Specialist fashion transport
Deliver the presentation as well as the stock.
A hanging collection and cartons of footwear need different load plans. Both deserve careful handling and a store service that fits.
Garments on hangers
Book the rail space the collection needs
Our specialist garment options include Luton vans equipped with hanging rails. Tell us garment quantity, length, rail-space requirement and protective covers. We confirm the actual rail layout and transfer method so hanging stock can travel without being treated as ordinary floor-loaded cartons.
Boxed fashion stock
Keep store allocations clear
Move boxed clothing, footwear and accessories in identified store allocations. Provide carton counts, sizes, weights and stacking restrictions. Where stock passes through Northampton, box receipt, audit and outbound counts support a clear handover.
Regular store delivery
A familiar person at the receiving point
Repeat routes give drivers practical knowledge of staff, access and stock locations. Delivery can be into a stockroom, designated area or another agreed receiving point, with timing and handling included in the service.
Collections and changes
Connect seasonal stock and returns
Support new ranges, store replenishment, seasonal changeovers and returns through a coordinated programme. Internal stock transfers can stay within the retail network in 24–72 hours, depending on the agreed service and budget.

Hanging coats, jackets and tailoring
Give garment count, approximate rail length, garment length and cover requirements. Bulky coats occupy different rail space from lighter items. Confirm whether stock transfers between fixed vehicle rails and store rails or uses another agreed arrangement.
Dresses and longer garments
Length and protection matter as well as the number of hangers. Identify items that must remain upright and clear of the floor, with any delicate finishes or non-compression requirements. The actual vehicle's rail height and usable capacity are confirmed before booking.
Boxed clothing and knitwear
Provide packed carton sizes, counts, weights and any limit on stacking. Keep the product and store references visible. We agree the checking level; counting closed cartons is different from auditing the individual garments inside.
Footwear and accessories
Shoeboxes, bags and accessories can produce mixed carton sizes and valuable small items. Keep packaging suitable for transport and identify each store allocation. Declare value and any particularly fragile or security-sensitive contents.
Samples and time-critical collections
A showroom sample, launch collection or replacement piece may need a dedicated direct movement. Give readiness, handling requirements and the latest useful arrival. Specialist rail vehicles need their own capacity and timing confirmation.
Returned and redistributed stock
Keep return references, store identity and condition clear. Separate resale stock from damaged goods and identify whether the destination is another store, the retailer's warehouse or agreed Northampton handling.

Plan the load and the unloading together
These are body-specific planning guides. Door openings, wheel arches, curtainsider bodies and carried equipment change usable space and payload. For a MOFFETT delivery, confirm load weight and centre of gravity, fork access, suitable ground and the placement area. A carried forklift is different from a HIAB crane or a tail lift.
Use LoadCheck for an initial space estimate, or send the packed dimensions, weights and store access details to our team. Where pallet-truck handling is needed for a loaded pallet of 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. Lighter pallets can also need powered handling where the surface, gradient or carrying distance makes manual movement unsuitable. Actual platform capacity, ground and the unloading route still need checking.
How the service works
Plan the rails and the store handover.
The conversion matters
Floor dimensions do not tell you hanging capacity.
The standard vehicle guides remain useful, but hanging-stock capacity needs its own confirmation.
Quantity and rail space
Describe the collection, not just the van size
Send garment numbers, hanging length, bulk, covers and the rail space you normally use. Photographs of the prepared collection can help the team understand the load without guessing capacity from a standard Luton box.
Transfer at each end
Keep the handover practical
Agree who loads, how garments move to the vehicle rails and how they are received in store. Give doorway widths, steps, lifts and the carrying route. If movable garment rails travel with the stock, declare their packed size, weight and return requirement.
Protection
Retain the presentation needed for sale
Provide suitable covers and identify garments needing separation or extra care. Loading and restraint are agreed around the stock. We protect presentation through the planned handling without promising that every fabric is inherently crease-proof.
