Release the right stock to the right destination.
Onward distribution
Onward distribution from Northampton: move authorised stock to stores, businesses, projects or events through suitable booked courier, haulage or retail delivery. We connect stock references, agreed preparation and loading with the receiving-site plan and delivery handover. Incoming warehouse units receive labels or barcodes and locations in our warehouse management system (WMS).

What Synergix provides
From the authorised stock release to the receiving site.
Onward distribution connects stock held or handled through Northampton with its next destination. We agree the release, any order preparation, vehicle and delivery requirements, then carry out the booked movement and handover. Stockholding, picking and delivery have different responsibilities. You can also use an authorised carrier of your own, with our scope ending at the agreed warehouse handover.
The details which change the job
Typical warehouse requirements.
The practical guide below explains the details for each requirement.
- Warehouse-to-store releases
- Project and installation phases
- Event stock allocations
- Regular business replenishment
Retailers and regular business supply
Release suitable stock to shops, wholesalers or business customers in the quantities needed. Give stock lines, destinations, delivery windows and receiving references. Whole-unit release and individual order picking require different preparation, even if the delivery address is the same.
Project and installation programmes
Send the complete goods needed for the next site or phase while later stock remains held under its terms. Identify kits and components, access restrictions and the receiving contact. Delivery, room placement, carrying, assembly and installation must be separately defined, not inferred from the word distribution.
Event opening stock and replenishment
Release agreed opening or replenishment quantities to the event's actual receiving point. Gate, vehicle restrictions, site contact and delivery time matter alongside stock references. Managed evening/weekend warehouse releases can be discussed; the event must also be ready to receive the booked vehicle.
The wider Synergix fleet
All vehicles. The right equipment for your job.
Our wider fleet supports different transport and unloading requirements. This overview is not a promise that every configuration performs this service. We match the actual vehicle, body, usable capacity and equipment to the load and receiving site.

Match the handling to the job
A HIAB is a loader crane for an assessed lift or placement. A MOFFETT carries an unloading forklift for suitable loads at sites without receiving equipment. Standard-body dimensions and payload do not apply automatically to fitted equipment or refrigerated configurations. Confirm the actual load, ground, access and handling arrangements.
Our booking rule: when pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. Check the actual equipment and lift/platform capacity, surface, gradient, distance and access. Lower weights can also need powered handling.
How the work happens
Release, load, deliver and close the handover.
Define the warehouse preparation and the transport journey together, while keeping their records and responsibilities distinct.
Approve the order and destination
Confirm exact stock/quantities, dates, complete sets, receiving references, contact, delivery window and unloading or placement scope. Agree notice and who may change the instruction.
Prepare and check the release
Carry out agreed picking, sorting, labels or packaging. Match prepared units to the authorised allocation and checking scope. Resolve shortages or unknown references before treating the order as ready.
Book the vehicle and load
Choose the actual body, payload and loading/unloading equipment for the goods and receiver. Match units to the booked movement, agree loading/restraint responsibility and confirm the delivery instructions with the carrier.
Carry out the delivery
For booked Synergix transport, move the load to the agreed destination and time arrangement, then unload or hand over to the agreed scope. Access problems, absence or a different placement request need an instruction, not an assumed extra service.
Confirm delivery and any exception
Use tracking and the agreed proof of delivery for the booked movement. Report a short/refused/damaged-package handover and agree any redelivery, return or holding. Reconcile released and remaining stock to the separately agreed reporting scope.
Warehouse management
An identity and a recorded location.
We use a warehouse management system. Each incoming stock unit receives its own individual label or barcode and an assigned warehouse location.
01
Receipt and references
Provide the owner, product references, expected quantities and arrival booking. Agree the checking unit: sealed pallet, carton or individual item. Visible damage, shortages and unidentified goods need a clear exception procedure.
02
Location and release
Warehouse identification connects the stock unit with its assigned location. Nominate who can authorise release and use precise references and quantities. Counts, reports, batch rules and integrations need their own agreed scope.
| Record | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Stock and order | 20 identified cartons held. Agree the actual count/check scope and owner authorised to release them. |
| Allocation | Store A: 4 cartons; store B: 6. Exact product/warehouse references, delivery instructions and dates supplied. |
| Warehouse release | Match each prepared allocation to its authorised carrier/movement. Ten cartons remain under storage terms; agree any balance report. |
| Delivery and exceptions | Booked transport records the agreed handover. A shortage, refusal, damaged package or return requires the named decision-maker and follow-up stock instruction. |
Agree the important details
What changes the arrangement.
