What Synergix provides

Building Supplies and Site Delivery

Site delivery brings the goods, vehicle and receiving team together. We plan palletised materials, packs and awkward loads around access and unloading, with MOFFETT, HIAB or tail-lift arrangements where suitable. Material supply, installation and unrestricted on-site distribution are not automatic parts of the transport booking.

Keep work moving

Plan around material readiness

Give the supplier reference and the point at which the goods will be ready, as well as the site deadline. Identify which materials are critical to the next stage of work so the right consignment is collected and the receiving team is ready.

Choose unloading

Match the equipment to the job

A forklift, loader crane and tail lift solve different problems. Confirm load weights, packaging, ground and the required position. A site without a forklift may suit a MOFFETT or HIAB, but the actual operation still needs assessment.

Customers, goods and situations

Connect supplier release with the site programme

Get packed materials, long goods or urgent site items from the supplier to a prepared receiving team. The correct gate, unloading arrangement and latest useful arrival help the delivery support the next work phase.

Who needs building-material delivery?

A useful site movement connects the supplier’s release with a prepared receiving team and the actual unloading requirement.

Contractors and trades

Get the next work phase supplied

A missing component or released pack of materials can hold up a planned task. Identify the latest useful arrival and whether a smaller urgent consignment can solve the immediate need, with the remaining materials scheduled separately.

Merchants and manufacturers

Deliver an agreed customer order

Send the released packed load and collection reference, with the receiving site’s access and handling details. Supplier and site contacts help resolve a short order, changed packaging or receiving issue before it becomes a failed visit.

Project and landscaping teams

Match heavy packs to the set-down area

Bricks, timber, paving and similar packed materials can need different vehicles and unloading equipment. Show the complete route and prepared receiving area; an accessible gate alone does not establish forklift travel or crane placement.

Types of loads we transport

Select a category for the details that change the transport plan.

  • Bricks, blocks and palletised materials
  • Timber, sheet materials and long packs
  • Steel and fabricated components
  • Equipment and urgent site items
Bricks, blocks and palletised materials

Provide loaded pallet weights and sizes, packaging condition and quantities. A heavy pallet can affect vehicle payload and handling even when the overall order looks small. Include any pack splitting or placement request in the brief.

Timber, sheet materials and long packs

Length, bundle stability and weather protection matter. Send full dimensions and support instructions. An enclosed vehicle, curtainsider or open deck may be appropriate depending on the material and loading method.

Steel and fabricated components

Give drawings, gross weight, lifting/support points and any sharp edges or delicate finish. Crane unloading or a long vehicle must be planned with access, reach and set-down space checked.

Equipment and urgent site items

Tools, components and suitable equipment can use the vehicle size appropriate to the job. For an urgent small item, dedicated courier collection may help recover a delay without booking a large truck unnecessarily.

Jobs to plan together

These examples explain an enquiry brief. Your load and site determine the actual arrangement.

The job

Merchant collection for an active project

Materials are ready at a supplier and needed for a booked work phase. Send order references, packed quantities and site unloading details so collection and delivery fit together.

The job

A site without a forklift

The material needs self-unloading transport. Pack weights, lifting details and site photographs help decide whether a MOFFETT, HIAB or another arrangement is appropriate.

Vehicles and equipment

Explore the Synergix vehicle range

This is our wider fleet overview. The correct body, access, equipment and working capacity are confirmed for the named service and your goods. Each illustrated configuration has its own role; the overview does not mean every vehicle performs every service.

From brief to completion

How the service works

Agree the goods, timing, equipment and responsibilities so collection and handover follow one workable plan.

  1. Check the supplier release

Confirm the order reference, exact packed materials, weights, goods-ready time and loading contact. Explain anything being left for a later collection.

  2. Brief the receiving site

Send the correct gate, route restrictions, slot, unloading area and active site contact. Identify required equipment and any placement beyond normal unloading.

  3. Agree the transport and handover

Confirm vehicle, loading/unloading responsibilities, site requirements, timing and quotation. Separate urgent items from phased or return work.

  4. Prepare, collect and deliver

The supplier releases the agreed goods and the site makes the booked receiving arrangement available. Report changed readiness, access or equipment before the movement proceeds.

  5. Record receipt and exceptions

Delivery confirmation records the handover, with shortages, damage or access concerns raised through the agreed contacts. Returns or a revised delivery need their own agreed plan.

Practical booking help

Prepare the merchant and receiving-site brief

Start with reliable goods information and the people releasing and receiving the consignment. Flag missing details rather than guessing.

Loading, unloading and access

Give us the actual conditions at both ends so the equipment and service can be agreed before dispatch.

Check 01

The actual entrance

Give the delivery gate, approach roads, height/width/weight restrictions and turning room. A postcode can lead to the wrong entrance. Send site directions and a named contact.

Check 02

Unloading and placement

State who provides the equipment, who controls the unloading area and where the goods must be left. Carrying, repeated on-site moves, crane placement and opening packs need an agreed scope.

