Festival traction

Tractor units and drivers for your festival trailers.

Festival traction is the movement of your suitable trailers using a booked tractor unit and driver. Synergix arranges individual collections and repeated runs for build-up, drinks stock movements and breakdown, coordinating each trailer with the festival access programme.

Bring your trailers into the festival

We collect the identified trailer from its release point and move it to the agreed site destination. The load, trailer condition, coupling and access determine the combination and the way the delivery is planned.

Repeated stock and infrastructure runs

Where arranged, tractor units can make several movements through the build or operating programme. We plan which trailer is ready, which site slot it uses and what the next movement needs, rather than treating the whole event as one arrival.

Drop and later collect

A trailer can be left in an agreed suitable position and collected when released where that is the booked scope. We coordinate the trailer identity, standing area and collection time with the site contact so the right unit is moved at each stage.

Return or move on after the festival

Breakdown traction takes suitable trailers back to the owner, a warehouse or another event. The return is planned around packing and release readiness, the get-out timetable and the receiving destination.

Who it helps

Who books festival traction?

Choose the situation that fits your job. These examples explain how the service can help your team.

Trailer-owning drinks operations

Move a suitable loaded or empty trailer between your release point and the event. Identify the stock, loaded weights and any refrigeration duties; trailer movement and stock operation need clear responsibilities.

Equipment and hospitality trailer operators

Arrange movement of a compatible semi-trailer used for your event operation. Send its exact coupling and road specification. A towable catering or exhibition unit is not automatically compatible with an articulated tractor.

Festival logistics coordinators

Coordinate several trailer arrivals, drops and later collections against the site programme. Each trailer needs its own identity, release authority, destination and suitable standing position.

Suppliers working across several events

Return a trailer to its owner or move it on to the next event where arranged. Confirm what it contains, when it is released and when the next site can receive it.

Practical scope

Festival traction requirements we can assess.

Open a category for the load, timing and handling details that matter.

  • Loaded stock and equipment trailers
  • Refrigerated event trailers
  • Empty and repositioning movements
  • A programme of different trailers
Loaded stock and equipment trailers

Declare goods, actual laden weight, distribution, value and restraint. The trailer must be suitable and ready for the road movement. A load change before collection can affect the combination and needs to be shared.

Refrigerated event trailers

Confirm trailer specification, loaded/empty status and whether refrigeration must operate during the journey. Temperature, fuel/power and operating duties need agreement. Traction and static refrigerated hire are separate arrangements.

Empty and repositioning movements

Empty trailers still need an identity, owner authority, suitable condition and coupling/route checks. Give the required position, site receiving contact and how the next load or use fits the programme.

A programme of different trailers

Send a trailer schedule with specifications and locations for each unit. Changing trailer types may change coupling, clearance and other requirements. We confirm the suitable unit and movement plan for the actual combinations.

Vehicle selection

Explore the full Synergix fleet.

Our wider fleet includes vans, trucks and specialist vehicles. The right body, usable load space and unloading equipment depend on your goods and the receiving site. We confirm the vehicle for your booking; the overview does not mean every configuration suits every job.

Illustrations and standard-body figures are planning guidance. Confirm the assigned body, door openings, equipment and usable payload for your load. A specialist conversion does not inherit a standard truck’s capacity.

How it works

From booking to handover.

Plan collection, site entry and handover together.

  1. Identify and release

Confirm the trailer, owner’s authority, empty or loaded condition and collection time.

  2. Check and couple

The actual combination, connections, road condition and load-security information are checked before movement.

  3. Move to the agreed point

Follow the booked route, gate and site window. Changes to access, ground or readiness go through the team.

  4. Hand over and record

Complete the agreed positioning or uncoupling and receiving handover. A later collection follows the trailer’s confirmed release.

Access, unloading and completion

Each run needs a ready trailer and an open route.

The exact delivery point and responsibilities are agreed before the vehicle arrives.