A useful quote starts with the constraints, not just a product name or vehicle size.
01
Set an order-ready point
Define when the instruction is complete and approved. Late changes can affect picking, packaging, the booked vehicle and receiving slot. Confirm the revised plan rather than assuming a message has amended every booking.
02
Separate dispatch from delivery evidence
A warehouse release record identifies what left. Tracking and proof of delivery relate to the booked transport movement. Neither replaces an agreed product-level check or confirms the contents of sealed packaging.
03
Keep remaining stock clear
Identify what is released, reserved or still awaiting instructions. Agree the reporting and reconciliation required for your operation without assuming a customer portal or live system integration.
Booking delivery from stored stock for the first time?
Specify the goods to release
Use the warehouse/product references, quantity and checking unit, plus any complete-set allocation. Give packed dimensions, gross weights and protection needs. Ask the stock owner or supplier for missing packing data and mark estimates. A forecast is not an authorised release order.
Get the receiver's instructions
Ask the destination for the full delivery point, postcode, site/gate or bay reference, contact, booking window and unloading arrangements. State forklift or tail-lift needs, ground restrictions and any doorway, stairs, lift or room placement requirement. A street address alone is not an unloading plan.
Agree the finish and change process
Define warehouse preparation, delivery handover and any additional carrying or installation. Nominate who can approve short lines, substitutions, late changes or an unsuccessful delivery. Agree the evidence required and how remaining stock is reconciled; do not assume a message has amended every booking.
Two releases, with the reserve still clear
For example, 20 identified cartons are held, four are authorised for store A and six for store B, leaving ten under the storage arrangement. Each delivery needs its own stock references, receiving instructions and agreed time. A warehouse release confirms what left for A or B; the booked transport provides delivery evidence. Any short, refused or returned cartons need an agreed decision and stock update. This is an illustrative example, not a customer case history.
Practical detail for each requirement
Warehouse-to-store releases
Supply store references, delivery windows, receiving instructions and quantities by stock line. Agree whether releases use whole pallets, cartons or item picks. Store-specific labelling, sorting and any new packaging must be scoped before dispatch.
Project and installation phases
Keep the next phase separate from later reserves. Tell us which items form a complete kit and what must not be released without approval. Delivery to site does not automatically include room placement, assembly or installation.
Event stock allocations
Release opening stock or replenishment quantities while suitable reserve stock remains held. Include event reference, receiving gate, contact and required time. Managed evening or weekend warehouse release can be discussed with our team.
Regular business replenishment
Agree order format, expected frequency, notice and normal quantities. Forecasts help planning but do not automatically become confirmed orders. Stock substitutions, late additions and short lines need an authorised decision.
Why Synergix?
Warehouse control connected to practical delivery.
Our Northampton warehouse, retail and transport experience helps plan what leaves, how it moves and how it is received.
Keep the correct stock connected
Incoming labels or barcodes and assigned locations give warehouse stock a recorded identity. Exact order and release references link that stock to the delivery, without assuming a sealed-carton check proves its contents.
Plan the receiving point
Vehicle size alone is not enough. We discuss receiving access, equipment, contacts and time windows so the agreed delivery has a practical handover plan. Carrying or installation is defined separately.
Trusted with demanding programmes
We support national retailers and major event operators, with warehousing, cross-docking and retail logistics in Northampton. That wider experience matters when a store or project needs the right allocation, not an unidentified load.
Experience behind the movement
Three generations of family transport experience support practical decisions about loads, access and timing. Our team helps connect warehouse and transport requirements with clear responsibility when plans change.
A suitable transport service
Courier, general haulage, retail distribution and specialist movements can be discussed for UK and European requirements. Eligible UK courier collections can be arranged within 60 minutes, subject to job, location and availability; this is not an automatic warehouse order cut-off.
Delivery evidence and cover
Booked transport is insured, with tracking and proof of delivery available. Confirm applicable cover and required evidence for the movement. Warehouse checks, stored-stock cover and product inspection remain distinct.

