Food transport.
Chilled & frozen.

Fresh produce to a wholesaler, chilled stock to a restaurant or a frozen load needed by a distributor. Synergix arranges food transport around the product, its required conditions and the receiving deadline. Dedicated courier, scheduled deliveries and refrigerated haulage can be matched to suitable consignments across the UK and Europe. Send the goods, temperature specification, packaged load and collection-ready time so we can confirm the vehicle and handover before booking.

Transport around your operation

Protect the product.
Keep the supply moving.

The delivery deadline and product specification belong in the same plan. A ready consignment and an available receiving team make the vehicle useful.

Urgent stock

Recover a shortfall before the next service.

A missed supplier run or unexpectedly busy trading period can leave ready stock in the wrong place. We assess a dedicated movement from the producer, wholesaler or warehouse to the destination that needs it. Tell us the latest useful arrival and required product conditions. Our standard rapid courier proposition does not mean every refrigerated vehicle can collect within the same window; the actual response is agreed against the goods and suitable capacity.

Repeat deliveries

Plan around production and goods-in.

Connect producers, distribution centres, wholesalers and catering locations with scheduled transport. Include production-release times, order quantities, receiving slots and unloading arrangements. A route carrying several deliveries must account for the time at each stop and the conditions needed throughout. Agree what happens to cages, trays and empty packaging so returnables support the next production run rather than accumulating without a collection plan.

Larger consignments

Match the whole load to the vehicle.

Refrigerated haulage supports suitable palletised and larger loads when a van cannot provide the space, payload or operating specification. Provide total loaded weight, pallet footprints and heights, stackability and any separation requirements. Check the dock, tail lift or forklift arrangement at both ends. Standard van and truck guide dimensions are a starting point; a refrigerated body and its equipment can change usable capacity.

Choose by the goods, handling and site

The right vehicle.
The space your load needs.

From urgent boxed supplies to bulky equipment and full loads. These standard-body dimensions are planning guides. Refrigerated conversions and specialist equipment change usable space, payload and access; the assigned vehicle is checked for your job.

An engine can reach a weight limit before using the floor space. A bumper or panel can need space without much weight. Check the packaged load, door opening, lifting equipment and unloading point. Tail lifts, body conversions and specialist handling affect useful payload and access.

A practical guide to your load

Types of food and temperature-sensitive goods we transport

Different products need different conditions. Declare the exact goods and supplier specification rather than relying on a generic chilled or frozen label.

  • Fresh produce
  • Dairy & chilled food
  • Meat, poultry & seafood
  • Frozen goods
  • Bakery & confectionery
  • Ambient & dry goods
  • Samples & launches
Fruit, vegetables and fresh produce.

Crates, cartons and palletised produce need protection from crushing as well as the agreed journey conditions. Include ventilation or orientation instructions and whether the product needs refrigeration. A pallet can be within the vehicle weight limit while still being unsuitable for stacking. Coordinate harvest or packing readiness with the receiving team so the transport supports the product’s useful shelf life.

Dairy and packaged chilled products.

Milk-based products, cheese, prepared chilled stock and other packaged food should travel to their stated handling specification. Provide the required range, collection condition and packaging format, plus delivery references and any batch details needed by your recipient. Confirm monitoring and records in advance. A live vehicle tracking link shows location; it is not automatically a product-temperature record.

Meat, poultry and seafood consignments.

These enquiries need clear product identity, packaging, condition and segregation requirements before acceptance. State whether goods are fresh, chilled or frozen, and distinguish raw products from ready-to-eat items. Secure suitable containers and include any leakage or odour controls in the brief. The transport plan must match the declared product rather than assuming all food can share one loading arrangement.

Frozen food and ice-cream transport.

Frozen meals, ingredients and ice cream can have different transport requirements. Send the product-specific temperature and any acceptable limits supplied by the owner of the goods. Confirm the vehicle, ready-loaded condition, door-opening pattern and prompt unloading at the destination. The service is planned to maintain agreed conditions in transit; it should not be booked as a way to freeze an unprepared load.

Bakery, chocolate and confectionery.

Packaged bakery goods, chocolate and finished confectionery may need protection from heat, moisture, crushing or movement even when they do not require the same conditions as frozen food. Tell us the required environment and fragile finishes. Tray dimensions, stacking limits and returnable equipment affect the load plan. Schedule delivery against production completion and the recipient’s storage arrangements.

