01 / Same-day & dedicated courier
Liverpool courier.
A direct delivery.
If a missing component is holding up production, an event is waiting for its equipment or a customer needs stock today, call with the actual deadline. We arrange dedicated collection and delivery between the agreed points, without a parcel-network sorting hub.
Urgent business consignments
Documents, engineering parts, samples, tools, print, boxed stock and IT equipment can all need a dedicated courier. The smallest suitable vehicle depends on the packaged goods, not the label “parcel”. Send the quantity, dimensions and weights.
A server, delicate prototype or finished component needs packaging that protects it during loading and travel. Tell us if it must stay upright, cannot be stacked or needs a named recipient.
Pallets and bulky items
Courier work can include a suitable pallet or bulky consignment. We check the vehicle aperture, usable space, payload and unloading method. A pallet does not automatically fit a van just because it fits on the floor.
For heavier loads, several pallets or specialised unloading, see the haulage guidance. You can enquire without choosing the lorry first.
How quickly can we collect?
A Liverpool van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call for an estimate for your actual job. A rigid, artic, refrigerated body or specialist handling arrangement needs its own availability check.
Collection speed is only part of the plan. Tell us when the goods will be released, how long loading will take and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. A late production-equipment request for a waterfront event needs a different assessment from a scheduled supplier collection in Speke.
Liverpool collections and onward UK delivery
Give the correct goods entrance for a city-centre shop, a Knowledge Quarter building or a unit in Speke. For event equipment at Kings Dock, identify the organiser, receiving point and booked arrival window. A postcode can lead to a public entrance rather than the agreed handover.
Liverpool, Garston, Speke, Wavertree, Aintree and neighbouring areas can be assessed for collection and onward delivery. For a movement across the Mersey, tell us the exact vehicle and goods requirements so the crossing can be checked. Any European or ferry movement also needs timing and documentation responsibilities agreed.
Updates, proof of delivery and repeat work
Our team remains your contact for the movement. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree any named-recipient, signature, photograph or reference requirements when booking.
We also assess scheduled supplier collections, branch transfers, multi-stop work and repeat courier routes. Phones are answered 24/7/365. The vehicle, crew and access at each end are confirmed for the booking.
02 / General & dedicated haulage
Liverpool haulage.
Planned around the load.
For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.
Dedicated pallet transport
Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.
We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.
Full loads, part loads and repeat work
A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.
Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.
Choose the body as well as the lorry size
Box and curtainsider
A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.
Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift
Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.
Temperature-controlled loads
Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.
Articulated and specialist trailers
Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.
Getting it off matters just as much
Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.
When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.
Timed deliveries and urgent haulage
A warehouse collection, port-related load or site delivery needs more than a Liverpool postcode. Send the operator, unit or terminal, booking reference, release time, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the freight.
Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.
Local work. Different requirements.
Transport shaped
by Liverpool.
Liverpool combines research and manufacturing with city-centre commerce, events and the wider Mersey port economy. These examples explain the load, handling and receiving details that change the transport plan.
Speke & south Liverpool
Manufacturing and industrial suppliers
South Liverpool includes industrial premises around Speke and established vaccine manufacturing at CSL Seqirus. Supplier components, packaging, maintenance parts and equipment can have very different requirements from a temperature-controlled finished product.
For a time-critical part, give its release time and receiving contact. For equipment or packaged materials, send actual dimensions, weights and loading points. Identify any temperature, chemical or regulated-goods requirement before acceptance; a general courier enquiry does not establish a pharmaceutical handling service.
Knowledge Quarter & Paddington Village
Research, technology and precision equipment
The Knowledge Quarter brings together universities, hospitals and science and technology businesses, including the Materials Innovation Factory. Transit cases, prototypes, instruments and replacement hardware may require a named handover between buildings.
Give the exact building, department, recipient and packaging instructions. Explain if the equipment must stay upright or cannot be stacked. Identify batteries, samples, chemicals and any temperature requirement before booking. A hospital or laboratory postcode does not establish a suitable goods entrance.
Mersey port economy & neighbouring Sefton
Port-related freight and distribution
The Port of Liverpool supports container and other cargo movements. Its northern terminals around Seaforth are in neighbouring Sefton, so a Liverpool delivery description must identify the actual terminal or warehouse.
Give the handling operator, cargo reference, release status and collection appointment. For containers, specify the container type and load details; for onward unpacked freight, give each item or pallet. Confirm loading equipment and who arranges clearance and controlled access.
City centre, Baltic Triangle & retail
Stock, print and commercial equipment
Liverpool city-centre businesses and creative premises can need replacement stock, printed material, display fittings and technical equipment. Light items can still be bulky, while finished surfaces need protection.
Give the service entrance, unloading window and final receiving point. Tell us about lifts, thresholds, steps and any agreed two-person handling. Do not assume a pedestrianised street is accessible to a delivery van because the business is open.
Kings Dock & waterfront venues
Exhibitions, events and return collections
The Liverpool waterfront event campus hosts exhibitions and other events. Stands, technical cases, display materials and supplies often have build-up and breakdown windows that matter more than general venue opening hours.