High-value requirements
Set the appropriate service level
Tell us the maximum stock value, handover permissions and any additional security expectation. We tailor the movement and confirm applicable cover. Particular security measures and reporting formats are agreed for the contract.
A fashion retail partner
Fit the delivery around the shop.
Receiving stock should support the store team and its trading day.
- Plan the window
Agree delivery days, launch deadlines and any shopping-centre bookings.
- Know the access
Record parking, pedestrian restrictions, carrying routes and stock placement.
- Complete the handover
Deliver to the agreed location and record the required quantities and receipt.
- Close the loop
Collect declared returned stock, reusable containers and agreed packaging.
A practical starting point
Booking this service for the first time.
Use the information your warehouse, supplier and receiving team already hold. You can start a discussion before every detail is final, provided estimates and missing information are clear.
Choose the load presentation
Hanging garments, cartons or both
Tell us what must remain hanging and what can travel boxed. Give garment quantities and lengths, including covers and bulky items such as coats. Floor dimensions or a hanger count alone do not show the rail space the load needs.
Measure the rail requirement
Ask the dispatch or merchandising team
Provide the total occupied rail length, the longest garment and whether stock travels on fixed vehicle rails or mobile garment rails. For mobile rails, measure the complete loaded rail, including wheels and any overhang. Confirm who transfers garments at each end.
Plan the store handover
Check entrances and presentation needs
Ask the receiver about door widths, lifts, stairs, carrying distance and where hanging stock is accepted. Explain whether covers stay on and whether empty rails or cartons return. Agree any unpacking or placement work before collection.
Declare sensitive stock
Start with a sample if the range varies
Give the goods value, fragile trims, special packing and any security requirements. If the full load is not final, send representative garment and rail measurements with photos and provisional quantities. Capacity, handling and applicable cover are confirmed for the booking.
An accountable retail partner
Care for the stock and the store.
Presentation, suitable rail space and a practical transfer method matter as much as the destination postcode.
Relevant retail work
A service built around the actual operation
Specialist Luton hanging-rail options and boxed fashion transport are matched to the garment profile. Rail length, garment length and transfer arrangements are planned before collection.
A practical service plan
Match the work to your requirement
Familiar drivers on regular store routes learn the receiving entrance, staff and stock location. That makes repeat fashion deliveries easier for the store team.
Clear handovers
Keep quantities and responsibilities visible
The agreed carton, rail or other counting unit gives both ends a clear handover. A garment-by-garment inventory or extra condition check is defined separately.
Insured and visible
Follow the booked movement
Fully insured transport, live tracking, proof-of-delivery records and our customer portal support the booked movement. Declare goods and value so applicable cover can be confirmed. Portal access does not imply automatic stock alerts, item-level checks or an integration.
People behind the plan
Experience and operational support
Three generations of family transport experience support an owner-led business trusted with demanding retail work. Our operations team is available 24/7, with account management arranged around the contract.
An urgent alternative
Help when stock cannot wait
A separately booked dedicated courier movement can support urgent stock, parts or campaign material. UK-wide courier collections are available within 60 minutes for many bookings, subject to location, vehicle and confirmation. This response does not apply automatically to specialist trucks or port collection.
Make the return journey work
Deliver. Collect. Reuse.
Retail logistics can join the outward delivery and the return requirement in one planned operation.
Productive return legs
Bring something useful back
Plan returns, reusable delivery containers and agreed packaging collections into the returning store route. That uses the journey for more than the outward stock delivery and can reduce separate collection trips, fuel use and associated CO₂ emissions.
Reuse and recycling
Keep materials in the loop
In our established retail operation, collected clear garment plastic and cardboard are recycled through a partner, with records retained. Reusable delivery containers return for the next cycle. Agree materials, separation and collection quantities for your own programme.
Plan the service and price
Tell us how your stores work.
Send the garment presentation and store requirement with your collection details. We will confirm the right vehicle and handling.
