What Synergix provides
Keep furniture protected and ready for its next use.
Hold suitable furniture in our managed Northampton warehouse while premises, rooms or customer orders become ready. The storage plan needs to preserve the furniture and its identity: which finish, which matching parts and which project or release it belongs to. Packing, any dismantling, detailed condition records and onward delivery are agreed tasks, not an automatic all-inclusive package.
The details which change the job
Types of stock and storage needs.
The practical guide below explains the details for each requirement.
- Retail furniture and homeware
- Office and workplace furniture
- Hotel and hospitality stock
- Returns and reusable pieces
Furniture retailers and dealers
Hold suitable boxed or protected stock between supply and customer demand, including bulky lines that occupy valuable sales or dispatch space. Product, finish and order references help distinguish similar cartons. Tell us if orders leave as full sets or individual pieces.
Workplace moves and refurbishments
Keep suitable desks, chairs and cabinets while one area closes and another becomes available. Separate furniture intended for reuse from pieces awaiting a decision. Label detachable tops, legs and fixings to the parent item so the next phase is not delayed by a missing component.
Hotel, hospitality and fit-out projects
Hold furniture ahead of room readiness or a phased opening. Agree allocations by room type, site or installation stage and tell us which stock must be accessible first. Storage gives the project a holding point without requiring every room to receive its furniture on the same day.
Household and reusable furniture
Suitable household consignments can be assessed alongside commercial work. Send a furniture list, packed sizes, condition and expected duration. This is managed warehouse holding with arranged access, not a self-storage room you can enter whenever you choose.
The wider Synergix fleet
All vehicles. The right equipment for your job.
Our wider fleet supports different transport and unloading requirements. This overview is not a promise that every configuration performs this service. We match the actual vehicle, body, usable capacity and equipment to the load and receiving site.

Match the handling to the job
A HIAB is a loader crane for an assessed lift or placement. A MOFFETT carries an unloading forklift for suitable loads at sites without receiving equipment. Standard-body dimensions and payload do not apply automatically to fitted equipment or refrigerated configurations. Confirm the actual load, ground, access and handling arrangements.
Our booking rule: when pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. Check the actual equipment and lift/platform capacity, surface, gradient, distance and access. Lower weights can also need powered handling.
How the work happens
From booking to the final release.
Agree the responsibilities at each handover before stock arrives.
Agree the furniture brief
Send the list, packed sizes, condition, value and duration, plus protection, assembly state and phased-release needs. Identify any special acceptance or handling requirement.
Prepare and book arrival
Agree who packs or dismantles, how loose fittings are identified, unloading and checking responsibilities, and arrival timing. Additional work and materials need an agreed scope and charge.
Receive and identify
Receive under the agreed checking unit, label or barcode incoming stock and assign warehouse locations. Refer unexplained quantities or package-condition differences to the nominated contact.
Hold for the right phase
Keep the stock under the agreed arrangement. Tell us about programme delays, changed allocations or access needs early so space and any extra handling can be reviewed.
Release complete stock
Authorise the exact pieces or complete sets. Agree any picking, repacking and collection equipment. If we deliver, separately confirm the carrying route, team, room placement and assembly scope.
Warehouse management
An identity and a recorded location.
We use a warehouse management system. Each incoming stock unit receives its own individual label or barcode and an assigned warehouse location.
01
Receipt and references
Provide the owner, product references, expected quantities and arrival booking. Agree the checking unit: sealed pallet, carton or individual item. Visible damage, shortages and unidentified goods need a clear exception procedure.
02
Location and release
Warehouse identification connects the stock unit with its assigned location. Nominate who can authorise release and use precise references and quantities. Counts, reports, batch rules and integrations need their own agreed scope.
| Record | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Receipt | Desk F23: protected top F23-T, frame F23-F and fixings pack F23-H. Agree the count and visible condition-check scope. |
| Identification | Incoming stock units receive individual labels or barcodes and assigned warehouse locations. Keep the set relationship in the agreed references. |
| Release | Authorise the complete desk set for the named project phase, including its referenced fixings and agreed collection or delivery date. |
| Exceptions | A missing component or damaged package needs the nominated owner's decision. Do not substitute a similar-looking finish or incomplete set. |
Agree the important details
What changes the arrangement.
