Crewe collections • UK delivery

Crewe
courier & haulage.

An urgent automotive component, a protected rail assembly or a scheduled pallet collection from Crewe Gates. Synergix arranges same-day courier and road haulage in Crewe and surrounding South Cheshire. Send the load details, ready time and receiving deadline. We will help plan the vehicle, loading and handover for the actual job.

Your load.
The right vehicle.

Browse the van, rigid, articulated and specialist options, then open a vehicle guide for dimensions, body types and loading advice. You can ask for a particular vehicle or let us work from your load details.

Vehicle illustrations show example bodies. We confirm the actual vehicle, usable space, payload and equipment for your booking. Specialist configurations are subject to suitability and availability.

01 / Same-day & dedicated courier

Crewe courier.
A direct delivery.

When a supplier part, equipment case or urgent stock has to reach a named recipient, the collection and delivery need to work together. We arrange dedicated transport between the agreed addresses, with the load, vehicle and receiving deadline assessed before booking.

Parts, tooling and protected assemblies

Crewe's automotive and rail businesses create different enquiries: a small replacement part, protected trim, test equipment or a heavier assembly. Tell us what is packed and ready, which business can release it and when the recipient can receive it.

Finished surfaces, delicate instruments and upright-only cases need their instructions and restraint agreed. Dimensions include crates, cases and projecting packaging; the industry label alone does not tell us the vehicle needed.

Stock and suitable pallets

Dedicated courier enquiries can include commercial stock, documents and suitable palletised goods. Send the loaded dimensions, quantity and individual weights. Available volume does not establish payload, door clearance or safe loading.

For a larger assembly, bulky fitting or a site without a forklift, describe the handling at both ends. The haulage guidance covers heavier vehicles and equipment. You can ask us to assess the job without choosing a lorry first.

Ready time, vehicle and receiving deadline

A van collection in Crewe may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the actual location, goods and suitable vehicle availability. Call for an estimate for your job. Rigids, artics and specialist equipment need a separate availability check.

A factory release reference, security check or workshop delay can change the receiving plan. Confirm packing, staff and loading equipment are ready, and distinguish a goods-in deadline from general business opening hours.

Local collection and onward UK delivery

Collections may be from Pyms Lane, Crewe Gates, Crewe Green Business Park or a workshop elsewhere in town. Give the exact unit and goods gate. We assess local supplier transfers and onward UK journeys from both full addresses rather than a generic Crewe-to-city travel time.

The ready time, route and latest receiving time determine whether a same-day movement is achievable. European work also needs goods documents and customs responsibilities agreed. A collection estimate is not a delivery guarantee.

Updates and repeat collections

Our team remains your point of contact. Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available; agree the recipient, updates and any signature, photograph or reference requirement when booking.

Scheduled supplier runs, stock transfers and out-of-hours enquiries can also be discussed. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Timing, vehicle allocation and site access are confirmed for the booking.

02 / General & dedicated haulage

Crewe haulage.
Planned around the load.

For dedicated pallet transport, heavier engineering freight or a regular trailer movement, Synergix arranges the vehicle and driver around your load, handling and receiving requirements. Options include 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigids, full artics and suitable specialist configurations.

Dedicated pallet transport

Tell us the actual loaded footprint, height, weight and whether the freight can be stacked. A nominal pallet size does not include a crate, machine or packaging that projects beyond it.

We arrange a dedicated vehicle for your palletised goods, with collection, delivery and loading agreed for your job. Our team coordinates the movement and remains your point of contact. Tell us about fragile freight, specific handling or a timed delivery when booking.

Full loads, part loads and repeat work

A full vehicle can support larger consignments, stock transfers, production schedules and loads needing dedicated capacity. Agree the body, floor space, payload and loading order.

Part-load haulage can also be discussed where a suitable arrangement is available. Agree its collection window, delivery plan and handling before booking. For regular work, send your collection frequency, usual volumes, busy periods, site opening hours and return-load requirements.

Choose the body as well as the lorry size

Box and curtainsider

A box body uses its specified door opening and loading arrangement. A curtainsider can allow suitable forklift loading from the side. Check clear aperture, side access and restraint; curtains alone are not a universal load-securing system.

Flatbed, crane and mounted forklift

Long material, machinery or a delivery without a forklift may need a different body or handling method. A HIAB-type crane and MOFFETT-type forklift do different jobs. Supply load weights, lifting points or fork access, required reach and site photographs.

Temperature-controlled loads

Specify the product, required temperature, collection condition, packaging and monitoring or handover records. A refrigeration unit changes the vehicle specification; confirm its actual payload and space.

