Stock in place before the trading day begins.
Out-of-hours store delivery. Ready for your team.
Have stock delivered to the right place while the store is closed, ready for staff arriving in the morning. Synergix provides planned night and early-morning retail deliveries, including vetted keyholding drivers under an agreed access arrangement. Familiar drivers, clear stock locations and recorded completion make out-of-hours receiving part of a dependable store routine.

Night and early retail receiving
Make the delivery before your team starts selling.
Out-of-hours delivery can move receiving work away from the busiest part of the trading day.
Unattended keyholding delivery
A trusted driver inside the store
Vetted keyholding drivers can enter authorised stores and place stock in the designated location. The retailer agrees access permissions, receiving instructions and the completion procedure before the service begins. This is an established part of our retail operation.
Attended night delivery
Work with the people already on site
Where a night team, security contact or contractor receives the load, agree their availability and handover point. Include a contact who can resolve a changed entrance, blocked receiving area or unexpected site condition.
Early-morning replenishment
Give staff a predictable start
Plan delivery around when the store needs stock, its permitted receiving hours and the time available for placement. Familiar drivers learn the route and receiving location, helping the morning team find stock where expected.
A complete store visit
Collect what is ready to return
Declared merchandise returns, reusable containers and agreed packaging can be collected alongside the stock delivery. Identify the return location and quantities so the driver can complete the visit without confusing returns with incoming stock.
Goods and practical requirements
Out-of-hours receiving arrangements.
The goods, access permissions and actual store procedure determine the service.
- Regular night replenishment
- Vetted keyholding stores
- Shopping-centre and service-yard access
- Launches and refits
- Hanging and boxed fashion stock
- Return stock and containers
Regular night replenishment
Agree store days, stock availability and permitted receiving windows. Confirm the route and placement instructions so the stock reaches its designated location before the agreed morning requirement.
Vetted keyholding stores
Set up authorisation and access through the agreed retailer and Synergix contacts. Keep keys, codes and security instructions within the appropriate private process. A transport enquiry should identify the need for access, rather than publish sensitive store details.
Shopping-centre and service-yard access
Night access may depend on centre management, security attendance and loading-bay booking. Provide the receiving entrance, height and vehicle restrictions, permitted times and any noise or handling instructions.
Launches and refits
A closed store may still have contractors, changing floor space or a different receiving entrance. Identify who accepts stock and which area is ready. Delivery and placement are distinct from any separately booked installation task.
Hanging and boxed fashion stock
Confirm rail requirements or carton quantities, protection and the intended stock location. Garment transfer and carrying routes need the same care at night as during attended daytime delivery.
Return stock and containers
Keep the outgoing collection clearly labelled and separate from new stock. Give the driver an agreed collection point, quantities and destination, including reusable containers and any agreed packaging streams.

Plan the load and the unloading together
These are body-specific planning guides. Door openings, wheel arches, curtainsider bodies and carried equipment change usable space and payload. For a MOFFETT delivery, confirm load weight and centre of gravity, fork access, suitable ground and the placement area. A carried forklift is different from a HIAB crane or a tail lift.
Use LoadCheck for an initial space estimate, or send the packed dimensions, weights and store access details to our team. Where pallet-truck handling is needed for a loaded pallet of 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. Lighter pallets can also need powered handling where the surface, gradient or carrying distance makes manual movement unsuitable. Actual platform capacity, ground and the unloading route still need checking.
How the service works
Set up the night visit before it starts.
Set up the store visit
Clear permissions. A clear receiving location.
A repeat procedure lets the driver complete the visit consistently.
- Authorise
Nominate the retailer lead and agree which stores use keyholding or attended receiving.
- Prepare access
Confirm private access instructions, permitted hours, loading point and any attending contact.
- Place the stock
Identify the correct allocation and put it in the designated receiving location.
- Record completion
Use the agreed proof of delivery (POD) or unattended completion record and raise any exception through the nominated contact.
Fit the actual store environment
The right time still needs the right access.
Store closing time does not automatically establish permission for a night delivery.