A useful quote starts with the constraints, not just a product name or vehicle size.
01
Protect finished surfaces
Describe glass, stone, polished timber, fabric and protruding legs. Use suitable protection which also allows the agreed handling. A blanket alone is not a universal packaging specification.
02
Plan the release sequence
Tell us if one room, store or phase needs to leave first. Accessing a buried item can require extra handling, so agree the stock layout and picking needs rather than request them after the load is stored.
03
Assess carrying and assembly separately
Room-of-choice delivery, stairs, lifts, unpacking and assembly affect team and equipment requirements. Two people are not automatically sufficient for every bulky item. Send both the item and access details.
New to booking warehouse space?
Make a useful furniture list
List each piece or packed set with quantity, finish, condition and project reference. Use supplier packing lists for new goods. For existing furniture, photographs and a simple numbered list help distinguish similar items; mark whether the count refers to pieces, cartons or complete sets.
Measure and describe the packed form
Give the outside length, width and height with protection fitted, plus weight where known. State whether a sofa, desk or cabinet arrives assembled or in sections. Ask the supplier for packing dimensions and any stacking or orientation instructions. Label estimates so any necessary checks can be resolved before arrival.
Plan protection and the next move
Tell us about glass, stone, polished faces, fabric and loose fittings, and who supplies the agreed packaging. Declare damp, contamination or damage before acceptance. For delivery later, include doorways, stairs, lifts, final position and any assembly required. More people alone do not resolve an unsuitable carrying route.
A phased office refit
For example, 20 desks are held for two phases of 10. If each desk has a top, a frame and a fixings pack, the release instruction needs the complete components for the chosen 10 desks, not simply 10 packages. Agree references and any picking or rebuilding before the goods are put away. This is an illustrative planning example, not a customer case history.
Practical detail for each requirement
Retail furniture and homeware
Identify product, finish, colour and order references so similar-looking cartons are not treated as the same item. State whether whole cartons, complete sets or individual items will be released. Visible package condition checks do not automatically include opening every box.
Office and workplace furniture
Hold suitable desks, chairs and cabinets during a relocation, refurbishment or phased project. Identify destination floors, rooms or phases where useful. Keep fixings and loose components referenced to their parent item rather than send an unlabelled mixed box.
Hotel and hospitality stock
Group furniture by project, room type or agreed installation phase. Give the packed sizes of bulky items, stacking limits and required protection. Storage provides a holding point while rooms become ready; delivery and installation remain separately agreed services.
Returns and reusable pieces
Declare whether goods are new, used, damaged or awaiting inspection. Separate saleable stock from items awaiting a decision. Wet, contaminated or pest-affected furniture must be disclosed before acceptance. Cleaning, restoration and disposal are not included merely because the item is stored.
Why Synergix?
Stockholding with practical support.
A real warehouse operation, clear stock identification and useful support when plans change.
01
Stock with an identity
Individual warehouse labels or barcodes and assigned WMS locations connect incoming stock to a recorded place, rather than rely on memory or an unlabelled corner.
02
Access around the job
Discuss managed evening and weekend warehouse access or releases. Agree the time and authorised contacts so urgent requirements are planned rather than left to chance.
03
Trusted with demanding programmes
We support national retailers and major event operators, with warehousing, cross-docking and retail logistics in Northampton. Your stockholding can connect to that practical experience without a compulsory transport package.
04
Experience behind the plan
Three generations of family transport experience support practical decisions about goods, handling and timing. We explain the actual arrangements rather than promise every item fits the same service.
05
Support when stock must move
Courier, general haulage, retail distribution and specialist transport are available where suitable. Eligible UK courier collections can be arranged within 60 minutes, subject to the job, location and availability.
06
Clear transport evidence
Booked transport is insured, with tracking and proof of delivery available. Confirm applicable cover and evidence for your movement. These transport benefits do not replace agreed warehouse checks or stock cover.
A useful brief for a useful quote
Tell us what the stock needs.