Articulated and specialist trailers

Curtainsider, box, refrigerated, flatbed and specialist trailer requirements are assessed individually. A long or heavy item needs its full dimensions, weight distribution and loading plan checked. The illustrated range does not establish suitability for every load.

Getting it off matters just as much

Confirm a forklift, loading dock, tail lift or other agreed equipment at both ends. For a tail-lift delivery, we need the individual item weight, footprint, all weight on the platform, permitted handling method, load centre and the surface beyond the lift.

When pallet-truck handling is needed for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more, request an electric pump truck. This is Synergix's booking requirement. Lower weights can also need powered handling. A tail lift and pallet truck do not automatically solve gravel, slopes, steps or an unsuitable pallet.

Read our tail-lift and pallet-truck guidance.

Timed deliveries and urgent haulage

A booked supplier slot at Crewe Gates, a factory shutdown or a construction delivery needs more than an arrival postcode. Send the booking reference, goods entrance, vehicle limits, loading method and a contact who can accept the load.

Urgent rigid or artic capacity can be assessed by our team. It does not carry the van collection estimate. Vehicle positioning, loading time, traffic, site appointments and applicable driver-hours limits determine the plan. UK, Ireland and European freight may also need ferry and goods-document arrangements.

Local work. Different requirements.

Transport shaped
by Crewe.

Automotive manufacturing, rail-component overhaul and industrial/business estates are central to Crewe's transport context. Nearby Radway Green adds an independently verified defence-manufacturing site, geographically separate from the town centre. The named organisations establish local context, not Synergix customer relationships. The transport examples help identify the goods, handling and receiving details needed for an enquiry.

Bentley at Pyms Lane

Automotive suppliers and protected components

Bentley's own current material identifies its Crewe manufacturing campus. Supplier enquiries can involve tooling, boxed components, protected trim and equipment, with a receiving department and release time to agree.

Provide the supplier or department, packed sizes, weights and handling instructions. Coated panels and delicate finishes need protection and restraint. Bentley's public visitor centre and tour arrangements do not establish a delivery gate or freight receiving hours.

Alstom Crewe Works

Rail-component overhaul and workshop loads

Alstom's November 2025 update describes Crewe Works' bogie, wheel, traction-motor and HVAC overhaul activity. A small replacement component and a heavy workshop assembly require different road-transport arrangements.

Give individual weights, lifting or fork access, centre-of-gravity information where relevant and the exact packed footprint. Confirm the releasing department, receiving reference and loading method. General facility context is not permission to enter rail infrastructure.

Crewe Gates and Crewe Green

Industrial stock and business equipment

Cheshire East identifies Crewe Gates Industrial Estate and Crewe Green Business Park as strategic employment areas. Council business-centre information also describes Crewe workshop and office premises.

For stock, print, IT equipment or machinery, provide the precise tenant and unit, goods entrance and release contact. A business-park name or office reception may be insufficient for a larger vehicle. Include stairs, apertures, loading bays and any timed slot.

Nearby Radway Green

Defence-site supplies and agreed acceptance

BAE Systems identifies its Radway Green manufacturing site near Alsager, off M6 junction 16. This is neighbouring South Cheshire defence activity, not a Crewe town-centre site or a Synergix customer claim.

An enquiry might involve ordinary maintenance equipment, tooling or site supplies. Describe the exact goods and share receiving references and access requirements. This local context does not establish Synergix security clearance or acceptance of weapons, ammunition, dangerous or controlled goods; these require separate assessment.

The last mile matters

Routes, loading
& site access.

Crewe's railway lines, large manufacturing premises and industrial units make the actual gate and final approach important. Plan around the assigned vehicle, current road conditions and the site's own receiving instructions.

M6, A500 and the address-specific approach

Crewe connects to the M6 via the surrounding road network, including the A500 towards junction 16. Choose the approach to the actual collection unit, with current restrictions and conditions checked.

Do not infer clearance from a car route across a railway bridge. Share known height or weight limits, turning space and the freight entrance. A motorway connection does not establish an HGV-safe final mile.

Manufacturing gates and supplier references

For Pyms Lane or another large works, obtain the current goods entrance, receiving department, reference and booked slot from the site. Public reception and visitor information serve a different purpose.

Send advance driver-detail, induction, PPE or security requirements before dispatch. Confirm loading equipment, ready time and who can release and accept the consignment. A site name alone cannot authorise entry.

Rail works and heavy assemblies

Identify the workshop or department and its road-freight handover point. Rail-site visitor access is not a general instruction for a delivery vehicle.

