
Use a clear operating brief to compare the service and agree responsibility, records and commercial arrangements before work starts.
Responsibility map
Separate transport, placement and installation
Define loading, unloading, carrying and stock or fixture placement at each phase. Identify tasks retained by the site manager, shopfitter or installer. Confirm any assembly or technical work separately, including how its completion is recorded.
Programme control
Name the person who can change the plan
Agree phase release, receiving readiness, delivery evidence and escalation contacts. Keep one current programme with an authorised change owner so supplier delays or unfinished site work do not produce conflicting instructions.
Commercial comparison
Price the complete site requirement
Include collection grouping, holding if needed, phased delivery, handling, waiting and changes. Compare the same packed goods and site access. An opening date alone does not define the vehicle days or labour needed.
Supplier readiness
Share project and approval requirements
Send the programme, goods values and supplier approval requirements to sales. Discuss applicable cover and the commercial basis, purchase orders and invoicing needs before work starts. Keep any unconfirmed contractor or installation scope explicit.
Read our standard trading terms before booking. Send your programme and supplier approval requirements to sales@synergixsameday.com, or call 01782 911 181 to discuss regular work.
Answers before you book
Store openings and refits questions.
Practical answers about the service, handling, information and commercial arrangements.
Can you support a new store opening?
Yes. We can coordinate suitable stock, fixture and display transport around the store's receiving programme, with optional holding and agreed project support.
Can you make phased deliveries during a refit?
Yes. Provide the phase dates, goods allocations, receiving space and contractor contacts so dispatch can follow the actual project sequence.
Can you collect from several suppliers?
Yes. Identify each supplier, collection readiness and goods list. Suitable goods can be grouped through Northampton or moved directly as the plan requires.
Can you hold goods until the store is ready?
Yes, under an agreed storage arrangement. Give the stock volume, handling needs and expected release dates. Storage scope and applicable terms are confirmed separately.
Will you place fixtures where they are needed?
Placement can be included. Provide the exact location and carrying route, with individual dimensions and weights so the team and equipment can be confirmed.
Does delivery include assembly or installation?
Only where explicitly agreed. Send the actual task, product instructions, tools, fixings and completion requirement. Delivery POD and installation completion are different records.
Can you provide two-person handling?
Yes, where the task and access assessment call for it. We confirm the people and equipment from the goods, carrying route and handling requirement.
Can you deliver overnight or before opening?
Yes, with the appropriate store or contractor access arrangement. Confirm permissions, permitted receiving hours, unloading and the person responsible for the site.
What if the opening date changes?
Tell the team promptly so releases, holding and delivery bookings can be reviewed. Additional storage, waiting or movements are agreed according to the changed scope.
Can you take away the old display or unused stock?
Agreed return collections can be included. Identify the goods, condition, packing and destination. Waste or technical disconnection is a separate requirement to scope.
Can you support several store projects?
Yes. Send the full programme and site-specific allocations so a coordinated rollout plan can be agreed, retaining each store's receiving and completion requirements.
What is needed for a store-refit quote?
The programme, goods list, collection points, site access, receiving contacts and handling scope. Include optional holding, installation support and all return requirements.
Built around your retail operation
