01 / Same-day & dedicated courier
Neath courier.
A direct delivery.
If a missing component is holding up production, an event is waiting for its equipment or a customer needs stock today, call with the actual deadline. We arrange dedicated collection and delivery between the agreed points, without a parcel-network sorting hub.
Urgent business consignments
Documents, engineering parts, samples, tools, print, boxed stock and IT equipment can all need a dedicated courier. The smallest suitable vehicle depends on the packaged goods, not the label “parcel”. Send the quantity, dimensions and weights.
A server, delicate prototype or finished component needs packaging that protects it during loading and travel. Tell us if it must stay upright, cannot be stacked or needs a named recipient.
Pallets and bulky items
Courier work can include a suitable pallet or bulky consignment. We check the vehicle aperture, usable space, payload and unloading method. A pallet does not automatically fit a van just because it fits on the floor.
For heavier loads, several pallets or specialised unloading, see the haulage guidance. You can enquire without choosing the lorry first.
How quickly can we collect?
A Neath van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call for an estimate for your actual job. A rigid, artic, refrigerated body or specialist handling arrangement needs its own availability check.
Collection speed is only part of the plan. Tell us when the goods will be released, how long loading will take and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. For a wharf or engineering unit, confirm that the goods are released and the correct contact can receive the vehicle. For a shop, campus or venue, agree the receiving slot and loading point before dispatch.
Neath collections and onward UK delivery
A precision part for Neath Abbey, urgent stock for a Windsor Road shop and equipment for a college or venue need different receiving instructions. Give the precise unit or department, goods entrance, ready time and named contact, with the packed dimensions, individual weights and protection requirements.
We assess collections across Neath, Neath Abbey, Skewen, Briton Ferry and surrounding business areas. For onward UK delivery, the plan uses the actual release time and latest receiving deadline. Tracking and electronic proof of delivery can be agreed for the booking. A wharf or estate postcode needs the specific goods entrance.
Updates, proof of delivery and repeat work
Our team remains your contact for the movement. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree any named-recipient, signature, photograph or reference requirements when booking.
We also assess scheduled supplier collections, branch transfers, multi-stop work and repeat courier routes. Phones are answered 24/7/365. The vehicle, crew and access at each end are confirmed for the booking.
02 / General & dedicated haulage
Neath haulage.
Planned around the load.
For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.
Dedicated pallet transport
Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.
We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.
Full loads, part loads and repeat work
A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.
Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.
Choose the body as well as the lorry size
Box and curtainsider
A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.
Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift
Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.
Temperature-controlled loads
Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.
Articulated and specialist trailers
Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.
Getting it off matters just as much
Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.
When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.
Timed deliveries and urgent haulage
For Neath engineering, packed materials and road movements from river wharves, supply the unit or wharf, goods gate, release reference and loading slot. Send individual weights, footprints and lengths, with any lifting points or securing instructions. The allocated rigid or artic needs an appropriate legal approach and turning space, with equipment confirmed at both ends.
Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.
Local work. Different requirements.
Transport shaped
by Neath.
Neath's precision engineering, working river wharves, retail, college and venue activity bring different transport needs. Match the vehicle and handling plan to the actual goods, from a protected component to packed stock or a heavier load with a booked handover.
Precision engineering
Parts and tools need protective packing
Llanelec identifies its Neath Abbey Business Park address and precision-component work for military-vehicle running gear, alongside aviation machining capability. This provides local defence and aerospace engineering context. It does not establish a Synergix customer relationship, security clearance or acceptance of a regulated consignment.
For packed components, tools or equipment, give the dimensions, individual weights, value and protection requirements. Explain fragile finishes, orientation and any crate or fixture. Name the authorised receiver and agree the reference or handover record before dispatch.
River wharves and industrial materials
Use the actual wharf and cargo gate
Neath Port Authority describes independently operated wharves along the lower River Neath, including Briton Ferry. Its cargo information includes steel, containers and general cargo. A road collection needs the actual wharf, released consignment and tenant, rather than the authority's town-centre office address.
Send the release reference, slot, goods gate, contact and loading equipment. Describe bundles, long items, crates or fragile finishes, with individual weights and lifting points. Marine services, lifting, customs clearance and acceptance of regulated loads need their own arrangements.
Shops, stock and regular distribution
A receiving plan for each delivery
For town-centre stock, a trade unit or repeated industrial collections around Neath, give the exact goods entrance and receiving time. A shopfront or estate postcode may cover several doors and bays. Explain references, quantities and any final-handling requirements before choosing the body.
We assess regular haulage and retail distribution from the actual schedule and load details. Warehousing, cross-docking and two-person handling can be discussed where useful. Confirm individual pallet or item weights, footprints, stacking limits and equipment at each receiving point.