Receiving windows
Plan the permitted hours
Include local loading restrictions, centre bookings and the store's authorised delivery times. The plan needs to work for the vehicle arrival and the unloading period, as well as when the stock is required.
Neighbouring premises
Keep the unloading considerate
Tell us about nearby homes, shared yards and noise-sensitive areas. Agree the receiving route, handling equipment and site instructions to reduce unnecessary noise and disturbance during the visit.
Safe stock placement
Keep working and escape routes clear
The designated area should be available for the planned stock. Include stairs, carrying distance, box weights, lighting and any special handling so placement can be completed properly without blocking essential access.
Changes during the night
Speak to the team running the job
Our operations support is available 24/7. Give us the retailer's authorised exception contact, and update changes to access or receiving arrangements before the route so instructions remain current.
A practical starting point
Booking this service for the first time.
Use the information your warehouse, supplier and receiving team already hold. You can start a discussion before every detail is final, provided estimates and missing information are clear.
Define the night window
Give the actual receiving time
Tell us when the vehicle may arrive and when stock must be in position. Ask the store or landlord about service-yard bookings, local delivery restrictions and noise requirements. A closed shop does not automatically have permission to receive a night delivery.
Choose the handover
Attended or authorised keyholding
State whether a member of staff will receive the goods. For unattended work, identify the person who can approve access and the designated stock location. Keys, codes and sensitive access instructions are arranged privately with the team.
Check the route inside
Include handling and exit requirements
Provide packed quantities, dimensions and weights, plus doors, stairs, lifts and carrying distance. Agree the route from unloading to placement and keep escape routes clear. Explain any equipment or noise limitation before deciding the delivery method.
Prepare the first store
Use a real example and a night contact
Send a sample store and dispatch, with available receiving instructions and unresolved questions. Name the authorised contact for access or stock discrepancies during the delivery window. Agree the completion evidence instead of expecting a signature from an unattended store.
An accountable retail partner
A dependable visit while the store is closed.
Your morning team needs stock in its designated location and a clear record of the authorised night visit.
Relevant retail work
A service built around the actual operation
Agreed night deliveries can use vetted keyholding drivers. Permissions, private access instructions and the receiving location are set before the service begins.
A practical service plan
Match the work to your requirement
Familiar drivers learn the stores and their routines on regular routes. The carrying route, stock area and quieter handling requirements can form part of that repeat procedure.
Clear handovers
Keep quantities and responsibilities visible
An agreed proof-of-delivery or unattended completion record confirms the visit. It does not depend on a signature from staff who are absent. Exceptions go through the nominated contact.
Insured and visible
Follow the booked movement
Fully insured transport, live tracking, proof-of-delivery records and our customer portal support the booked movement. Declare goods and value so applicable cover can be confirmed. Portal access does not imply automatic stock alerts, item-level checks or an integration.
People behind the plan
Experience and operational support
Three generations of family transport experience support an owner-led business trusted with demanding retail work. Our operations team is available 24/7, with account management arranged around the contract.
An urgent alternative
Help when stock cannot wait
A separately booked dedicated courier movement can support urgent stock, parts or campaign material. UK-wide courier collections are available within 60 minutes for many bookings, subject to location, vehicle and confirmation. This response does not apply automatically to specialist trucks or port collection.
Make the return journey work
Deliver. Collect. Reuse.
Retail logistics can join the outward delivery and the return requirement in one planned operation.
Productive return legs
Bring something useful back
Plan returns, reusable delivery containers and agreed packaging collections into the returning store route. That uses the journey for more than the outward stock delivery and can reduce separate collection trips, fuel use and associated CO₂ emissions.
Reuse and recycling
Keep materials in the loop
In our established retail operation, collected clear garment plastic and cardboard are recycled through a partner, with records retained. Reusable delivery containers return for the next cycle. Agree materials, separation and collection quantities for your own programme.
Plan the service and price
Tell us how your stores work.
Start with the stores, permitted hours and whether receiving is attended or uses an agreed keyholding arrangement.
- Store programmeAddresses, delivery days and the required ready-for-staff time.
- PermissionsRetailer authority, keyholding requirement or attending receiving contact.