Send the organiser’s current exhibitor pack, event name, hall or stand and receiving contact. Agree who unloads, where cases are stored and when the return collection is ready. Stationary event refrigeration and refrigerated road transport are separate arrangements.
Across the Mersey in Birkenhead
Marine and defence supply-chain enquiries
Cammell Laird in Birkenhead publishes marine defence shipbuilding, repair and fabrication work. It is a separate Wirral location across the Mersey, rather than a Liverpool city factory, but provides relevant context for regional engineering enquiries.
For ordinary components, tooling or equipment, supply the precise goods, packaging, individual weights, deadline and authorised receiving contact. Identify controlled goods or security conditions before acceptance. We assess the movement without implying Synergix customers, approvals or clearances.
Local sector context: Knowledge Quarter Liverpool and Port of Liverpool information and Cammell Laird’s published defence work. Named organisations provide local context, not claims of Synergix customers.

Routes, loading
& site access.
Check the correct goods entrance, crossing and receiving instructions before dispatch. City-centre loading, waterfront events and port collections each need their own approach and handover plan.
Motorway approaches and the final gate
The M62 serves east-west journeys towards Liverpool, while northern port and industrial approaches can involve the M57, M58 and local roads. The appropriate route depends on the actual address, vehicle and current conditions.
Give the unit, gate, turning space and height or weight limits for the complete approach. A car route or a nearby motorway connection does not establish HGV access. Check official traffic information before a timed movement.
Queensway and Kingsway are different
Merseytravel publishes a 3.5-tonne weight limit for the Queensway (Birkenhead) Tunnel and separate vehicle limits for Kingsway (Wallasey). A goods-vehicle route across the Mersey must be checked for the actual gross vehicle weight, height, width and goods.
Do not apply the tunnel’s vehicle-weight limit to the cargo weight alone. Check official tunnel restrictions and safety guidance, current closures and the applicable toll before confirming the route. Special or regulated goods need their own assessment.
City-centre and pedestrianised receiving
Give the business’s actual goods entrance and a lawful loading point for central Liverpool. Delivery access, bay conditions and site unloading times can differ from public opening hours.
The council’s highway-permit information includes a specific works-vehicle pedestrian-zone permit. That is not blanket permission for an ordinary delivery. Obtain current receiving instructions and follow the signs.
Port appointments and release status
Peel Ports asks for a valid appointment before arriving at the Port of Liverpool through its relevant customer-access system and provides a haulier induction. Confirm the applicable terminal process with the operator.
Send the appointment, cargo or container reference, release status, terminal and driver check-in requirements. Check Peel Ports haulier access. A transport booking does not automatically provide customs clearance, terminal release or permission to enter.
Event loading and breakdown
For a waterfront event, use the current organiser-issued exhibitor pack. The venue’s public visitor entrance and an event goods-entry point are different arrangements; build-up and breakdown can have different vehicle slots.
Send the event, hall or stand, load details, organiser contact, booked time and return-collection window. The venue’s exhibitor information explains how the organiser supplies loading instructions. Do not reuse an old show manual.
Factories, research buildings and unloading
For Speke suppliers, a Knowledge Quarter building or a healthcare-related site, identify the team authorised to receive the load. Confirm loading equipment, any appointment and the final placement before dispatch.
Explain whether the goods need a forklift, dock, tail lift or agreed crew. Photos help with a narrow yard or protected equipment. Site check-in and public-road permission are separate matters, and access conditions must suit the vehicle and handling method.
Confirm the last few metres
Describe the ground, slope, kerb, steps, loading bay and final placement. Photos help with a narrow yard or awkward entrance. A tail lift lowers goods; it does not move a pallet over gravel, up steps or through a doorway.
Liverpool and surrounding areas
Where is your
collection?
We assess collections and deliveries across Liverpool and the surrounding area, with onward UK transport. These groups help describe the job. They are coverage areas, not Synergix branch locations or fixed service boundaries.
Liverpool city centre and research districts
City centre, waterfront and Kings Dock, Baltic Triangle, Knowledge Quarter, Paddington Village, Vauxhall and surrounding commercial streets.
Give the building, service entrance and receiving contact. Event and research handovers need their own instructions.
South and east Liverpool
Speke, Garston, Allerton, Aigburth, Wavertree, Old Swan, Edge Hill and surrounding areas.
Send the unit or department, goods entrance, loading equipment and the latest time the receiver can accept the load.
Northern Liverpool and neighbouring areas
Kirkdale, Anfield, Everton, Fazakerley, West Derby, plus Bootle, Seaforth and Aintree in the wider area.
Seaforth and Bootle are neighbouring Sefton locations. Identify the exact operator, terminal or industrial unit rather than using a general Liverpool address.
Across the Mersey and onward UK transport
Birkenhead, Wallasey and other Wirral locations, with onward movements to St Helens, Warrington and UK destinations.
The Wirral is across the river. The crossing, actual vehicle, goods, access and receiving time are assessed for the complete job.