Education, arts and events
Campus and venue goods instructions
NPTC Group identifies Neath College on Dwr-y-Felin Road, and the council identifies Gwyn Hall on Orchard Street. For teaching equipment, packed materials or an event enquiry, obtain the department or organiser's current receiving instructions. Student, visitor and box-office directions are separate from goods access.
Provide the slot, named contact, packed size and individual weights. Explain steps, final placement or two-person handling needs. Event refrigeration enquiries also need positioning space, power requirements and a later collection plan, with site availability and access agreed for the actual job.
Local sector context: Llanelec engineering context and Neath Port Authority information and Gwyn Hall council information. Named organisations provide local context, not claims of Synergix customers.
↑ Back to guide menuThe last mile matters
Routes, loading
& site access.
Check Neath's current road conditions and the final receiving point for the allocated vehicle. Engineering units, riverside wharves, town-centre shops and campus or venue sites need their own goods entrance, equipment and handover instructions.
Current local and trunk-road conditions
The council publishes current local roadworks and directs drivers to Traffic Wales for motorway and trunk-road information. For Neath Abbey, Skewen or a valley address, use the actual date and receiving point when checking the approach. An older work notice or diversion may no longer describe the journey.
Give both full addresses, packed load details and approach limits. For a larger vehicle, describe low clearances, bridges, narrow entrances, gradients and turning space. The final yard or unloading point can need a different arrangement from the main-road journey.
Neath Abbey and industrial receiving
For Neath Abbey Business Park, Skewen or other industrial units, supply the street, unit and goods gate. Give the ready time, reference, slot and authorised contact. Explain identification, induction or protective-equipment requirements before dispatch, rather than relying on a general office address.
Confirm the loading equipment for each item's weight and footprint. A dock, forklift, side-loading body, tail lift and crane serve different purposes. Explain delicate finishes, long pieces and securing points so the vehicle and handover can be assessed together.
Working wharves and Briton Ferry
The port authority's general information distinguishes the lower river's independent wharves from its office at Castle Walk in Neath. Obtain the operator's actual road cargo entrance, release instructions and slot. A marina, public riverside route or authority office is not a freight collection point.
Confirm the tenant, contact and equipment, including any vehicle or site-entry limit. Tell us whether goods have been released and who will load them. A ship arrival, port postcode or published marine facility does not reserve lifting or establish a road consignment's readiness.
Town centre, college and venue access
For a Neath shop, ask for the authorised goods entrance, receiving hours and bay arrangement, then check the current signs and street controls. Visitor parking or public opening times do not reserve a loading place. Explain barriers, steps and final-handling needs before booking.
For Neath College or Gwyn Hall, obtain the department or organiser's goods instructions and named contact. Agree delivery and later collection slots separately where needed. A student bus stop, visitor entrance or box-office postcode does not identify the unloading point for your equipment.
Confirm the last few metres
Describe the ground, slope, kerb, steps, loading bay and final placement. Photos help with a narrow yard or awkward entrance. A tail lift lowers goods; it does not move a pallet over gravel, up steps or through a doorway.
Neath and surrounding areas
Where is your
collection?
We assess collections and deliveries across Neath and the surrounding area, with onward UK transport. These groups help describe the job. They are coverage areas, not Synergix branch locations or fixed service boundaries.
Neath town and nearby districts
Town centre, Windsor Road, Orchard Street, Melincryddan, Cimla, Cadoxton, Bryncoch and nearby commercial areas.
Give the goods entrance, receiving time and loading arrangement. Check signed access controls for the actual address.
Neath Abbey, Skewen and river industry
Neath Abbey Business Park, Skewen, Briton Ferry, working river wharves and surrounding industrial units.
Identify the unit or wharf, operator, goods gate, release reference, slot and loading equipment. Site entry needs its own instructions.
Vale of Neath and surrounding sites
Tonna, Aberdulais, Cilfrew, Resolven, Blaengwrach, Glynneath and surrounding commercial or rural addresses.
Send full addresses and approach information, including clearances, ground and turning space. Availability is assessed for the actual job.
Wider connections and onward UK work
Llandarcy, Jersey Marine, Baglan, Port Talbot and Swansea enquiries, with wider UK transport assessed from the actual goods addresses.
These are surrounding or onward areas rather than branches. Give the packed load and receiving deadlines to agree the vehicle and journey.

What affects the price?
Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.
For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Neath mileage price that fits every load.
What happens if something changes?
Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.
An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book
Neath transport
questions answered.
Courier, timing and delivery
How quickly can you collect in Neath?
A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the exact address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and delivery deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated bodies and specialist equipment need their own positioning and availability check.