- Hanging or boxedGarment types, hanger quantities, carton counts and mixed-load details.

A tariff that fits the operation
The quote depends on the actual rail-equipped vehicle or boxed-stock capacity, collection and store locations, delivery frequency, receiving time and return requirements. Garment quantity alone does not determine the space. We can agree vehicle, box or other appropriate contract pricing around the presentation and level of service.
For retail transport and purchasing teams
Assess the service behind the rate.
Use a clear operating brief to compare the service and agree responsibility, records and commercial arrangements before work starts.
Presentation and transfer
Specify the garment-handling outcome
Define which stock stays hanging, the rail arrangement, covers, transfer responsibility and agreed placement. Include boxed goods and returned rails. Confirm whether counts are cartons, rails or another agreed unit rather than assuming a garment-by-garment inventory.
Visibility and care
Make the handover requirements explicit
Agree proof of delivery, quantity records and how a packaging or condition concern is raised. Declare stock value and special handling needs early. Protection comes from a suitable agreed method, not an unconditional promise that every garment will remain crease-free.
Commercial comparison
Compare like-for-like rail and store work
Use the same garment profile, occupied rail length, receiving times and placement requirements when comparing quotes. Add collection of empty rails or returns, waiting and any extra handling to the brief.
Supplier approval
Discuss value and purchasing requirements
Send the brief and your approval requirements to sales. Discuss applicable cover and any proposed security measures privately. Purchase orders, invoicing, payment and recurring-work terms need agreement for the proposed service.
Read our standard trading terms before booking. Send your programme and supplier approval requirements to sales@synergixsameday.com, or call 01782 911 181 to discuss regular work.
Answers before you book
Fashion and hanging garment transport questions.
Practical answers about the service, handling, information and commercial arrangements.
Do you transport garments on hangers?
Yes. Specialist options include Luton vans fitted with hanging rails. Give the garment quantities, rail-space requirement, length and protection so the actual vehicle capacity can be confirmed.
Can you transport boxed clothing and footwear too?
Yes. Boxed clothing, footwear and accessories can be included in a suitable fashion delivery plan. Provide carton counts, packed dimensions, weights and store allocations.
How many garments fit in a vehicle?
It depends on garment bulk, length, rail layout and protective requirements. Standard Luton floor dimensions do not establish a hanger capacity. Share your collection details so we can confirm the actual space.
Can garments travel on mobile rails?
Tell us the rail dimensions, loaded weight, wheel and securing arrangements. The loading, restraint, transfer and return requirements need agreement for the actual vehicle.
Will you count the individual garments?
Agree the checking level before booking. Carton counts, hanger quantities, style references and individual item audits are different tasks. We do not assume a full item-level audit from a transport booking.
Can you deliver from an RDC to our stores?
Yes. We can arrange repeat warehouse-to-store routes, directly or through agreed Northampton sorting. Store allocations, stock presentation and receiving windows shape the programme.
Can the driver put the stock in our stockroom?
Yes, as part of the agreed store service. Provide access, carrying distance, stairs and placement requirements, including how hanging stock is transferred.
Can you deliver at night?
Yes. Agreed out-of-hours store deliveries can use vetted keyholding drivers. Access permissions and the designated stock location are set up before the service begins.
Can you handle valuable fashion stock?
Declare the goods, value, handling and security requirements. We confirm the service and applicable cover, including any additional arrangements needed for the stock.
Can you transfer stock between stores?
Yes. Internal transfers within the retail network can be arranged in 24–72 hours depending on service and budget, with the presentation and receiving requirements agreed.
Can you collect garment packaging for recycling?
Clear garment plastic and cardboard can form part of an agreed retail collection programme. In our established retail operation those collected materials are recycled through a partner, with records retained.
Can you provide urgent fashion delivery?
Yes. Dedicated courier support can handle urgent suitable stock. The collection window and any specialist hanging-rail capacity are confirmed for the actual booking.
