Your load.
The right vehicle.

Browse the van, rigid, articulated and specialist options, then open a vehicle guide for dimensions, body types and loading advice. You can ask for a particular vehicle or let us work from your load details.

Vehicle illustrations show example bodies. We confirm the actual vehicle, usable space, payload and equipment for your booking. Specialist configurations are subject to suitability and availability.

01 / Same-day & dedicated courier

Macclesfield courier.
A direct delivery.

When equipment, a replacement part or commercial stock needs a direct journey, start with what is ready and who can receive it. We arrange dedicated collection and delivery around the agreed addresses, packed load and deadline.

Precision parts, instruments and business goods

Macclesfield's machining, pharmaceutical and technical workplaces can need urgent components, tooling, IT equipment or protected instruments. Give the releasing business, unit, reference and time the load will actually be ready.

State fragile surfaces, upright-only cases, non-stackability and any specialist packing or restraint instruction. Samples, batteries, medicines or chemicals need their exact nature and acceptance requirements discussed before transport is agreed.

Stock, cases and suitable pallets

A courier enquiry can involve commercial stock and suitable pallets as well as documents. Include the complete packed footprint, height, quantity and individual weights. Packaging or a projecting machine part can change which vehicle fits.

Tell us how the goods will be loaded and unloaded. Compare payload, door clearance and equipment rather than volume alone. For heavier freight, the haulage guidance covers rigids, artics and body options; we can help you assess the choice.

Ready time, vehicle and receiving deadline

A van collection in Macclesfield may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the actual location, goods and suitable vehicle availability. Call for an estimate for your job. Rigids, artics and specialist equipment need a separate availability check.

At an industrial or laboratory site, a release reference, receiving contact and correct gate can be essential to a workable deadline. Confirm that packing, loading staff and equipment are ready. An appointment or recipient's latest receiving time matters more than the site's general opening hours.

Local collection and onward UK delivery

For Hurdsfield, Silk Road businesses, Crompton Road workshops or town-centre stock, give the actual freight entrance. Nearby Alderley Park, Bollington, Prestbury and Adlington have their own addresses and handovers. Both postcodes and receiving times shape a local transfer or onward UK movement.

The ready time, route and latest receiving time determine whether a same-day movement is achievable. European work also needs goods documents and customs responsibilities agreed. A collection estimate is not a delivery guarantee.

Updates and repeat collections

Our team remains your point of contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the recipient, updates and any signature, photograph or reference requirement when booking.

Scheduled supplier runs, stock transfers and out-of-hours enquiries can also be discussed. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing, vehicle allocation and site access are confirmed for the booking.

02 / General & dedicated haulage

Macclesfield haulage.
Planned around the load.

For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.

Dedicated pallet transport

Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.

We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.

Full loads, part loads and repeat work

A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.

Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.

Choose the body as well as the lorry size

Box and curtainsider

A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.

Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift

Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.

Temperature-controlled loads

Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.

Articulated and specialist trailers

Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.

Getting it off matters just as much

Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.

When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.

Read our tail-lift and pallet-truck guidance.

Timed deliveries and urgent haulage

A booked goods-in slot at Hurdsfield, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.

Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.

Local work. Different requirements.

Transport shaped
by Macclesfield.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing, precision machining and industrial businesses shape Macclesfield's transport needs. Nearby Alderley Park adds a separate science-campus context, which should not be confused with AstraZeneca's Macclesfield manufacturing site. The named organisations establish local context, not Synergix customer relationships. The transport examples help identify the goods, handling and receiving details needed for an enquiry.

AstraZeneca Macclesfield

Equipment and manufacturing-site support

AstraZeneca's current UK site information identifies Macclesfield as a manufacturing, science and technology hub. Maintenance parts, packaging, IT hardware or equipment are examples of different supporting transport enquiries.

Describe the exact goods and department, with packed sizes, weights, release and receiving references. Medicines, samples, chemicals and temperature-sensitive products need specific acceptance and transport conditions assessed. The local industry does not establish a Synergix pharmaceutical certification or customer relationship.

Bollin Dale precision engineering

Machined components, aerospace and defence supply

Bollin Dale's own information establishes Macclesfield precision machining and experience in aerospace, defence and other technical sectors. Protected components, tooling and prototype assemblies can require careful packing and a named recipient.

Give the complete packed dimensions, individual weights, surface protection and handling instructions. For heavier assemblies, include lifting points or fork access. This is researched supply-chain context; it does not establish Synergix defence approvals or acceptance of controlled goods.

Hurdsfield industrial area

Production stock and workshop loads

Cheshire East identifies Hurdsfield Industrial Estate as a strategic employment area. An industrial enquiry can range from replacement tools and boxed spares to palletised stock or a machine needing a planned freight movement.

Identify the exact tenant, unit and goods gate. Send quantity, packed footprint and weight, with the loading method at both ends. Check yard room, doors and receiving times. An estate address alone does not establish suitable access for a long vehicle.

Nearby Alderley Park

Laboratory and technology handovers

Bruntwood SciTech's Mereside information establishes laboratory and office activity at Alderley Park, outside Macclesfield town centre. Instruments, equipment cases and business hardware are examples that need a specific building and tenant handover.

Give the tenant, department, building, authorised receiver and appointment. Describe the nature of any sample, battery or temperature-sensitive item before acceptance. A campus visitor direction does not identify a freight bay or prove that a department can receive the load.

Local context: AstraZeneca UK sites, Bollin Dale Engineering, Mereside at Alderley Park.

The last mile matters

Routes, loading
& site access.

Industrial gates, multi-tenant science buildings and narrower town or rural approaches need an address-specific plan. The actual goods entrance and unloading arrangement determine the final approach for the assigned vehicle.