Send the details below. We will confirm suitable space, the storage period, handling, availability and price before you book.

03
Dates and access
Arrival, expected duration, release pattern and evening or weekend needs.
04

Email your brief to sales@synergixsameday.com. Do not send undeclared goods before acceptance.
For buying teams and repeat bookings
Scope and stock visibility
Agree whether receipt checks cover sealed cartons, individual pieces or complete sets, and what condition information you require. WMS identity and location are confirmed; itemised reports, photographs, counts and customer system access are not automatic additions.
Compare the whole arrangement
Consider packed space, duration and stackability alongside receipt/release movements, protection, dismantling, phased picking and transport. Explain the likely number of visits or phases. Agree the charging basis and extension arrangements rather than compare only a headline space rate.
Cover and responsibilities
Declare goods and value and confirm acceptance, terms and applicable stock cover. Distinguish warehouse holding from transport and installation. Agree who supplies packaging, who authorises a release and who decides what happens to damaged or unwanted items.
Plan recurring and multi-site work
Share the programme, expected peaks, references and named project owner. Raise purchase-order and supplier-approval requirements before booking. Discuss the evidence and review points you need without assuming a particular accreditation, account term or reporting commitment.
Before you book
Furniture storage questions.
Practical answers about the service and what to agree.
Can you hold furniture while a refurbishment runs late?
Yes, suitable furniture can be held under an agreed storage booking. Tell us the expected duration and possible extensions. Confirm changes early so space, release dates and any transport can be reviewed.
Can you keep suites and matching components together?
Provide set, product and component references at receipt. We can agree how these are identified in storage and released together. Missing or unlabelled fixings should be flagged rather than assumed to be inside a carton.
Do you dismantle or assemble furniture as part of storage?
Not automatically. Explain the product, instructions, fixings and site requirements. Suitable assembly or installation can be discussed separately, with scope, team and price confirmed.
Can I release furniture one room at a time?
Yes, where the stock identification and picking arrangement support it. Supply the room allocation, exact references and required date. Staged picking or pallet rebuilding should be included in the quote.
Do you provide two-person delivery from storage?
It can be arranged where appropriate. We assess the furniture, weight, protection and carrying route, including stairs and lifts. Storage can also end with an authorised collection by your own suitable carrier.
How are warehouse goods identified?
Incoming stock units receive their own individual label or barcode and an assigned location in our warehouse management system. Agree the unit, receipt checks and required reports. The WMS does not automatically mean item-level counting, product testing or an external system connection.
Can access be arranged in the evening or at weekends?
Yes, discuss managed access or stock releases with our warehouse team. Confirm the stock references, quantities, authorised person and time. This is planned warehouse access, not unrestricted walk-in access to a self-storage unit.
What affects the price?
Goods, occupied space, duration, handling frequency, checking level and access requirements affect the quote. Declare specialist conditions and peak quantities. Transport, materials and extra warehouse work should be clear rather than hidden in an assumed all-inclusive rate.
How are security and stock cover handled?
We use managed warehouse holding and authorised release arrangements. Declare the stock, value and special risks so acceptance, terms and applicable cover can be confirmed. Insured transport does not automatically define warehouse contents or on-site stock cover.
Can you arrange transport as well?
Yes, suitable collection or onward delivery can be discussed separately. You can also arrange an authorised warehouse collection. Give packed dimensions, gross weights, loading and unloading details, access and required times so the actual vehicle and equipment can be checked.
How do I estimate the space my furniture will need?
Start with a list and the outside packed dimensions of each piece or set. Use supplier packing data where available and add photographs for existing furniture. Explain what can be stacked or dismantled, with the relevant instructions. Mark unknowns; we assess the holding and handling arrangement rather than treat the sum of product sizes as a guaranteed storage footprint.
Does the warehouse receipt prove every furniture piece is undamaged?
Only the agreed checks are included. Counting sealed cartons and recording visible package condition does not establish the condition of every hidden surface or confirm a complete assembly kit. If you need unpacking, detailed item records or photographs, agree that scope, responsibility and price before arrival.