- Access windowPermitted unloading hours, centre bookings and vehicle restrictions.
- StockCartons, pallets or hanging garments, dimensions, weights and value.
- PlacementDesignated area, carrying route, stairs, lighting and handling instructions.
- Return collectionOutgoing stock, containers or agreed packaging, quantities and location.
- Completion recordPOD or unattended handover requirements and the exception contact.
- Frequency and scopeRepeat or one-off work, seasonal increases and the required start date.
A tariff that fits the operation
The price reflects the route, vehicle, permitted time window, keyholding or attended receiving procedure, stock placement and return collections. Repeat programmes can use an agreed vehicle, box or other tariff. Additional handling, waiting and access changes are defined within the commercial arrangement.
For retail transport and purchasing teams
Assess the service behind the rate.
Use a clear operating brief to compare the service and agree responsibility, records and commercial arrangements before work starts.
Authorised access
Define the permitted night service
Agree attended or vetted keyholding delivery, store permissions, windows, handling and placement. Keep sensitive access details private and identify who is authorised to approve the arrangement for each store.
Completion and exceptions
Use evidence that fits an unattended job
Specify the quantity and completion record and the authorised night contact. An unattended delivery needs an agreed method of confirmation; it cannot rely on a signature from staff who are not present.
Commercial comparison
Include the actual night workload
Use the same delivery window, stock profile, carrying route, access process and return collections when comparing proposals. Account for receiving time, waiting and approved changes rather than comparing a daytime drop with a different night service.
Supplier approval
Discuss cover and store requirements
Send approval requirements and goods values with the store brief. Discuss applicable cover, agreed access and commercial terms with sales. Purchase-order, invoicing and payment arrangements need confirmation before the regular service begins.
Read our standard trading terms before booking. Send your programme and supplier approval requirements to sales@synergixsameday.com, or call 01782 911 181 to discuss regular work.
Answers before you book
Out-of-hours store delivery questions.
Practical answers about the service, handling, information and commercial arrangements.
Can you deliver while our store is closed?
Yes. Agreed unattended deliveries can use vetted keyholding drivers, placing stock in the designated location ready for the morning team.
Can you deliver before our staff arrive?
Yes. Plan the store's permitted delivery window and required ready time with us. Access, stock placement and completion arrangements are agreed beforehand.
Do we need to have staff waiting for every delivery?
An agreed keyholding arrangement can support unattended delivery. Alternatively, we can work to an attended handover with your staff, security contact or contractor.
How do we arrange keyholding?
Tell us which stores need it and nominate the authorised retailer contact. We agree the private access and receiving procedure for the programme. Sensitive access details should be handled through that process.
Will stock be left outside?
We deliver to the agreed receiving location. That may be inside a stockroom or another authorised area. Do not assume an external unattended drop unless it has been explicitly agreed.
What proof do we receive for an unattended delivery?
We agree the POD or completion record suitable for the store procedure. An unattended delivery does not rely on inventing a staff signature when nobody is present.
Can you deliver to shopping centres at night?
Yes, where the centre's access and receiving arrangements permit the service. Provide loading-bay bookings, vehicle restrictions and the appropriate security or receiving contact.
Do local loading and noise restrictions still apply?
Yes. Include permitted hours and site requirements in the brief. The delivery plan needs to account for access and considerate unloading at the actual location.
Can you collect returns during the night visit?
Yes, where included. Keep returned goods and containers identifiable in the agreed collection location, with quantities and destination supplied.
Can you deliver hanging garments out of hours?
Yes, using suitable booked capacity and an agreed rail-transfer and receiving arrangement. Give garment quantities, protection and the designated stock location.
Who can we contact during the delivery?
Synergix operations support is available 24/7. The retailer's authorised contact and exception procedure are agreed for the programme.
Can this be part of our regular store distribution?
Yes. Night receiving can form part of a wider collection, sorting, store delivery and return programme, with the service and tariff built around your operation.
Built around your retail operation
Have the stock ready when your team arrives.
Send the store list, receiving windows and placement requirement. We will help plan a night or early-morning routine with the right access and completion arrangements.