For motors, wheels or other heavy equipment, send the complete weight, packaging, lifting points and loading plan. Agreed handling must work at both ends. An illustration of a crane or forklift does not establish suitability for a particular lift.

Retail, offices and the unloading surface

Check lawful street loading and private service-yard instructions. Include the unit, named recipient and any stairs, lift, narrow doorway or final-placement request.

A tail lift does not make a pallet truck suitable for gravel, slopes or steps. Describe the ground and space around the vehicle, with photographs where useful. Crew and final placement need agreement before booking.

Surrounding South Cheshire sites

Nantwich, Shavington, Haslington, Weston and Alsager are separate collection localities. A Crewe postal reference or nearby motorway junction is not the full site address.

Give both postcodes and goods gates. For a rural workshop or project, share the approach, turning space and permitted vehicle size. Do not assume a short geographic distance guarantees a quick handover.

Current disruption and timed receiving

Use Cheshire East travel information and official major-road conditions to review current disruption. Follow current signs and site updates.

Tell us if release or a booked slot changes. Waiting, repositioning and the unloading duration can alter the plan and quote. An old roadworks announcement is not evidence that a route remains closed or has reopened.

Crewe and surrounding collection areas

Where is your
collection?

We assess collections and deliveries across Crewe and nearby places, with onward UK transport. These are coverage areas, not Synergix offices. Supply the full address, postcode, unit and goods entrance.

A useful enquiry. A clearer quote.

Tell us the job.
We will help plan it.

  1. The two addressesCollection and delivery postcodes, company/unit names, goods entrances and a contact at each end.
  2. What needs movingGoods description, item or pallet count, packaged dimensions, total and individual weights, stackability and photographs where useful.
  3. When it is readyDate, ready time, latest arrival, goods-in closing time and any booked slot or reference. Identify fixed deadlines.
  4. How it will be handledForklift, dock, tail lift, pallet truck, crane or crew at both ends. Include surface, aperture and vehicle-access limits.
  5. Any special requirementFragile finish, temperature, regulated goods, multiple stops, returnable packaging, returns or agreed final placement.
  6. Updates and repeat workYour preferred contact, delivery evidence and, for regular transport, frequency, expected volumes and seasonal peaks.

What affects the price?

Vehicle positioning, loaded distance, vehicle/body type and time at collection and delivery all contribute. Waiting, additional stops, handling equipment, extra labour, route charges and a return journey can alter the quote.

For ferry or European work, route timing and goods-document requirements also matter. We quote the actual movement; there is no single Crewe mileage price that fits every load.

What happens if something changes?

Tell us promptly about an extra pallet, heavier item, delayed release, changed entrance or missed slot. We can reassess the vehicle, deadline and cost before an unsuitable arrangement causes a problem.

An enquiry is the start of the conversation. Vehicle allocation, timing, handling and price are confirmed for the booking.

Before you book

Crewe transport
questions answered.

Courier, timing and delivery

How quickly can you collect in Crewe?

A van collection may be possible in around 45 minutes, subject to the address, goods and a suitable available vehicle. Call with the ready time and deadline for an estimate. Lorries, refrigerated vehicles and specialist equipment need their own availability and positioning check.

Can you deliver from Crewe elsewhere in the UK today?

It may be possible, depending on when the goods are ready, loading time, vehicle position, road conditions and the receiver’s latest acceptance time. Give us both addresses and the actual deadline. We assess the complete movement before confirming a plan.

Will my dedicated courier delivery stay on the same vehicle?

A dedicated courier movement normally stays on the same vehicle between the agreed collection and delivery points, without a parcel-network sorting hub. Tell us about additional stops, a return collection or any unusual route requirement so the arrangement is clear before booking.

Can I call at night, at weekends or on bank holidays?

Yes. Our phones are answered 24/7/365. Call to discuss the movement and confirm the suitable vehicle, handling and receiving arrangements. Someone must be available to release the goods and accept them at the proposed times.

How will I know the goods have been delivered?

Live tracking and electronic proof of delivery are available. Agree the updates and receiving evidence you need when booking, including any named-recipient, signature, photograph or delivery reference requirement.

What happens if collection is delayed or the delivery slot changes?

Contact our team promptly. A later release, changed receiving slot or additional waiting can affect the vehicle, driver schedule, arrival plan and cost. Give us the new ready time and receiver’s instructions so we can reassess the movement.

Haulage, vehicles and handling

Do I need a courier or a haulage service?

Start with what needs moving and the deadline. An urgent component, parcel or suitable pallet may need a dedicated courier. Heavier freight, larger volumes, specialist bodies or repeat work may need a haulage arrangement. Send the load details and we will help you choose.