Delivery and equipment
Access, ground, forklift/tail lift, carrying route, placement and any separately requested installation.
Authority and evidence
Release/change contacts, order-ready point, required records/POD and shortage/refusal/return instructions.

For buying teams and repeat bookings
Define the complete delivery scope
Agree whether the job includes whole-unit release or picking/preparation, transport, unloading, carrying or installation. Confirm receiver responsibilities and the actual completion point. An own-carrier collection has a different boundary from booked delivery.
Control readiness and changes
Set order format, stock references, notice, approval and the point at which the load is ready. Agree how short lines, substitutions, changed sites/windows and late additions are authorised. No universal daily cut-off or automatic stock integration is implied.
Compare the full cost
Include preparation/checking/labels/materials, vehicle and destination count, unloading/access/team needs, timing and any waiting. Agree handling of failed delivery, returns, redelivery or extended holding rather than assume those tasks are included.
Plan repeat work and supplier requirements
Share normal and peak order/destination profiles, named decision-makers and purchase-order/supplier-approval needs. Declare goods/value and confirm terms, transport/stock cover and required records. Reporting, account terms and performance commitments need agreement.
Before you book
Onward distribution questions.
Practical answers about the service and what to agree.
What does onward distribution include?
It connects an authorised stock release with the agreed next delivery. We define any picking/preparation, vehicle, receiving instructions, unloading and handover before booking. Extra carrying, installation or technical work is not automatically included.
Can you distribute only part of my stock?
Yes, with agreed references, quantities, checking/picking scope and authorised release instructions. Suitable remaining stock stays under its storage terms. Agree any balance update or report rather than assume every release creates a bespoke inventory report.
Can my own carrier collect instead?
Yes, where collection is authorised and booked with a suitable vehicle and handling plan. Provide the carrier, reference and exact goods they may receive. Our warehouse handover and your carrier's subsequent delivery have distinct responsibilities and evidence.
Is there a daily cut-off or automatic same-day dispatch?
Notice and the order-ready point must be agreed for your stock, preparation, vehicle and receiving slot. There is no universal published cut-off or automatic same-day dispatch promise. An urgent courier collection benefit is not confirmation that an unprepared order is ready.
What information do you need from the receiver?
Ask for the exact delivery point, contact, receiving reference/window, vehicle restrictions and unloading arrangements. Include forklift/tail-lift needs, ground/access issues and any carrying, lift, stairs or placement requirement. Mark unknowns before the journey is booked.
Can the delivery include two-person handling or installation?
Suitable additional services can be discussed for the actual goods and route. Give packed weight/size, protection, stairs/lifts, final position and the precise assembly/installation task. Two people are not automatically sufficient for every item, and delivery alone does not include installation.
What happens if a line is short or the order changes?
Use the nominated decision-maker and agreed readiness/change process. Confirm whether to hold, amend or release the incomplete order and update the vehicle/delivery plan where needed. Do not assume a substitution or late message has changed an authorised booking.
Is warehouse dispatch proof that the goods were delivered?
No. A warehouse release record identifies the agreed goods leaving; tracking and proof of delivery relate to the booked transport handover. Neither proves the condition of every concealed surface or the contents of sealed packages unless the relevant inspection was separately agreed.
What if the site cannot receive the delivery?
Access, refusal, absence or changed requirements need the agreed contact and decision process. Any waiting, return, redelivery or holding is reviewed with the authorised person. The driver should not assume a new delivery point or an unbooked installation task.
Can evening or weekend releases and deliveries be arranged?
Discuss both warehouse release and the destination's receiving arrangements at enquiry stage. Managed Northampton access or release can be arranged with the team, and the actual delivery timing is separately confirmed. Neither means unrestricted access at every receiver.
Does this use a pallet network?
No. Synergix does not provide pallet-network services. Suitable courier, general haulage, retail distribution and specialist arrangements are discussed for the actual load and timing.
What affects the quote?
Release/preparation work, goods and dimensions/weights, destinations, vehicle/equipment, unloading/carrying scope, time windows and any waiting or return requirements affect the price. Separate stored-stock charges and additional warehouse work from the booked delivery.
