Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
1. Introduction
Synergix Sameday is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chains. We take our responsibilities seriously and strive to ensure that slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or in the businesses we partner with.
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps we have taken to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our operations or our supply chains.
2. Our Business and Structure
Synergix Sameday is a UK-based logistics, haulage, and courier company providing transport and delivery services to a wide range of clients across the UK and internationally. We operate out of Stoke-on-Trent and work with a network of drivers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Our supply chains include:
Vehicle leasing and maintenance services
Fuel providers
IT and telematics services
Warehousing and packaging partners
Subcontracted drivers and logistics personnel
3. Our Commitment
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We aim to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or our supply chains.
4. Policies and Procedures
To mitigate the risk of modern slavery, we have implemented the following:
Supplier Code of Conduct: All suppliers and subcontractors are required to adhere to our ethical standards, including strict compliance with labour laws and human rights protections.
Whistleblowing Policy: We maintain a confidential reporting mechanism for employees and partners to raise concerns about unethical or unlawful conduct.
Employment Practices: We ensure all employees and agency workers are hired legally and fairly, paid at least the minimum wage, and are not subject to coercion or debt bondage.
5. Training and Awareness
We provide training and guidance to staff involved in procurement, HR, and operations to help them recognise the signs of modern slavery and understand how to respond appropriately.
6. Monitoring and Reporting
We review our practices and policies annually and monitor compliance within our supply chain. Any suspected breaches of this policy will be investigated and may result in disciplinary action or termination of contracts with offending suppliers.
7. Looking Ahead
We are committed to continually improving our systems to better detect and prevent modern slavery.