Can you arrange dedicated pallet transport in Crewe?

Yes, we assess dedicated pallet movements with the vehicle, collection and delivery agreed for the job. Send the loaded footprint, height, individual weights, quantity, stackability and unloading arrangements. Synergix does not offer pallet-network services.

Can you arrange full loads, part loads and regular haulage?

We can discuss full loads, regular work and supported part-load arrangements. The collection window, delivery plan, body, loading method and availability must suit the job. A part-load enquiry is assessed individually; it is not a pallet-network product.

How do I choose the right van or lorry?

Measure each item as it will travel, including packaging, the pallet and any overhang. Give the quantity, individual and total weights, stackability and any orientation limit. We check the actual load space, aperture, working payload, equipment and site access. Vehicle gross weight is not cargo payload.

Can I use LoadCheck before asking for a quote?

Yes. Enter packaged dimensions, item weights and quantities for an initial vehicle-size estimate. Send the result with your enquiry. LoadCheck does not confirm actual vehicle fit, restraint, loading equipment, payload, availability or a booking.

Open LoadCheck

What if the receiving site has no forklift?

Tell us before booking. A suitable tail lift, mounted forklift, crane or agreed handling crew may be an option, but they solve different problems. We need the item weights, dimensions, fork access or lifting points, surface and final placement. Equipment does not come with every vehicle.

When must I request an electric pump truck?

Under Synergix’s booking rule, request an electric pump truck when pallet-truck handling is required for an individual loaded pallet weighing 800 kg or more. Lighter pallets can need powered handling too. Check the lift and platform capacity, footprint, all weight on the platform, ground and handling method. The threshold is not automatic proof of safe handling.

Do goods need packaging for a dedicated journey?

Yes, they need packaging suitable for the goods and the planned handling. A dedicated vehicle does not remove the risk of movement during loading and travel. Protect fragile surfaces, sharp edges and delicate equipment; tell us about upright-only, non-stackable or special restraint requirements.

Can you provide refrigerated transport or event refrigeration?

We can assess both, with the product, temperature and handover requirements agreed. Refrigerated road transport moves goods under an agreed temperature arrangement. Stationary event refrigeration provides storage at a venue. Explain which you need, the duration, access and any power requirement.

Crewe access and local handovers

Can you assess an urgent automotive part or protected panel?

Yes. Send the complete packed dimensions and weights, ready time and receiving deadline. Explain fragile finishes, upright-only requirements and restraint instructions. Give the releasing business, exact gate and recipient. A small part and a large panel can need different vehicles even when both are for the same production site.

What do you need for a Crewe Works road delivery?

Provide the workshop or department, current road-freight entrance, reference, slot and contact. Include the precise goods, packed size, weights and loading equipment at both ends. Heavy assemblies require lifting or fork-access details. General directions do not establish access permission or a suitable unloading arrangement.

Are factory-tour directions suitable for a supplier delivery?

Not necessarily. A visitor centre or reception can be separate from goods-in, with different access and opening arrangements. Obtain the current freight gate, receiving reference and appointment directly from the site. Share any security, PPE and advance driver-detail requirements before the vehicle is dispatched.

Can you assess ordinary supplies for a Radway Green site?

Send the exact goods, site and receiving requirements for assessment. Radway Green is near Alsager, so confirm the full address and authorised goods gate. Local defence manufacturing does not imply Synergix has clearance or accepts weapons, ammunition, hazardous or controlled goods. Ordinary equipment and any specialist goods need their own acceptance decision.

Price, booking and ongoing work

What affects the price of a Crewe courier or haulage job?

Vehicle positioning, route distance, body and vehicle type, waiting, unloading, handling equipment, additional stops and the deadline affect the quote. Give accurate load and site details. Tell us about changes before dispatch so we can explain any effect on the arrangement or price.

What information do you need to book?

Send both full addresses and goods entrances, contact details, ready time and latest delivery time, item quantities, packaged dimensions, individual and total weights, stackability and loading equipment at both ends. Include access restrictions, references, photographs and any special handling or temperature requirement.

Can you discuss regular deliveries, warehousing or two-person work?

Yes. Give your usual route, frequency, volumes, receiving windows and seasonal peaks. Warehousing, cross-docking, retail distribution and agreed two-person delivery can be considered as part of a wider arrangement. Storage location, handling scope, availability and commercial terms are agreed separately.

Does sending an enquiry confirm my booking?

No. An enquiry starts the discussion. The vehicle, collection and delivery plan, handling, price and booking acceptance must be confirmed. A generated enquiry reference or LoadCheck result does not establish vehicle allocation or successful email delivery.