Silk Road and A-road connections

The A523, A537 and A536 connect Macclesfield with surrounding Cheshire and Greater Manchester. Select the approach to the actual unit or building, using current signs and conditions rather than a generic town-centre route.

Tell us about height, weight, turning and reversing limits. A familiar car route or nearby road connection does not certify a suitable HGV approach. The full address and vehicle specification matter together.

Hurdsfield and manufacturing goods gates

For a factory or industrial unit, obtain the current freight gate, department, release reference and booked slot. Identify the staff who can release and accept the consignment.

Share security, induction, PPE and advance driver-detail requirements before dispatch. Check dock, forklift, rear or side-loading arrangements at both ends. The reception address may not be the goods entrance.

Alderley Park and laboratory buildings

Alderley Park is a separate campus with multiple tenants and buildings. Supply the actual destination, receiver and unloading instructions rather than treating Macclesfield as a complete delivery address.

Protect instruments and describe the precise goods. Temperature, sample classification, batteries or packaging requirements need assessment before acceptance. Public visitor access does not establish permission for a freight handover.

Town-centre shops and business premises

Confirm the service entrance, lawful loading location, current street restrictions and private receiving window. Shop opening hours do not mean a loading bay is available for any vehicle.

For bulky stock or fittings, describe stairs, lifts, narrow doors, thresholds and final placement. Crew and handling equipment are separate arrangements to agree. A tail lift alone does not move a pallet over steps or poor ground.

Bollington, Prestbury and rural approaches

Neighbouring settlements and rural workshops have their own site approaches. Send the full postcode, unit or property name and any directions provided by the recipient.

Check permitted vehicle size, turning space, unloading surface and overhead limits. Photos help with narrow entrances and gradients. A shorter distance across lanes may not be the suitable route for a loaded rigid or artic.

Current roadworks and timed handover

Use Cheshire East travel information and official major-road conditions for current disruption. Historic announcements are not a live route check.

Confirm the ready time and latest receiving time together. A delayed release, changed gate or extended unload can affect the onward plan and quote. Tell our team promptly when those details change.

Macclesfield and surrounding collection areas

Where is your
collection?

We assess collections and deliveries across Macclesfield and nearby places, with onward UK transport. These are coverage areas, not Synergix offices. Supply the full address, postcode, unit and goods entrance.

Confirm the actual postcode, vehicle approach, turning space and ground.

Northern Cheshire technical sites

Adlington, Poynton, Alderley Park and Alderley Edge.

These are neighbouring localities. Campus handovers need a building, tenant and authorised receiver.

Onward UK movements

Local supplier transfers and UK deliveries assessed around both addresses and the actual load.

Coverage is not a local-office claim. Give ready time, deadline and any agreed return movement.

A useful enquiry. A clearer quote.

Tell us the job.
We will help plan it.

  1. The two addressesCollection and delivery postcodes, company/unit names, goods entrances and a contact at each end.
  2. What needs movingGoods description, item or pallet count, packaged dimensions, total and individual weights, stackability and photographs where useful.
  3. When it is readyDate, ready time, latest arrival, goods-in closing time and any booked slot or reference. Identify fixed deadlines.
  4. How it will be handledForklift, dock, tail lift, pallet truck, crane or crew at both ends. Include surface, aperture and vehicle-access limits.
  5. Any special requirementFragile finish, temperature, regulated goods, multiple stops, returnable packaging, returns or agreed final placement.
  6. Updates and repeat workYour preferred contact, delivery evidence and, for regular transport, frequency, expected volumes and seasonal peaks.

What affects the price?

Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.

For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Macclesfield mileage price that fits every load.

What happens if something changes?

Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.

An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book

Macclesfield transport
questions answered.

Courier, timing and delivery

How quickly can you collect in Macclesfield?

A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.

Can you deliver from Macclesfield elsewhere in the UK today?

It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.

Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?

A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.

Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?

Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.

How will I know the goods have been delivered?

Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.

What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?

Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.

Haulage, vehicles and handling

Do I need a courier or a haulage service?

Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.

Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Macclesfield?

Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.

Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?

We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.

How do I choose the right van or lorry?

Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.

Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?

Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.

Open LoadCheck

What if the receiving site has no forklift?

Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.

When must I request an electric pump truck?

Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.

Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?

Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.

Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?

We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.

Macclesfield access and local handovers

Can you assess equipment or ordinary supplies for a pharmaceutical site?

Yes. Describe the goods precisely and provide the department, freight gate, release reference, appointment and contact. Ordinary equipment, packaging and spares differ from medicines, classified samples or temperature-sensitive products. Any special acceptance, packing and transport conditions must be assessed before the booking is agreed.

Is Alderley Park the same as the Macclesfield AstraZeneca site?

No. They are separate destinations. Provide the full postcode, site, building and tenant or department for the actual job. A visitor reception or campus name is not enough to identify a freight handover. Confirm the authorised receiver, goods entrance, appointment and loading arrangements.

What helps protect a machined component or prototype?

Use suitable packaging and tell us about delicate finishes, fragile parts, upright-only instructions and non-stackability. Send complete packed dimensions and weights, plus any lifting or restraint instructions. Heavy assemblies need suitable loading equipment at both ends. We assess the actual item rather than relying on an industry label.

What is needed for a Hurdsfield collection?

Give the business and unit, goods gate, release time, reference and contact. Include packed sizes, individual weights and forklift, dock or other loading arrangements. Share any security or vehicle restrictions before dispatch. Confirm when the recipient can accept the load at the other end as well.

Price, booking and ongoing work

What affects the price of a Macclesfield courier or haulage job?

Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.

What information do you need to book?

Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.

Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?

Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.

Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?

No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
