Question 1

Is this an instant courier quote?

Accepted Answer

The form creates an instant enquiry reference, but it does not generate an automatic price. A Synergix transport specialist checks the route, load, timing, vehicle and any handling requirements before confirming an accurate price.

Question 2

How quickly will I receive my courier or transport price?

Accepted Answer

Quote requests are reviewed as quickly as possible, with urgent same-day work prioritised. Response time depends on the route, vehicle, load and live availability. Call the 24/7 team if the vehicle needs to be dispatched immediately.

Question 3

What information do I need for an accurate delivery quote?

Accepted Answer

Provide the collection and delivery postcodes, full addresses, dates, strict times or time windows, a clear goods description, quantity, dimensions, total weight, loading method and any access restrictions.

Question 4

How much does a same-day courier cost in the UK?

Accepted Answer

There is no single nationwide price because same-day courier work is priced for the individual job. Distance, vehicle size, collection urgency, delivery deadline, waiting time, location, access and specialist handling can all affect the final charge.

Question 5

What affects a haulage, freight or pallet delivery quote?

Accepted Answer

Haulage pricing can depend on mileage, vehicle and trailer type, pallet spaces, dimensions, weight, loading and unloading arrangements, tail-lift requirements, timed bookings, ferry or toll costs, driver hours, overnight running and whether the load is dedicated or shared.

Question 6

Is it free to request a quote and am I obliged to book?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sending the online form is a free quote request and does not commit you to a booking. No payment is taken through this form.

Question 7

Does submitting the quote form confirm my booking?

Accepted Answer

No. Your job is booked only after Synergix confirms the price, vehicle, collection plan and any important conditions, and you accept the booking.

Question 8

Do I need a Synergix account to get a courier quote?

Accepted Answer

No. Businesses and individuals can request a price for a one-off delivery without opening a credit account. Regular customers can discuss account and invoicing arrangements separately.

Question 9

Can I request a same-day courier for collection today?

Accepted Answer

Yes, subject to the collection postcode, suitable vehicle and live driver availability. Enter today's date and the required collection time, then call the team if the job is urgent.

Question 10

How quickly can a driver collect my urgent delivery?

Accepted Answer

For many suitable same-day bookings, Synergix aims to arrange collection within 60 minutes. The realistic collection time depends on the postcode, traffic, vehicle required and live availability, and will be confirmed before booking.

Question 11

Can I request a nationwide or European transport quote?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Quote requests can cover local, regional and nationwide UK transport as well as European road movements. Include every postcode or overseas address, the required dates and any customs, ferry or delivery restrictions.

Question 12

Can I add several collections and deliveries to one quote?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add collections and deliveries to build a multi-drop route in the order the vehicle should visit each stop. Every stop can have its own address, date, timing, contact and instructions.

Question 13

What if I do not know which vehicle size I need?

Accepted Answer

Select Choose for me and give accurate dimensions, weight, quantity and loading details. You can also open Synergix LoadCheck from the form to compare the load against the available van and lorry sizes.

Question 14

Can you quote for pallets, bulky goods or full lorry loads?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Synergix can quote from small urgent items and individual pallets through to larger rigid vehicles and articulated full loads. State the pallet type, quantity, dimensions, total weight and whether the goods can be stacked.

Question 15

Can I request a tail lift and pump truck?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tick the equipment required on the form. Suitability depends on the vehicle, payload, pallet weight, ground conditions and safe access, so the quote team will confirm the final arrangement.

Question 16

Can I request a quote for fragile, high-value, ADR or temperature-controlled goods?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but these loads need a specific pre-booking check. Describe the goods fully and include the value, temperature range, ADR classification, packaging, documents, security requirements and any specialist handling needed.

Question 17

Can I get a quote for nights, weekends or bank holidays?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Synergix handles urgent transport enquiries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. Out-of-hours availability and pricing are confirmed for the particular route and vehicle.

Question 18

What happens after I submit the online quote form?

Accepted Answer

You receive an enquiry reference. The transport team reviews the route and load, checks the appropriate vehicle and availability, then contacts you with the price or any questions needed to complete the quotation.

Question 19

How long will an HGV or lorry take compared with a van or car?

Accepted Answer

An HGV journey can take longer on the same mileage. Goods vehicles can have different speed limits from cars, may need HGV-suitable routes and can be affected by driver breaks, loading time and site access. Synergix will plan the actual vehicle and confirm a realistic schedule.

Question 20

Which lorry size do I need: 7.5 tonne, 18 tonne, 26 tonne or articulated?

Accepted Answer

Vehicle choice depends on pallet spaces, individual dimensions, total weight, loading method, unloading equipment and access at every stop. Choose the exact vehicle if you know it, or select Choose for me and provide complete load details.

Question 21

Do HGV driver-hours and break rules affect delivery time?

Accepted Answer

They can, especially on longer journeys. The rules that apply depend on the vehicle and type of movement, but a lawful plan may need driving breaks, daily rest or a driver change. Synergix includes the relevant requirements when estimating collection and delivery times.

Question 22

Can a lorry reach every collection and delivery address?

Accepted Answer

No. Low bridges, weight or width limits, tight entrances, weak surfaces, residential restrictions and missing loading space can make an address unsuitable for an HGV. Add access details for every stop so suitability can be checked.