Can you deliver from Neath to another part of the UK on the same day?
It may be possible, depending on when the goods are released, loading time, vehicle position, distance, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete job before agreeing the delivery plan.
What can a dedicated courier carry?
Courier work can include documents, parts, samples, print, IT equipment, technical cases, boxed stock and suitable bulky or palletised goods. Give the packaged dimensions, quantities and individual weights so we can assess the vehicle, loading and receiving arrangements.
Will a dedicated courier load stay on the same vehicle?
It normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about extra stops, returns or unusual route requirements so the arrangement is clear before booking.
Can I call at night or at the weekend?
Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the load and confirm a suitable vehicle and plan. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the agreed times.
How will I receive delivery updates and proof of delivery?
Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and evidence you need when booking, including a named recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference.
Haulage, vehicles and unloading
Do I need a courier or a haulage arrangement?
Start with the goods and deadline. An urgent part, technical case or suitable pallet may need a courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat loads may need haulage. Send the load and site details and we will help you choose.
Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Neath?
Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with collection, delivery and a suitable vehicle agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and loading at both ends. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.
Can you discuss full loads, part loads and regular deliveries?
Yes. Full loads, regular haulage and supported part-load arrangements can be discussed. Agree the body, loading, collection window and delivery plan. Part-load availability is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.
How do I choose a van or lorry, and can LoadCheck help?
Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and overhang. Enter packaged dimensions, weights and quantities into LoadCheck for an initial size estimate. Our team confirms actual fit, usable payload, apertures, restraint, equipment, access and availability.
What if the delivery site has no forklift?
Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed crew may be an option, depending on the goods and site. Send item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, ground conditions and final placement. These handling methods solve different problems and must be agreed.
When must I request an electric pump truck?
Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets may also need powered handling. Platform load, footprint, ground and the actual equipment still need checking.
Can you assess a crane or mounted-forklift delivery?
Yes. Send the precise goods, individual weights, dimensions, lifting points or fork access, required placement and photographs of the unloading area. Crane reach and support conditions differ from forklift access. Suitability, equipment and availability are confirmed for the job.
Can you arrange refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?
We can assess both, with the product, required temperature and handover agreed. Refrigerated transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Tell us which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.
Neath access and local handovers
What helps with a Neath Abbey engineering collection?
Give the exact unit and goods gate, ready time, reference and authorised contact. Send packed dimensions, individual weights and protection instructions, including any fragile finish, orientation or crate. Explain induction or paperwork needs and the loading equipment available. Suitability is assessed for the stated goods and site.
Should a cargo collection use the Neath Port Authority office address?
Ask the wharf operator for the actual road cargo entrance. The authority's Castle Walk office is separate from the independent working wharves along the lower river. Supply the wharf, tenant, release reference, slot, contact and loading equipment, with the consignment ready and authorised for the agreed handover.
Can you assess a pallet or heavier load from the Neath area?
Yes, with the actual loaded footprint, height and individual weights. Say how it will be loaded and unloaded, including equipment and space at both ends. We assess the body, payload, securing and access together. A pallet size alone does not prove it fits a particular van or can be safely handled.
Can you collect from up the Vale of Neath?
We assess surrounding valley enquiries using full addresses, the packed load and receiving deadline. Tell us about narrow approaches, low clearances, gradients, ground and turning space. Give the contact and unloading point so the vehicle can be chosen for the actual site. A map pin does not establish HGV access.
What should a Neath College or Gwyn Hall delivery confirm?
Obtain the department or organiser's current goods entrance, receiving slot and named contact. Send the packed size, individual weights and final-handling needs. Student or visitor directions and public opening times do not identify the equipment unloading point. Plan later collection separately where required.
Where should current Neath roadworks be checked?
The council's local roadworks page gives dated works and points to Traffic Wales for motorway and trunk-road information. Check the actual booking date and approach for the allocated vehicle, with the receiver's instructions and signed restrictions. An old closure or diversion should not be assumed to remain in force.
Price, booking and changes
What affects the price of a Neath courier or haulage job?
Vehicle positioning, route distance, body type, deadline, waiting, loading, extra stops, handling equipment and additional labour affect the quote. Send accurate goods and site details. We price the actual arrangement rather than applying one mileage rate to every load.
How do I book, and what happens if the job changes?
Request a quote or call with both addresses, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, quantities, ready time, deadline, contacts and handling at both ends. We confirm the vehicle, plan and price for the booking. Tell us promptly about added goods, delayed release or a changed slot so we can reassess.
Can you discuss warehousing, retail distribution or two-person delivery?
Yes. Send the usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person handling can be considered within a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.