What affects the price?
Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.
For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Liverpool mileage price that fits every load.
What happens if something changes?
Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.
An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book
Liverpool transport
questions answered.
Courier, timing and delivery
How quickly can you collect in Liverpool?
A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the exact address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and delivery deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated bodies and specialist equipment need their own positioning and availability check.
Can you deliver from Liverpool to another part of the UK on the same day?
It may be possible, depending on when the goods are released, loading time, vehicle position, distance, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete job before agreeing the delivery plan.
What can a dedicated courier carry?
Courier work can include documents, parts, samples, print, IT equipment, technical cases, boxed stock and suitable bulky or palletised goods. Give the packaged dimensions, quantities and individual weights so we can assess the vehicle, loading and receiving arrangements.
Will a dedicated courier load stay on the same vehicle?
It normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about extra stops, returns or unusual route requirements so the arrangement is clear before booking.
Can I call at night or at the weekend?
Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the load and confirm a suitable vehicle and plan. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the agreed times.
How will I receive delivery updates and proof of delivery?
Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and evidence you need when booking, including a named recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference.
Haulage, vehicles and unloading
Do I need a courier or a haulage arrangement?
Start with the goods and deadline. An urgent part, technical case or suitable pallet may need a courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat loads may need haulage. Send the load and site details and we will help you choose.
Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Liverpool?
Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with collection, delivery and a suitable vehicle agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and loading at both ends. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.
Can you discuss full loads, part loads and regular deliveries?
Yes. Full loads, regular haulage and supported part-load arrangements can be discussed. Agree the body, loading, collection window and delivery plan. Part-load availability is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.
How do I choose a van or lorry, and can LoadCheck help?
Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and overhang. Enter packaged dimensions, weights and quantities into LoadCheck for an initial size estimate. Our team confirms actual fit, usable payload, apertures, restraint, equipment, access and availability.
What if the delivery site has no forklift?
Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed crew may be an option, depending on the goods and site. Send item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, ground conditions and final placement. These handling methods solve different problems and must be agreed.
When must I request an electric pump truck?
Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets may also need powered handling. Platform load, footprint, ground and the actual equipment still need checking.
Can you assess a crane or mounted-forklift delivery?
Yes. Send the precise goods, individual weights, dimensions, lifting points or fork access, required placement and photographs of the unloading area. Crane reach and support conditions differ from forklift access. Suitability, equipment and availability are confirmed for the job.
Can you arrange refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?
We can assess both, with the product, required temperature and handover agreed. Refrigerated transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Tell us which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.
Liverpool access and local handovers
What information do you need for a Port of Liverpool collection?
Send the terminal or warehouse operator, cargo or container reference, release status, booked appointment, load details and handling arrangement. Confirm check-in, induction and access with the operator. A road booking does not itself provide customs clearance or release.
Can a lorry use either Mersey road tunnel?
No, the routes have different limits. Merseytravel publishes a 3.5-tonne weight limit for Queensway and separate limits for Kingsway. Check the actual vehicle’s gross weight, height, width, goods, current restrictions and toll before agreeing the route. Cargo weight alone is insufficient.
Can you deliver event equipment to the waterfront venues?
We can assess the movement. Send the event, hall or stand, organiser’s current loading instructions, booked window, receiving contact and packaged load details. Agree unloading, empty-case storage and any return collection before booking.
What details are needed for a Knowledge Quarter handover?
Give the building, department and authorised recipient, plus goods description, packaging, weights, ready time and deadline. Identify any temperature, sample, chemical or battery requirement. A public reception may not accept freight or move it to the intended department.
Can you collect in Speke, Garston, Bootle and surrounding areas?
We assess collections across Liverpool and nearby areas, including these locations. Send the exact address, entrance, load details and receiving instructions. Bootle is in neighbouring Sefton. Timing depends on the job and suitable vehicle availability.
Can you assess marine or defence supply-chain components?
Send the precise goods, protective packaging, individual weights, handling, deadline and authorised receiving contact. Ordinary components and tooling are assessed for an appropriate arrangement. Identify controlled goods, security conditions or special permissions before acceptance.
Can a van unload outside a city-centre shop?
Only where lawful access and loading can be arranged at the actual address. Give the goods entrance, permitted unloading window and restrictions. A pedestrian-zone works permit or a shop’s opening hours is not general delivery permission.
Price, booking and changes
What affects the price of a Liverpool courier or haulage job?
Vehicle positioning, route distance, body type, deadline, waiting, loading, extra stops, handling equipment and additional labour affect the quote. Send accurate goods and site details. We price the actual arrangement rather than applying one mileage rate to every load.
How do I book, and what happens if the job changes?
Request a quote or call with both addresses, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, quantities, ready time, deadline, contacts and handling at both ends. We confirm the vehicle, plan and price for the booking. Tell us promptly about added goods, delayed release or a changed slot so we can reassess.
Can you discuss warehousing, retail distribution or two-person delivery?
Yes. Send the usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person handling can be considered within a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.