Build the movement list

Identify trailer numbers, origins, destinations, dates and priorities. Include the exact time each trailer can be released and the permitted receiving slot, not simply the event opening date.

Confirm the combination

Share trailer specification, maintenance/condition information, coupling requirements, overall dimensions and weights. Brakes, electrical connections, coupling security, landing legs, tyres, lights and load security are relevant checks.

Follow the event controls

Supply accreditation, forms, gates, prescribed routes, holding areas and curfews. Busy builds and get-outs may require vehicles to wait until called forward. Keep the site contact reachable.

Agree the final position

Define where the trailer is handed over or left and who accepts it. Check turning space, firm standing ground and the safe coupling/uncoupling area. Subsequent site operation and technical setup must be separately agreed.

More than one run through a busy build.

A vehicle may collect a customer trailer, deliver it to the allocated site position and return for another movement where the programme allows. The next run depends on release, travel and site turnaround, including queues. We plan that sequence with the team and update it when the event schedule changes.

Check the whole combination

Festival traction is a road trailer movement service. It is not an assumption that a tractor unit can tow through any soft ground, recover a stuck trailer or perform unrestricted site shunting. Specify any internal repositioning, recovery or unusual towing requirement for separate assessment. Suitable standing ground and safe access are needed for the actual combination.

Planning your booking

Booking festival traction for the first time

Traction means a tractor unit and driver moving a suitable trailer. You normally supply the trailer; compatibility and the whole movement are checked before acceptance.

Identify the actual trailer

Send the trailer number or registration, type, coupling, connections, dimensions and plating/weight information. Ask the owner or fleet contact for the specification and maintenance/defect information. Photos of the coupling, connections and complete unit help, but do not establish roadworthiness.

Describe the travelling load

Say whether it is empty or loaded, identify the contents and actual weights, and who loads and secures it. For a pre-loaded trailer, provide the load information and any security or seal instructions so the combination can be assessed.

Define the route and set-down point

Give both addresses and the authorised HGV gate and internal route. Provide current ground, gradients, turning space and a plan of the agreed position. A drop means leaving a trailer where agreed; it does not mean a road tractor can reach every part of a field.

Agree release and collection duties

Name who releases and receives the trailer. Specify whether it remains coupled, is uncoupled and left, or is later collected. Agree keys, documents, landing/standing arrangements and any refrigeration or site-repositioning duties explicitly.

Empty, pre-loaded and dropped trailers need different plans

An empty trailer still needs compatibility, road condition and access checks. A pre-loaded trailer needs load information and security checks before movement. A trailer left on site needs an authorised suitable position and a clear later release. Power connection, setting up the unit, operating refrigeration, unrestricted shunting and recovering a trailer from soft ground are not automatic parts of traction.

Why Synergix?

Festival traction with proven operating scale.

Our published music-festival capability includes moving up to 100 drinks trailers in a 24-hour period, alongside infrastructure and refrigerated units. Synergix understands the repeated movements behind a large event as well as the individual trailer you need moved.

Trusted by major drinks businesses and event operators.

Nationwide courier, haulage and specialist capability, with real operational support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Trailer movements are part of our actual festival work

We understand weekday builds, stock runs, curfews and Monday or Tuesday get-outs. That experience helps us plan the tractor unit, trailer release and site slot together, with a clear sequence when several trailers are involved.

One transport operation around the programme

Traction can sit alongside urgent courier work, equipment transport and separately arranged refrigeration or warehouse support. You can coordinate the services your programme needs with the same operation while keeping each booked movement and responsibility clear.

National reach, with the right vehicle for the job

Our UK and European courier, haulage and specialist capability supports trailer programmes and their additional transport needs. You can coordinate a local collection and a longer movement through one team, with the actual route and vehicle availability confirmed.

Tracking, proof of delivery and people who act

Live tracking helps your team coordinate the receiver, and proof of delivery records the completed handover. Registered customers can book jobs, track drivers and check proof of delivery through our customer portal. Our operations team supports the work 24/7/365 and responds when access, timings or instructions change. Agree any specific reporting requirements when booking.