Check 03

Timing and site rules

Send delivery slots, inductions, PPE/access rules and any accreditation requirement early. We check suitability before booking rather than claim universal approval for every construction site.

Booking your first site delivery

Collect the information from the merchant and site team. We can then assess the vehicle and unloading together.

Ask the supplier

Get the packed transport details

Use the order or packing schedule, with package count, packed dimensions and gross weights including pallet/bearers. Add any long projections, weather-sensitive finishes or lifting instructions. Confirm release authority, readiness and the equipment used to load. Flag uncertain figures rather than estimating a heavy pack.

Ask the site

Show the gate and working route

Provide the actual delivery entrance, approach restrictions, turning area, slot and named receiver. Ask for site traffic instructions, induction and required approval/equipment details before booking. Keep delivery activity separated from pedestrians and other site operations through the site’s agreed controls.

Choose the handling scope

Say where the materials must finish

A tail lift lowers compatible goods to a suitable receiving surface. A MOFFETT carries suitable loads on forks along an assessed ground route. A HIAB performs an assessed lift. Show the exact position, surface, distance and obstacles, and declare any separate carrying or repeated distribution around the site.

Timing and price factors

A clear brief lets us quote the service your work needs.

Coverage and availability

Agree the workable schedule

One-off and repeat UK site deliveries can be planned around supplier readiness and site windows. Suitable urgent courier collections can be available within 60 minutes, subject to location and availability. Specialist trucks and unloading equipment are confirmed separately.

Quotation

What affects the price

The material size/weight, route, vehicle, unloading method, site time, waiting and appointment restrictions affect the quote. Supply a complete material schedule and explain any placement beyond normal unloading.

Agree the delivery responsibilities and changes

A useful quotation covers the material release, transport and receiving operation, with any extra handling visible from the start.

Operating brief

Coordinate suppliers and work phases

List suppliers, release references, goods, firm dates, forecasts, receiving space, site slots and return movements. Agree who can authorise substitutions, partial collections or changed positions and who reports readiness or access problems. Tracking and POD support the handover; request extra reporting explicitly.

Supplier and commercial review

Raise site requirements before commitment

Send exact accreditation, vehicle, competence and cover requirements to sales for review against the booked task. Discuss waiting, extra stops, changed equipment, carrying and redelivery before commitment. Provide PO and invoice references and any proposed account/payment requirements for agreement.

Useful booking questions

Building supplies and site delivery FAQs

Direct answers to the choices and practical requirements that affect this service.

Can you collect from a builders’ merchant?

Yes. Give the order reference, goods-ready time, packed dimensions and weight, collection rules and the site delivery details. The merchant must release the correct goods.

Can you deliver without a site forklift?

Yes, where suitable self-unloading transport is agreed. MOFFETT, HIAB and tail-lift options have different load, surface and access requirements, which must be checked.

Can materials be placed where the trades need them?

An accessible placement point can be discussed. Provide distance, ground, obstacles and any lifting requirement. Transport does not automatically include unrestricted movement around the site.

Can you deliver long timber or steel?

Suitable long loads can be assessed. Send the full length, width, weight, packaging and support/lifting instructions so a suitable body and route can be selected.

Do you supply the materials?

This page covers transport of your goods. The supplier order, quantities and release authority need to be arranged. Material purchase is not automatically included.

Can you work to a booked site slot?

Yes, subject to planning. Send the slot, gate, induction requirements and last acceptance time, with a site contact who can authorise unloading.

Does every delivery vehicle have a tail lift?

No. Equipment must be specified. The vehicle, platform capacity, loaded weight, dimensions and receiving ground must suit the job.

What about an 800 kg pallet?

Where pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet of 800 kg or more, arrange an electric pump truck. Lower weights can also need powered equipment after assessment.

Can you meet a site accreditation requirement?

Tell us the exact requirement before booking. Suitability and evidence must be checked for the actual vehicle and job. No blanket accreditation claim is made.

Can you collect unused materials afterwards?

Returns can be arranged if the goods, packaging, supplier acceptance and loading method are confirmed. Include the return movement in the quote or contact us before the plan changes.

What should I ask the merchant before arranging collection?

Ask for the release reference, goods-ready time, collection opening hours and the packed quantity, outer dimensions and gross weight of each pack or pallet. Confirm who loads the vehicle and whether there are collection bookings or account/release conditions. Send the actual collected load details, rather than assuming the product’s loose or unit dimensions describe the transport package.

Can you split deliveries around the phases of a project?

Yes, a phased programme can be assessed. Give the goods and supplier for each collection, required dates or work phases, receiving space and unloading arrangements. State which dates are firm and how changes will be authorised. A programme still needs confirmed releases and suitable capacity for each agreed movement.

Does site delivery include carrying materials inside or upstairs?

Only when that additional handling is specifically agreed. Identify the whole route, distances, stairs/lifts, doorways, item weights and required finish point before quoting. A tail lift, MOFFETT or crane solves a particular unloading task; it does not automatically include unpacking, hand-carrying, installation or distributing goods around the building.