Ambient food and dry ingredients.

Packaged dry goods and suitable ambient products can use a service matched to their protection and cleanliness needs. Include the packaging, food-contact requirements, load weight and any separation instructions. Ambient does not mean unrestricted exposure to weather or an automatic licence to mix food with other freight. Product suitability, compatible loads and handover conditions are checked for the booked movement.

Food samples and promotional stock.

Time-sensitive samples, launch stock and tasting supplies often need a named recipient and a precise delivery point. Identify the product, quantity, conditions and latest useful arrival, along with any batch or order reference. A small consignment still needs the right temperature and packaging. Include any return of reusable containers and say whether the delivery is to a business, venue or laboratory receiving team.

Why choose Synergix?

A clear plan for a sensitive load.

Practical transport, delivery visibility and people managing the work around your operation.

Rapid courier response

60-minute UK-wide courier collections.

When suitable stock is ready, rapid courier collection helps recover missing supplies before a service or dispatch deadline. Confirm the collection window against the ready time and suitable vehicle. Specialist vehicles need a separate availability check.

Insured movements

Fully insured transport.

Your food goods deserve the right protection. Declare the goods and value so applicable cover and any additional arrangements can be confirmed for the booked service before collection.

See the handover

Live tracking and proof of delivery.

Follow the movement and confirm arrival with live PODs. Registered customers can access booking, tracking and POD records through the customer portal, helping the receiving team plan and your office close the delivery record.

Fewer transfers

Dedicated direct courier delivery.

A direct journey can reduce transfers and avoid unnecessary handling for packaged food and time-sensitive consignments. A dedicated courier vehicle is committed to the agreed job. Planned multi-drop and haulage movements follow their own booked plan.

Connected support

One team for the wider operation.

Join urgent courier, planned routes and refrigerated haulage around your suppliers and receivers. Any food storage or cross-docking conditions are assessed separately. Active operations support, available 24/7/365, keeps somebody managing changes to dispatch, receiving or the route.

Practical experience

Transport knowledge behind the plan.

Synergix brings established drinks, retail and event supply experience to the plan. Exact food conditions are confirmed for each movement. Three generations of family transport experience inform the vehicle, access and handling decisions, with integrity and fair value at the centre of the service.

Active operations, 24/7/365.

Our team monitors the booked work, keeps you informed and acts when plans change. Courier, haulage and agreed storage can be planned together across the UK, with European movements arranged around their own route and border requirements.

Courier collection timing is confirmed at booking against location, load, traffic, vehicle and availability. Larger and specialist vehicles need their own availability check. Insurance cover follows the declared goods and booked service.

Product conditions

Specify the conditions before collection.

The temperature, packaging and receiving plan should be clear to everyone handling the goods.

Before loading

Have the consignment ready to travel.

Confirm the product is packed and prepared to its required dispatch condition before the vehicle arrives. Give the total load details, supplier instructions and any raw/ready-to-eat or allergen separation requirements. Food should be protected from contamination with suitable containers and identification. Tell us about a late production release promptly so timing can be reassessed.

During the journey

Agree monitoring and the response plan.

Say what measurements, logging, reporting or temperature trace your customer requires. We confirm what is available for the assigned vehicle and booking. Agree who operations should contact about delay or a condition concern and what the product owner needs to decide. Vehicle location, delivery signature and a temperature record answer different questions.

Delivery & handover

Make the receiving window work.

A chilled vehicle at the gate still needs a workable unloading and intake arrangement.

Booked goods-in

Send the actual intake instructions.

Provide the correct depot entrance, booking slot, order reference, receiver and equipment. Tell us about check-in, temperature checks, bay allocation and expected unloading time. A controlled-temperature journey needs a receiving team ready to move goods into appropriate storage. A closed warehouse or unbooked slot can undermine an otherwise realistic schedule.

Routes & returnables

Plan the stops and the return.

Regular deliveries can connect suppliers, distribution sites and hospitality locations. Give each stop’s load, receiving hours and unloading limits, with any trays, cages or containers to be collected. Different required temperatures may need a specific compartment arrangement or separate vehicles. Confirm that plan rather than assuming every mixed load can travel together.