Fully insured transport, with the load understood

Your equipment and stock matter to the event. Our fully insured transport is arranged against the goods, their value and the booked service, with applicable cover confirmed before collection. Specialist or high-value requirements are discussed up front so you know the arrangement you are buying.

Three generations of transport experience

Synergix is an independent family business built on three generations in transport. That experience informs the vehicle choice and planning, while the people managing your job remain accountable for it. You can reach the team making decisions when the event programme changes.

Buying the service

Buying festival traction for your business

Use the same clear brief for the quotation, site team and purchasing team. Agree the transport scope and responsibilities before the vehicle is committed.

Compare the complete quotation

Confirm trailer IDs, empty or loaded weights, mileage, collection and delivery windows, unit-and-driver duty, expected waiting and agreed positioning or uncoupling. Identify additional movements and returns. Trailer hire, refrigeration operation and installation are separate scopes.

Agree visibility and changes

Live tracking and proof of delivery are available. Specify your receiving contacts and reporting needs, and name the person authorised to change the booking. Our real operational team is available 24/7/365 when timing or access changes. A POD records the agreed handover; it does not certify installation or operation.

Supplier approval and repeat work

For a programme of movements, provide the calendar, trailer IDs, release times, intermediate locations and receiving contacts. Journey, site turnaround and driver scheduling determine the workable run sequence. Send supplier-approval and insurance requirements to the team before work starts. Applicable cover is confirmed for the goods, their value and the booked service. Purchase orders, invoicing, account terms, supporting documents and any extra reporting need individual agreement.

Festival traction

Questions before you book.

Practical answers about this service and your event requirements.

What is festival traction?

It is tractor-unit and driver support to move suitable customer trailers for festival work. The actual trailer, route, schedule and site handover are agreed before acceptance.

Do we provide the trailer?

Generally, yes. Our event trailer work is primarily traction only. Send the trailer specification and requirement; any separately needed trailer hire is a different arrangement.

Can you support both build-up and get-out?

Yes, where arranged. Include both programmes, trailer readiness, access windows and destinations. Build and breakdown site procedures may differ.

Can one unit make several runs?

Potentially, if trailer release, journey time, site turnaround and the driver/vehicle schedule allow it. We agree the run sequence and expected waiting.

Can you move loaded and empty trailers?

We assess both. Declare the load, actual weights and security for loaded movements. Empty trailers still need roadworthiness, coupling, clearance and access checks.

Can you move refrigerated festival trailers?

We can assess suitable trailer movements. Specify refrigeration needs during travel and agree temperature, fuel/power and operating responsibilities separately from static hire.

Can you move trailers around inside the festival?

Specify any site repositioning separately. Route, ground, vehicle permission, turning room and the exact task need assessment; unrestricted shunting is not assumed.

Can you recover a trailer from soft ground?

Do not assume recovery is included in traction. Explain the situation and ground conditions so the team can assess what specialist arrangement is required.

Do you provide overnight traction?

Out-of-hours movements can be discussed against trailer readiness, availability, driver scheduling and permitted site access. Send the actual window and programme.

What changes should we report before collection?

Tell us about altered loads, trailer condition, ready times, gates, routes or standing positions. Any of these can affect the combination, timing and price.

Is this the same as towing a small event trailer?

No. The core offer here is articulated tractor-unit and driver support for suitable trailers. Send the unit’s exact specification if you are unsure. A ball-hitch trailer, catering unit or mobile display is not automatically suitable for this service.

Which trailer details can I get from its owner?

Ask for its identity, coupling and connections, dimensions, plating/weight information, contents and current road-condition or defect information. Confirm release authority and the site position. Tell us what remains unknown so it can be resolved before acceptance.

Does dropping a refrigerated trailer include connecting its power?

Not automatically. Specify the required transport, positioning, refrigeration operation, fuel or power and handover duties. Static refrigerated hire is a separate arrangement, and any connection or operation responsibility must be agreed.