Event refrigeration

Need cold storage at the event?

Stationary refrigerated trailer hire is a separate requirement from moving food in a refrigerated vehicle.

On site

Hire, positioning and collection.

Synergix can deliver a refrigerated trailer to an event, position it as agreed, leave it for the booked hire period and collect it afterwards. Specify the goods, operating requirements, dates, power and responsible site contact. Suitable access, ground and turning room matter for delivery and removal, not just the trailer’s final position.

On the road

Book the transit conditions separately.

If stock also needs a refrigerated road journey to the event, include the collection-ready condition and transit specification. The trailer left at the venue does not by itself establish how the stock reaches it. We can discuss both parts of the programme while keeping vehicle availability, temperatures and operating responsibilities clear.

UK & European transport

Tell us the whole job.

Send the actual product and required conditions, then the route, loaded sizes, ready time and delivery deadline. Include the receiving and monitoring details your customer needs.

  1. Goods & format

Product, packaging, pieces/pallets, dimensions and total loaded weight.

  2. Required conditions

Supplier temperature specification, dispatch condition and any separation instructions.

  3. Ready time & deadline

Release time, latest useful arrival, intake slot and opening hours.

  4. Loading & access

Dock, forklift, tail lift, cage handling, restrictions and contacts at both ends.

  5. Records & action

Required temperature evidence, order/batch references and contact if conditions change.

  6. Value & returns

Declared goods value, returnable equipment and any additional storage or return requirements.

Not sure which vehicle fits?

Use LoadCheck with the packaged sizes and total loaded weight, then confirm door access, handling and the assigned vehicle with our team. Standard-body figures do not confirm specialist or refrigerated capacity.

Useful answers before you book

Food, Chilled & Temperature-Controlled Goods transport questions.

Practical answers about the goods, timing, receiving and service.

Can Synergix arrange chilled and frozen food transport?

Yes. Refrigerated courier and haulage can be arranged for suitable goods against their required conditions. Send the product, temperature specification, quantity, route and timing so the appropriate vehicle and service can be confirmed.

What temperature will the vehicle use?

The agreed setting and operating requirements follow the actual product specification and vehicle capability. Send the required range before booking. A single published number would not establish suitability for every food product or journey.

Can frozen and chilled goods travel together?

They may need separate compartments or separate vehicles. Tell us both specifications, quantities and delivery order so the team can confirm a suitable arrangement. Do not assume a standard refrigerated vehicle has independent temperature zones.

Can you collect urgent food stock within 60 minutes?

Our UK-wide courier proposition offers 60-minute collections. Refrigerated and other specialist capacity needs its own availability check, so the actual response is confirmed against the product, locations and required vehicle before booking.

Can you provide a temperature record?

Specify the monitoring, logging and evidence required before booking. The team confirms the available arrangement for the assigned vehicle and service. Live tracking and a POD do not by themselves establish a temperature trace.

Do you transport small food samples?

Yes, suitable packaged samples can be assessed alongside larger consignments. Provide the product conditions, packed dimensions, weight, named recipient and latest useful arrival. Small quantities still need appropriate packaging and the right service.

Do you offer regular food delivery routes?

Yes. Planned routes can be scoped around supplier release times, delivery quantities, receiving windows and product conditions. Include every stop and returnable item so time, capacity and any temperature separation are assessed for the complete route.

Can you hold chilled stock in your warehouse?

Ask about the exact goods and storage specification first. General warehousing availability is not proof of suitable chilled or frozen capacity. We confirm whether the required facility, conditions, handling and release arrangements are available before accepting stock.

Is food transport insured?

We provide fully insured transport. Declare the goods and value and explain any temperature-sensitive risks so applicable cover can be confirmed for the booked service. Do not assume every product loss or temperature event has identical cover.

Can you supply a refrigerated trailer for an event?

Yes. Delivery, agreed positioning, the hire period and collection can be arranged. That stationary storage requirement is separate from refrigerated road transit. Include power, product conditions, dates and the site access plan in your enquiry.

How is refrigerated food transport priced?

The quote reflects route, vehicle, product conditions, timing, stops, handling, waiting and any required monitoring or returns. Send the whole movement so the price covers the service the food and receiving operation actually need.
